This is just supposed to be a completely new universe of existing marvel characters to make them marketable to the Japanese, it's not really intended for westerners. I suppose it is appropriate in that Logan is something of a loner and tragic hero and this, I suppose, is how that translates when taking into account Japanese taste...interesting.

Personally I think it looks cool. I mean if you think about it in the sense that if Wolverine never existed before now, if this were something completely new and never done before, most people would think it looked awesome. I for one think that way even if it doesn't match with the original comics and stuff. Like with books made into movies, I don't care if it matches the original, as long as it's good and the plot line is enjoyable, I'll watch it. And I'll like it.

Much like the Iron Man trailer, it has nothing to do with the series. Just a high budget animated flash show to keep occupied why they totally screw up the franchise. I got done watching the whole wolverine TV series. On less too many fans complained about trailer, it's seen the whole story was completely rewritten and the characters were redrawn. Fortunately Logan losses long luxurious hair. They did keep the giant golem though...lol
