1st time i moved out was when i enlisted in the Navy, & moved 2 boot camp. That didn't work out & after i was discharged I had 2 move back. Then moved out again, with 2 roomates, but after I lost that job, they kicked me out & I had 2 move back again. I was just on the verge of getting things situated to move out again, when my sister died, and everything went to shit and I couldn't move out. Now I'm living with my mom, unemployed (& looking), & trying 2 help her take care of her grandchildren.

I hope you settle in without any troubles! Moving to a new place has always been easier for me if I do it alone without family. You can always join a club or a yoga class if the new place is a little lonely at first. Make your new place a temple to help motivate your personal developments.

Woman, I KNOW how it feels, I have been a "Room-mate" for about 13 years and JUST got my own Studio Apt. in May (but a lot of crappy things happened at the same time, LONG story) in a great City (of LA). My Internet was the 1st thing in because I need to keep in contact with Freelance Clients. I wish you well and ENJOY every minute. I have LOTS of nightmare stories that I'll put in my "Book" one day, hopefully we can share stories so YOU dont run into problems ;) Best of luck to you :D

Yes…. I’ve technically have moved out on my own. I moved out from mother’s house and when I say I moved out, what I really mean is that my mother threw me out so she could make room for her new douche bag, I mean boy friend and I’ve been living with my dad ever since and unfortunately it doesn’t look like I’ll be moving out anytime in the future. I’m flat broke and still very much unemployed………..yeah…… pretty pathetic huh?...

Hey Lena, I love you videos.Congrats on the new place!!!  It's great to be on your own, but it can be a little scary too. Everyone always says stay with your parents as long as you can and save your money for your own place, but I don't know anyone that got their own place because they saved by living at their parent's house. You get your own place when either, you get kicked out, or you can't stand it anymore. When you get it, you will do whatever you have to to keep it. (more hours, etc) ;>)

When I first moved out I got a place of my own (Never had a room mate) it was a house that had been split into two residences. The house was build in 1891 (Considered very old for the west coast), and was originally the whore house of the small mining town that it was in. So, it has a lot of history in it. And of course, my residence took up the upstairs rooms.

@kirdot2011 You know, I typically do not believe it haunted houses and the like. But there was some strange things that went on. Mostly strange noises, and sometimes I swear I put something someplace, but then it wasn't there. Although that was most likely me simply forgetting. But it was an interesting place to live. I now stick to much newer homes that don't have quite as colorful of a history :)

I moved out when it was time to go to College, what ended up happening was me and like 3 other friends ended up getting a house pretty much on campus. The house was 2 baths and 4 rooms with 2 living room areas and a nice kitchen, it was nice partying everyday it was better having others there it made the place funner
