There was no divine command from allah to write a book, some reciters like Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud & Ubay Ibn Ka'b made their own quran collection.
Ibn Masud's quran was used at Kufa, Iraq & Ubays's quran in Syria.
These different collections of quran contained many variant readings.
More than 1,700 R attributed to Ibn Masud alone. ("Materials for the history of the text Of the Quran" by A. Jeffry, 1937)

So it was Caliph Uthman who appointed Zaid Ibn Thabit to reconstruct the Quran known as Zaid Codex. The Quran today is based upon Zaid Codex and not other codices already in existence which were burnt. Islam, not non-muslims, was the first to have a quran book burning!

The Bible makes clear that no prophet will come from the descendants of Ishmael but only from Isaac. The Bible does not call Ishmael a prophet of God but "a wild donkey of a man always fighting with his fellow man." This best describes Muslims and Islam. Islam is the donkey man religion for those who love fighting. Islam and Muslims are the source of most violence and killing in the world.

@TheAbahaziz Anyone who studies the Bible will see that Ishmael is never called a prophet of God but "a wild donkey of a man always fighting with his fellow man". There is no prophet among his descendants but only unbelievers who are enemies of God's people the Israelites. This is true even till today that Islam is the enemy of God's people the Jews and Christians. Islam is the wild donkey man religion that fights against all people, especially Jews and Christians

@TheAbahaziz The Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient Bible texts verfiy the authenticity of the modern day Bible. Muhammed also believed the Christians of his time (7th century AD) have the true scriptures from God. There is no evidence the Bible was changed after the time of Mhmd. The message of the Bible in the time of Mhmd is the same as in modern Bibles.
