Yea, some historical accounts do collaborate with other ancient stories, but there's one big difference; All the other cultures speak of a race of "Gods" coming from other worlds. Entheogens have nothing to do with 4D vision- As a way to enter the collective consciousness of all sentient beings, they have been used for thousands of years as a sacrament and tradition among shamans; Today they are used to experience the 'Gayan' mind (the Earth), and the existence of something much greater than ourselves.

However it is only our own self, our own heart, and our own free will to choose to walk into the door. The door may be opened and calling for us to come in, but no one or nothing is going to push us through the door - we must consciously choose to go forward by connecting with our hearts and re-connecting with Mother Earth. I think psychedelics can be a useful tool for enlightenment, but it cannot come on it's own. It requires a mind open to reflect on the experience and apply the new knowledge of the subjectivity of reality to understanding others' points of view--which in turn can lead to a sort of understanding about who we all are: ta-da...enlightenment.

but you do need to understand the world/s properly from a sober basis, in order to really benefit from their effects. by sober i just mean whatever your baseline consciousness is when you haven't taken inebriants or foods and have not any outside stimulus, where your head is at in and of itself.

Enlightenment can almost surely be attained through any given experience, as the very nature of enlightenment is the realization that any and all experiences, people, places, things, etc. are contained in any and all others; in the realization that all is absolutely one at the core.
