Once I was going through a depression and anxiety and I saw a doctor who told me I should keep a journal, get more exersize, get more sleep and eat better. We came up w/ a specific plan. I went to a Psychiatrist for 4 years. He had me on only two anti-psych drugs at the same time. When I told him that I couldn't write anymore he was going to give me a drug for that also. Well it just so happens that particular symptom is what happens with the onset of Parkinsons disease. Didn't phase him a bit. He went right to his pad and was going give me a drug that probably had more side effects. Why? Because he knew he was legally protected. I fired him on the spot.

I don't think psychiatrists are so much in it for the money as just keeping their field of quackery legitimate. Pharma, however, is in it for the big bucks.

Thanks for this, Dr. Bellonzi. People need to be informed! When it turned out that I was almost fatally allergic to the Purple Pill, no one could believe it. I had almost every "less than 1%" symptom on the drug sheet. And it's a good thing I READ IT before I took the pills so I knew what those symptoms were and realized what was happening so I could call my doctor. I almost was in the hospital after only TWO PILLS. And that is a supposedly safe drug! READ. LEARN. THINK.

I do. And I haven't heard the argument. It just occurs to me that the association is likely to happen. And I think it does matter, a lot, what biases are influencing everything that we hear. Whether the bias comes from big drug companies, or from religions. So thankyou for clearing that up.

The scientology argument is just a rhetorical trick. There is an interview on this channel by Gwen Olsen a former pharmaceutical sales rep where she talks about this. She was told to answer any criticism on psychiatric drugs by equating it with Scientology.

Monsanto taught me a lot about how the FDA works, and how everything works, really. You really can't trust anything you hear - you have to seriously research it. Our government is no longer simply corrupted by corporate players - the same people are literally running both. Same with our nonprofit organizations like the ACA, run and partly funded by CEOs of pesticide companies and chemo companies. The AMA, ADA, etc. don't exist for humanitarianism, they are all corporations or trade unions.

I asked the question to someone sometime ago why we lost the war on drugs. He told me it is because the line has blurred between illegal drugs and the leagal ones. That they do the exact same thing but one is legal and one is not and its hard to stop something that you don't have the authority to stop. Hopefully this can be corrected.
