  • Diane Mahree (Margareth) who was killed in a fiery car wreck in the late 80's has also risen from the dead and appears in the Manos sequel.

  • By watching this film we all get 20 credit hours towards our master's degree in Torgology at The Master University. Go fighting Togos! The Master approves of this!

  • Tom Neyman (The Master) and Jackey Neyman (Debbie) are still alive as far as I know. I have no clue about the others though. The only person I had knowledge of that died was John Reynolds (Torgo).

  • Torgo>Orco

  • Why such the drop off of views from Pt 1 to Pt 2?

Pt 2 is the sole reason to watch!

  • "Manos Historian"- is that a four-year degree?

  • Warren was a fertilizer salesman!? you've gotta be making that up! hilarious

  • @spcmn77 The mm mmaster can kiss my furry goat haunches

  • Does this documentary reveal why they decided to make Torgo a satyr? Was there supposed to be some connection to Greek Mythology?

  • Oh thanks for posting this. Was reading the trivia on IMdb and the background story is so bizarre, I just can't get enough of Manos it would seem, thanks this is really funny to watch!

  • I have an aunt who lives in El Paso, I've been there many times, but I don't think my kinfolk know anything about Manos! Also, I'm kind of arfaid to go to El Paso right now because of the drug wars in nearby Juarez!

  • 1:54

If they can't stay then why did you get their luggage?

  • @Videot01 Cause he want to eat the luggage obviously. He is part goat after all!

  • At 6:20 Rosenblum says "I don't remember how many months afterwards, but he (Torgo) blew his brains out". Reynolds shot himself in the head with a shotgun exactly one month BEFORE THE PREMIER. How do you not remember that? And if you'll remember from the MST3K version, in the first break (parody of the movie), Servo says "you're showing footage from the film and it makes me want to blow my brains out!" Obviously a morbid reference to Reynolds' suicide. Did he do it because of the film? Manos!!!

  • @DonParsley When MST3K aired the episode, very little was known about the film. Therefore I don't think Servo's quote was meant to reference the real life suicide. I think that would be too morbid for MST3K. As for Reynolds, it was said that he had problems that led to his suicide and the film wasn't the reason. There was also rumors that both the wife and the "make out girl" committed suicide because of the film and those claims were found to be untrue.

  • @Scream358 I disagree because later Servo makes another obscure reference to the cast:

    /watch?v=Hvji14ZQdqA&feature=related

@ 7:10 he says "If you'd like to contact Harold P. Warren, look in the yellow pages for the fertilizer corporation of Texas." If they knew Hal Warren was a fertilizer salesman, they surely knew of Reynolds' suicide. Further, I don't trust this Rosenblum guy. Later in this piece, when he says those women fondled his genitals... This guy may be full of crap, you think?

  • @DonParsley I can only speak on what I saw in this short documentary, but I think Rosenblum was pretty legit. He did seem crude at times, but I take most of what he said to be true for the most part. As for MST3K, I remember the fertilzer salesman line. But I think they wouldn't "knowingly" make a joke about a real life suicide. I think they told the joke without thinking about it in relation to the suicide. It probably was just a general comment about the film.

  • @Scream358 Crow also makes a comment in the beginning of the film, "Joel, this is going to turn into a snuff film isn't it?" A hilarious remark, but it goes to my point of there being something abnormal about this film, other than its poor quality. Also, if no-one is aware, MANOS: THE SEARCH FOR VALLEY LODGE is due to start filming early next year, in El Paso, Texas. Can't wait for Mike, Kevin, and Bill to riff that one. MANOS!!!!!!!

  • @DonParsley He clearly meant after filming.

  • supposedly some big name studio is producing an actual sequel to manos.

  • "Crew?! They had a crew!! I do not believe that!"

  • Hey, Bernie isn't the only one alive. Both Debbie and The Master (her real father) are still alive.

  • Now I want Torgo's Pizza

  • i was there wen those kids from Toronto made this

    that chick was fly

big ups to you Bern Dog!!

Im so glad I found this

  • Torgo rules!!!

  • HAHAHAHA!! I don't know about anyone else, but Torgo's theme always makes me bust a gut laughing.

  • Thanks for posting!

  • rip TORGO ... if you could have only lived long enough to bask in your posthumous fame.

    ;_;

  • OMG Bernie freakin' Rosenblum, as I live and breathe! Wow, I was his student when this guy taught photography class for at least two semesters at El Paso Community College in the mid-80's.

... I still love the smell of film developer to this day.

At the time, I had no idea "who he was", until years later I saw the movie on MST3000. I remember seeing the kid in the car making out and thinking, "Damn, he looks familiar... Could it be!?".

    It was.

I wonder if he ever checks this page out.

  • @menudoconpata Wow!

    :O

  • I really have a place in my heart for Manos.

The movie is completely WRONG by all standards, but at the same time it proves that all this standards and so-called classics or good cinema doesnt really mean anything.

The more you push the medium, the better.

Yes this movie is very bad, but ist also very fucking brave.

    I salute you Torgo.

  • I watched this on Mystery Science Theater 3000. this was the worst movie EVER. but their comments made it so hilarious

  • I have to disagree Troll 2 is the worst film ever made (check out the Troll 2 rifftrax, one of the best ones made!)

  • I guess if "Shadow of the Vampire" can claim that Max Schreck didn't exist but was an actual vampire...these guys can make it sound like there's only one person left from this film...

  • sweet mullet

  • Jackey Raye Neyman Jones (the little girl) is alive and on facebook.

  • The Master is such a fucking pederass!

  • Yay I wanted to see this!

  • zach galifinakis to play torgo in a manos: the hands of fate remake

  • seriously, this needs to happen.

  • i second this. totally inspired casting.

  • @illuminatioracle what about the master ?

  • @OrderoftheHammer

    he. . . does not. . . approve

  • OMG!!! I was looking for this, thank god I get to find out the story behind the absolute horror that is: "Manos: The Hands of Fate"!!

It's a pretty interesting story too, can't wait to watch :D

  • When this Docu was made, my Dad (the "Cop") was still alive and well in Fort Worth.

  • wut university do you have to attend to become a manos historian?

  • @MushroomBluex He wrote an article in Mimosa magazine on the film and talked to a number of surviving cast and crew members. Article was titled "The Hand that Time Forgot" and it ran in Mimosa 18, published in May 1996.

  • @MushroomBluex I know, right?

    LOL XD

  • @MushroomBluex It's like getting a PhD in having sex!

    LOL XD

  • @MushroomBluex: Good Old Torgo U! :D

  • gotta love the torgo theme

  • Friends of mine adapted this into a rock opera in Chicago.

  • Oh my god!! Been looking for this for MONTHS! Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Bernie Rosemblum was the only person from the movie they could find for an interview? Jackie Neyman (who played Debbie) iss till alive. I guess she doesn't want to be associated with the film.

  • Jackie was interviewed in a magazine piece about 4 years ago.

  • Imagine how many extremely low budget bad movies like this exist

  • @sugreev2001 Watch Mystery Science Theater 3000....they filled up a decade on schlock worse than this.

  • @MrJohndoakes I'm a MST3k fan,it's the reason I know about this movie in the first place.

  • Diane mahree had a beautifull face.

Its a sad thing that she killed her self

  • She was very pretty.

  • She didn't.

  • I thought she did.

Hmm i think it was the actor Targo

  • what! NOOOOO DIANE

  • does the music remind anybody of ed edd eddy

  • How the fuck do they worship this pile of ass so much? They make the guy who made this sound like a visionary when he made the most monotonous film possible to make.

  • Why? Because it's unique. No other film has ever come close to being as inept and ridiculous as Manos, and for that it deserves praise and recognition.

  • I would say Monsters a-go-go and The Dead Talk Back is worse than this in every way.

  • And Hobgoblins!

  • Oh yeah, those fight scenes were off the hook. But even Manos beat that movie.I guess these cheap schlocky movies were the best from the 60's and 70's.

  • Yeah, at least the ending made sense!!lol!!.

  • The scene when The Master approaches Torgo, saying he must die and has "failed us" is the funniest part of the film.

  • the music hurts my head

  • what about a documentary on francis coleman?

  • Hey, good idea!

  • what was the name of the camera used on manos the guy was talking about? someone please respond!

  • Bell and Howell I think :).

  • Hey, thanks! I collect old cameras, and it would be really cool to own the very same camera used on the worst movie ever made!

  • I think it was a 16mm also, while it recorded for something like 32 seconds at a time!!.

  • 16mm

  • I did not attend the WORLD PREMIERE, but I checked the newspaper listings and went on a Saturday afternoon.... I thought it was going to be a scary movie, and after about ten minutes or so I started to giggle a little.

  • 9:03 = Hysterical.

  • I don't think they had much of a storyline if any

  • Thank you so much for uploading.Ive wanted to watch this for ages. But manos aint the worse film ever A Night To dismember is

  • Even the little girl knew the movie would suck. haha

  • I cannot paste a direct link here but you can read the Hotel Torgo blog at hoteltorgo . blogspot . com

  • Very cool. Glad you were able to track those guys down & revisit the locations with them.

The Plaza Theatre in El Paso is going to feature "Manos" at a film festival in August. From the El Paso Times:

Plaza Theatre officials have released the schedule of films that will be shown at the festival Aug 14 - 24.

Films such as "Blade Runner," "Casablanca," and "Manos: The Hands of Fate" will be shown.

Entertainment Weekly named "Manos: The Hands of Fate" the worst film ever made.

  • Simbared, lol..I'm just a fan, I had nothing to do with this doc, just a fan who uploaded it! :) - Chris

  • Bendernyc: My bad. In any event, thanks for uploading it!

  • Hotel Torgo has a new blog with updates and photos from the making of the film with manos cast member Bernie Rosenblum and related articles and reviews

  • If "Plan 9" was "Citizen Kane", then "Manos" was "2001." Many thaks for this documentary.
