  • @robatsea2009 How long did this last?

  • @gshowguy Not very long - it debuted July 2, 1974 as a summer replacement for "This Is The Law", and ran until October 5 of that same year. Until September it ran Mondays from 9:30-10 pm, and for its last few weeks aired on Saturdays from 6:30-7 pm. Host Hart Pomerantz was a practicing lawyer who had been a comedy writer & performer for several years with partner Lorne Michaels - who famously went on to create and produce "Saturday Night Live"

  • I would LOVE to see the Hart & Lorne Terrific Hour.

  • This is like "You Bet Your Life".

  • Was this a recent rebroadcast on a CBC related cable channel of this 1974 Canadian game show?

  • I'm not sure; it was sent by a friend and there are no commercials to identify the broadcast date

  • @robatsea2009 It has to be-- look at the CBC logo in the bottom right. The one used in 1974 looked slightly different back then.

BTW, great stuff! Wonder what Hart and Warren are doing these days...

  • I smell You Bet Your Life from this.

  • I don't remember this at all. I would have been 10 years old at the time, but it is very CBC for sure.
