Yes, it's still a big improvement for us and the Azkals deserve all the supporting BUT the fact is fact. A big chance in getting to the WC ? Who said that? ABS-CBN ? Don't get fooled buddy.. our chance of qualifying for WC 2014 is as slim as our chance of winning a medal at 2012 olympic basketball.

i agree. why do we have to imitate everything that is american? forget basketball because pilipinos are not designed for that sport. my problem is, although the great sport of football is slowly coming to pilipinos, the players are not pilipinos. why do we have to import everything, from models, to actors, to singers, to athletes, to executives, etc. non of them are really pilipinos. it just proves that we pilipinos are not talented at all.

i totally agree with you giocuison... i am german but my father is pinoy and ive often been back home so i am able to compare those two countrys when it comes to sport... and although there is so much history on the philippines when it comes to basketball today its just a joke if i compare it to european basketball... i watched a lot of the PBL and it is worse than school basketball in germany
so they should give football a try and maybe in 15-20 years they can compete in a world championship :)
