  • (Part 2 of my response) Then they design and build the vessel to these parameters. This vessel will have to withstand tremendous temperatures and pressures and to guarantee this, it is built in a special welding shop, likely in Edmonton and rigorously quality control tested at the same time

  • The designers of these vessels make inquiries ahead of time with hauling contractors like Mammoet as to how big and heavy they can haul, and with the Department of Transport as to the loads that the structures are engineered for, or what has to be done to shore them up to allow the load to pass.

  • i wonder why they didn't break it up first then take it across in pieces. Jobs for those on site. Plus looking at it, it feels like the bridge will collapse with the heavy weight which I know it won't
