  • Anyone know the song starting at 13:26? Thanks.

  • This show is favorite show on tv, the people and the music are amazing , I've always loved the music of New Orleans and hope to visit one day , I can't wait for the third season to start , Long Live New Oleans !!

  • When is season three coming out? Please!

  • I think that's the most intelligent, brilliant, and veritable tv show I've ever seen... Can't wait for the third season ! :)

  • Did I see the guy from the big lebrowski?

  • John Goodman just kicks ass

  • Love watching this and showing how far the show has progressed within the arcs of these characters. All around fantastic portrait that has introduced me to the integrity of a culture that most of our nation's cities choose to deny for themselves.

  • O.perry walkers High School Band Is in Episode 6,

  • What happened to the new season???!!!!

  • @AEMTRAMP It's on the air now if that's what you mean.

  • @jbretel Literally who the fuck do you think you are? I couldn't imagine how awful it would be to live your life. Seriously, what would possess someone to write something like that, do you actually think you are helping anyone by posting some weird comment on a youtube video in which you somehow speak for an entire nation and at the same time quote the weirdest, tasteless thing i've ever seen . How much you clearly don't understand about the show is displayed in your opening comment, well done.

  • @lambonastickdead What jbretel said was not anything heartless nor negative....It was actually meant to give some positivity to what happen in New Orleans." "Against every strain of grass that is lost to the storm, there remains a seed embedded in the soil, that will grow, and replenish the grass that has been lost, and a field will grow, yet again" "....this means just because it seems as if everything was lost....it wasnt...there is something still left behind that can be used to rebuild.

  • @msmoet1 Yeah, I know he wasn't being offensive or negative and I did manage to read the incredibly subtle metaphor behind the beautifully poetic language of 'unknown'. My point was that maybe he should get on with his life instead of pretentiously quoting some random naff unrelated statement which is probably off some website. I just don't think that a comment on YouTube from "jbretel" is in anyway going to comfort anybody effected by the storm.

  • @lambonastickdead What have you done to comfort anyone affected by the storm? bashing on someone who (lives halfway across the world and who probably contributed in someway already) only sends his best regards for the city we live in. Learn to appreciate the little things in life, believe me it matters a lot. Don't tell me your one of those people who just collect food stamps and welfare and expect everything to be handed to them, get on with YOUR LIFE.

  • I see them film here all the time, they were just on broad street last week, I'd love to be on the show, my dad even knows Wendell pierce they went to the same school and lived in P Park.

  • 2 people ain't never been down here to the Mardi Gras

  • 2 people liked CSI.

  • More Luciaaaa!

  • looks promising.

  • I love this show!

  • Greetings from Boissise la Bertrand, France.

    I know what it means............

  • Hey HBO : suggestion - you should really upload Creighton Bernette's videos to YouTube - would make for interesting content and be a nice teaser for the show.

  • Great show, just finished watching it. Best character so far is Davis played by Steve Zahn. The show can be hella depressing but it's really good. HBO has a good track record with TV shows.

  • How about talking about oil coated ships poisoning new orleans residents as they chug through our drinking water intakes? how about a Rant over the fact that on the very day the oil stopped flowing Louisiana opened the Toxic Gulf waters to commercial fishing? as a lifelong resident I assure you to the simple fact New Orleans Is STILL The Cess Pool of America!

  • my grandma is an extra in this show

  • I can't have lemon ice because it would be a betrayal of Brocatos...ha! Love it!

  • The best TV show of the year so far.

  • I thought the music intro would be better for the show. But hey I hope the show is better than the music intro. Personally I can't watch the show one vid at a time, therefore, I will wait for the season to end, and just buy it so I can watch them all at once. It would kill me to wait one week inbetween.

  • Thank you HBO for this show. Am glued to the TV every Sun. night

  • where can I buy the soundtrack?? love the show

  • I so love this show; it's my Sunday nights. This show captures the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina; it's like it's still fresh in your mind. It still shows how f-d up things were when it happened.

  • It's right on the money . Everything in the show is exactly how things are . Im surprised on how on point they are. You wouldn't understand unless you live in new Orleans

  • Khandi Alexander ROCKS!!!

  • :) New Orleans is amazing and awesome.

Katrina was a disaster that came thru and I lived through it. I live in Louisiana.

This is going to be an amazing show and if you think some things are exaggerated, you got another thing coming.

  • @Bananafana10 glad to see theres still a lot of pride there, so happy that things are slowly but surely working themselves out down in NOLA....God bless ya, and glad ya made it through and are still positive!

  • can't wait till season 1 comes out on dvd

  • I love this show; good show.

  • Its a damn shame HBO shows us what really going on with these American citizens because the so-called news media can't get that done. Thanks HBO and Mr Simon. thank you so very MUCH

  • This looks alot more like REAL New Orleans than chit that's been made about the city before....DAMN "big easy" movie

  • great! need to check out Hurricane Katrina Song Washed Away - Kokomo Joe

  • I love this video on the making of TREME.

Everyone should watch it before watching the show on HBO.

  • Wow. I'm not an HBO subscriber with my cable service. But, will be now!!!! I'm going to enjoy Treme.

  • Saw the first episode and it's brilliant! Highly recommended, with great acting, fantastic music, interwoven threads, and a careful, respectful and loving eye toward the treasure that is New Orleans.

  • i think this is gonna be a Great show!...i just hope it shows my great city With Respect...Ain't no US city like it baby ;)

  • This show is going to be the "hammer"!

.. I only hope, it will be downloadable from the torrents, cos it would be a lil complicated to go to US just to watch the show, & go back to EU to continue my life .. each week .. well .. xD

  • I CAN'T WAIT...this guy did Homicide Life on the Street and The Wire, so you know I'm watching Treme

  • nice cast...but it looks boring nothing seems to even happen in this show..think ill skip this one like skippy

  • Looks prettty excellent. NOLA is often shown very inaccurately on the big screen. This could be a great one.

  • I'm excited that someone is finally getting our Southern Louisiana language and culture right.

  • Flipping awesome. Can't wait!

  • Can't wait for this.. I miss New Orleans so much. I'm blanking on the song that's playing in the very beginning (Down in the Treme/It's me and my baby...), sounds like Kermit Ruffins but I can't find it online, can anyone help with the name/album?

  • Looks good... but New Orleans in real life is full of CHARACTERS. I don't feel like the characters in the show are quirky enough. In real life, New Orleanians are somewhat loud, friendly, love to joke, and are full of life. Even though they are trying to be authentic, I can't help but feel like it is still just a cast of outsiders acting in the city. I guess New Orleans is something that just cannot be duplicated by people who didn't grow up there and by no fault of theirs, just don't get it.

  • is that allen toussaint at 10:58? seems so ;)

  • With the shots from the causeway it seems to pick up where The Wire left off. One of the last shots in the show was a pan of Baltimore. I can't wait for this.

  • Good stuff.

Heh, one note: out of town writer still not getting some things about New Orleans: Treme isn't "up from" the French Quarter, it's back from it. New Orleans directions are based on the river, not the compass.

  • Bring back The Wire

  • I love to see real story telling is being shown on TV. Thank you HBO!!!

  • goodman seems to have lost his edge.

  • @TheUltramagnus1 is this sarcasm? because i really don't see how anyone can watch that scene with him and the reporter and come to that conclusion

  • bunk! lester! but, yo String, where Wallace at?

  • Really wish we had HBO!

  • @BeFitNOLA google is ur best friend...

    .*hint* ninjavideo **hint*

  • wow! this looks great!! I cnat wait!

  • Anything David Simon is involved in is a must see! Looking forward to April 11, 2010.

  • So fuckin' excited over this show.

  • Looks awesome.

  • cant wait!

  • Steve Zahn just keeps getting more and more interesting.

  • Awesome!! I can't wait to watch it

    and I love Rob Brown
