  • I love this! This lady is an awesome musician and singer

  • So much negativ vote! But i'm just fell in love with this version Oo incredible...

  • It's creative by itself, but if it upsets the purists who hate change or difference - all the better!

  • This is the Ricky Ponting of Waltzing Matildas.

  • Lovely......being a fiddle player myself ,I love the fiddle and singing skills, great choice of song and a very interesting version of a great Australian classic,WTG

  • obviously beyond many with a smaller grasp of life's possiblities and the adventure there in. A masterful interpretation - infact it is folk in the true sense of a living, breathing entity that is music from the Folk reflecting the worlds they find themselves in

  • What the hell is this crap !!!

  • what!!I love this its amazing to be able to play violin while singing and she does it really well !!

  • I love this track - it's exciting for the cultural maturity to radically revise a well known (tired) Australian song, and it grooves! As an Australian it gives me hope of a new future, re-framing the failures we celebrate as the Australian ethos and so re-mythologising.

  • Everyone, she's Australian, they get a free pass to toy around with their own song. Now if she was American, British or something, then I'd be a little bothered.

  • wtf is this?

  • all you haters out there FUCK YOU!!!! at least she knows how to play the Violin!!

  • Hard to endure

  • Wow... that sucks beyond belief!

Advice: DO NOT TRY TO JAZZ FOLK!!! It just doesn't work AT ALL!

  • singing AND violin playing at the same time !!! very nice ! I didnt like the interpretation but very creative nonetheless.

  • I only like this version now. The old version sounds... old!

  • This is wonderful. It is so nice to know that we are living up to our national anthem - we are young and free. It's fantastic to see how this talented young lady has put her perspective on a national classic.

  • Reminds me of Hanger 18

  • Very Beautifull

  • im simon this is just so not like the real song make it like the real song im simon from off the show american idol im on my daouhters youtube sike im playin

  • Sorry if everyone is offended, but this is what an artist does. makes something new and alive, in the moment, she could have used diffent words and you might look at it differently, I think this lady is fantastic.

  • stay true to the song if you're going to attempt to perform it...

  • Painfull

  • You have a good voice and can play well, but in my opinion freestyle renditions of national classics should be avoided.

  • I can hear that she can sing, and see that she can play.

But I don't recognize the song, which is not particularly bad, but I pitty it, though.

  • waaAaAAaaltzingg matildaaAaAAAaAaa with meeEeeEeee wtf is that xD

  • hahaha

  • Incredible. Very haunting and beautiful rendition of one of the world's classics. I can't stop coming back. Wow.

  • bro its just a different variation to the well known version.

  • ARREST HER !!!!!!!!

  • fuck she killed the song!

  • this is shit

  • Way to butcher a beautiful song...

  • What the heck this shit is? I am not Australian, barely can speak English, totally unable to play the violin and the lyrics of Waltzing matilda are all but unknown.

But I am pretty sure that my performance would be miles better than this annoying heap of noise.

  • Jenny you are so brilliant and you bring new truth from the old songs. The fugal aesthetic that you bring to the music is great. Unfortunately too many listeners are not ready to open their ears and feel two lines of musical development at once.

  • This type of rendition is for me very anoying..The voice is great the coordination is fine..But to try to be clever and warp a great song so its not even recognizable is baffleing..Why twist an excellent tune?

  • WOW playing and sining at the same time..... Wish I wish I could play that well....

  • nice voice but wtf was that it was not waltzing matilda

  • Stunning. Stupefying. Wide-open jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The fiddle accompaniment blows me away into happy little shreds. Ask me how I REALLY feel about it, and I might go on at greater length.

What do you call the tune that starts at 4:02? It sounds like some Shetland tune or other...
