@ToadsMGodes Is it ridiculous that i know more about your politics while not even living in the same continent? That is how the senate works. If there is no democrat majority in senate, Obama is unable to pass bills. It is that straight forward.
@tartantulakid666 Oh shut up, you don't know shit..I how the senate works, pull your head out of your ass.. Just make sure you vote for Geert for PM when the time comes.
@ToadsMGodes He'd still be a better PM than michelle bachmann as president and rick perry too ^^. If you know how the senate works, why do you challenge me. it's not like what i am saying is a revelation, it is a part of USA politics. So why are you talking to me like I have no clue what I am saying. I know more about your politics than most American citizens
@tartantulakid666 Lol... You don't what you're talking about, that's why I'm challenging you. I'm just enjoying listening to you make a fool of yourself with your arrogant ignorance.
The senate has been a democrat majority since Obama has been in office.
Not only are you completely wrong, but you think Obama is innocent, and not in any way responsible for the state of the economy. Obama didn't stick to anything he promised the voters, he only made things much worse.
@ToadsMGodes He had a brief period of time where there was a Democrat majority, but that changed at a certain point. When he wanted to pass his medicare, there was a republican majority and also for other bills. No president is ever innocent, and read throughout all of this futile chat. You will not find me saying anything about him being innocent. No president ever is. Americans are not ready to turn into a more socialist regime because they are confused and ignorant
@tartantulakid666 Idiot, it is currently a Democrat majority in the senate and has been for vast majority of his term. You clearly said in your comment above that Obama is not at fault, then you blamed the Republicans and bankers. That clearly implies that he's innocent of any wrong doing.
It's you who's confused and ignorant, that much is obvious.... Btw, I'm guessing that is you in your uploaded spider vids.. Why do you have an American accent??
@ToadsMGodes you are entitled to your own opinion.. but why dont i see ANY republican (i guess you are) comment on top? or why does the whole world laugh at america? I was born in the states and now live in europe (austria, one of the richest and social and intelligent countries in the world) where we learn and see and hear how sad it is to look at america when a republican is in office. you need to learn to get along with each other.. why always fight something that can work in the future?
@BeNeath0 I don't really know why that guy argues so much. I blocked him because his head is up his ass. If I have a top comment with a democratic opinion in a republic video, It shows how retarded most republicans are. They live in closed minds and think that everyone that suffers in poverty are uneducated idiots that didn't go to school because they didn't feel like it. Most republicans think that all people had the same privileges as them growing up.
but seriously, is it really fair to correlate our entire nation's recent failure to one person? i understand that the president is a figurehead, but economic failure is something that was long time coming. there was no way this was an instantaneous decline or anything. isn't it some kind of logical fallacy to take one issue that attribute a single cause to it? SINGLE CHOICE FALLACY
Really great ad! I made up my mind to vote for Gov Perry before any ads... a good solid leader. I don't want someone who debates good but someone who leads good. We already have a talker in the whitehouse now and look where it's got us.
I can't believe that i had to sign in for this, but it was not Obama's fault. it was the republican's fault and the bankers's fault. Obama was already left with a mess after Bush's 8 years and was trying to salvage the blunders of G.W.Bush
@tartantulakid666 Please, Bush lost the house and senate for the majority of his second term. Obama blames Bush for first two years of failures, then loses congress after two years of having a full majority. Now everything that goes wrong, blame congress. Strong logic skills you possess.
@tartantulakid666 OK? Obama has been in office for almost 4 years and has failed majorly! A $340 Billion dollar stimulus plan that failed, the GM/Chrysler BAILOUT of $25 Billion, the unemployment-insurance extensions of $67 Billion,COBRA extensions,cash for clunkers, and loans to automakers for energy-efficiency improvements, obamacare, come on now you cant keep blaming the Bush administration.
@tartantulakid666 Just a simple question for you.. Did Obama fix these problems that Bush left, like he promised?? Did he keep any of his campaign promises?? Please answer, I would like to hear this lol
I don't support Perry, but don't try to make Obama look innocent, he's been one of the worst presidents in US history.
@ToadsMGodes Again another person making me sign in for ignorance. How can Obama pass anything with a Republican majority? Republicans constantly deny bills simply because they come from a democrat. What you fail to understand is the fact that there is no way Obama can fix anything with a Democrat minority, no matter how beneficial it is to the majority of the nation. I answered your question and clearly i am not ignorant if I get the highest rated comment ^^
@TheEradicator13 the deregulation of the banking system is essentially why we had that uncharacteristically bad depression, so it makes sense that the majoirty of people, who aren't in the financial sector, are ticked off. And being poor doesnt necessarily mean your an idiot, the biggest decider on a persons wealth is their location, as emphasised by development theorists.
I counted 15 american flags (not with the repeat of the ones behind him as he gave his speech)...I'm not exactly following politics, but I found this ad still had a sort of empowering energy to it that made me want to like him no matter how much i disagree with him. Even though that doesn't make sense, all in all, I liked it
Actually yes. Because while some choose to fight pollution, the real fight is against human evil in the form of Islamic terrorism and other oppressions. If you were trapped in some God forsaken country like North Korea or Iran, you would expect the American military to rescue you, not some Greenpeace activist. Besides, it's wise not to reorganize the entire world's economy costing trillions of dollars over climate computer models that may or may not play out according to plan.
@bw01a First of all, why does it have to be either saving people in "godforsaken countries" or preventing millions of deaths due to flooding, famine and drought? Secondly, If you were to do any basic research or ask any scientist worth their salt you would realise it's not a worthwhile gamble to say that climate change "might not happen" when the overwhelming evidence says it IS already happening and the negative effects are already apparent.
@donpepperoni Finally, who are you to decide which people need "rescuing"? We did a great job rescuing the Iraqis didn't we... having military might doesn't give you the right to impose your values on people who don't want them.
I wouldn't say that I'm in Rick Perry's boat, but I will say that this ad was very well mad. But about the whole "world's last great hope" thing, I wouldn't say the last (with emphasis) great hope.
@Bumble8700 While I do not agree with the death penalty, the people being executed were people convicted of horrendous crimes. I said convicted, so this means he might not be the one who did it. Our legal system is not perfect. That is the reason why I'm not in favor of the death penalty. Just put them in jail for 40 years. Skip the cost of the death of the convict. What is he going to do at age 60-65 lol. We need a conservative president to stop the hand out generation.
Wait a minute Obummer's party had the House and Senate for the first two years of his presidency and still controls the Senate. He is obviously an incompetent boob who has no ideas except to raise taxes and grow the size of government while draining the private economy. And why do you use the term ultra nationalist? As opposed to what? Is Obummer an ultra internationalist, ultra Europeanist? I'd rather have a president putting American interests first for a change anyway.
@bw01a he's not raising taxes, he's making them more progressive, which basically means giving the poor tax breaks whilst bringing taxes on the rich and corporations up to the same as pretty much everywhere else. As one of the most unequal societies in the world (including poor countries), what America doesn't need is more reaganomics or bush-era tax structures. And i was referring to Perry's American exceptionalism (a little to0 similar to Hitler's, i'll be honest, same language he used)
Yeah so how is that income redistribution going for you in the UK? Is it fair yet? Is it equal yet? If you have ever been to America, you would quickly realize the standard of living for America's "poor" is far better than the middle class in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.The American system of free-enterprise, limited government, and individual responsibility have lifted millions and millions of people out of poverty. Your "progressive" taxes just spread the misery.
@bw01a Check your facts, if we class the "poor" as those living under the UN poverty line, you would see that 15.1% of americans are below that line, while only 8.2% of British people are below it. America is not exceptional, no country is; to believe that just shows a vast amount of ignorance.
People you might consider "poor" in the U.S. probably have bigger houses, more appliances, more computers, more property, and more cars than their counterparts in the UK. Also, "poor" in the United States is often a fluid term, there are many opportunities to escape poverty in America as opposed to most other countries, and people typically don't stay impoverished indefinitely. It's a shame because the tax policies you advocate only keep people dependent on the government teet.
@bw01a You clearly didn't read/understand what i said; you said "the standard of living for America's "poor" is far better than the middle class in the United Kingdom" which is clearly untrue as a greater proportion of Americans are classed as 'in poverty' by the UN, which uses the same criteria for all countries. This is evidence, not semantics.
@bw01a no, that's benefit systems. Progressive tax structures at the end of the day simply give people a better chance to prosper on their own, with more of their disposable income available to spend on things they need and less taken by the government.
Sure America is exceptional. We have done the most with what we have been given, even putting a man on the moon. Our values of Liberty, In God We Trust, and E Pluribus Unum as inscribed on every one of our coins also makes us exceptional. America also stands up and fights human evil, often against popular world opinion (So does the UK, Israel, and several others).Hundreds of millions have been lifted out of poverty by the American experiment. I'd say it's pretty exceptional here.
@bw01a Please stop spouting rhetoric, you sound like a parrot that's been living in a politicians home... Going against world opinion is not something to be proud of, in fact it makes you the 'bad guy' as the majority of people don't want you to act (it's called democracy)
And the reason you say America is so "unequal" compared to poor countries is because there is a great amount of wealth in America, as opposed to virtually none in a place like Cuba. But hey, at least wealth is "equal" in Cuba, right????? Also, if you cannot discuss American exceptionalism with any level of moral seriousness (Hitler? Really?), please don't bother attempting to do so. It makes you look quite dim.
I'm sorry, but a society where the top 0.01% of the population generate 13% of the wealth, something is inherently wrong. Free enterprise is a fantastic way to generate capital, but left to those whose primary motive is profit as opposed to the greater good, the end result is a divided, potentially crippled society. It says something I think that the 'we are the other 99%' movement originated in the US
@bw01a oh, and you should also read the 2005 summer issue of the Boston Review article: The Power and the Glory: Myths of American exceptionalism; although i would not be surprised if you simply described it as the work of liberal pundits (despite some quite scathing remarks regarding 'liberal' presidents).
When a politician higher 2 steps from hell to make his campaign music there has to be some sort of inferiority syndrome. That music can make brushing your teeth epic.
Not to mention all the statistics played in the background were from only 1 month, august. So if I have one bad month must get unelected from anything. Love the logic.
Obama did the same exact thing in 08", presenting himself as some sort of messiah with over dramatic melodramatic speeches with no substance, and most americans bought into the empty rhetoric because there dumbasses, now u see he is nothing but an empty suit with no ideas. So if u didnt have a problem with obama doing stuff like that in 08' u shouldnt have a problem with this ad. Its quite franky pretty impressive, one of the best ad's ive ever seen.
@TheArenExperience think about it though. Im not saying that Bush was perfect, but the debt didnt increase NEARLY as much as is has with 4 years of Obama. How many years was Bush in? O yea now I remember....

I'd rather have a president putting American interests first for a change anyway.
bw01a 4 months ago
@bw01a he's not raising taxes, he's making them more progressive, which basically means giving the poor tax breaks whilst bringing taxes on the rich and corporations up to the same as pretty much everywhere else. As one of the most unequal societies in the world (including poor countries), what America doesn't need is more reaganomics or bush-era tax structures. And i was referring to Perry's American exceptionalism (a little to0 similar to Hitler's, i'll be honest, same language he used)
canisrufus711 4 months ago 2
@canisrufus711
Your "progressive" taxes just spread the misery.
bw01a 4 months ago
@bw01a Check your facts, if we class the "poor" as those living under the UN poverty line, you would see that 15.1% of americans are below that line, while only 8.2% of British people are below it. America is not exceptional, no country is; to believe that just shows a vast amount of ignorance.
donpepperoni 4 months ago
@donpepperoni

This is evidence, not semantics.
donpepperoni 4 months ago
@bw01a no, that's benefit systems. Progressive tax structures at the end of the day simply give people a better chance to prosper on their own, with more of their disposable income available to spend on things they need and less taken by the government.
canisrufus711 4 months ago
@donpepperoni
I'd say it's pretty exceptional here.
bw01a 4 months ago
@bw01a Please stop spouting rhetoric, you sound like a parrot that's been living in a politicians home... Going against world opinion is not something to be proud of, in fact it makes you the 'bad guy' as the majority of people don't want you to act (it's called democracy)
donpepperoni 4 months ago
@canisrufus711
It makes you look quite dim.
bw01a 4 months ago
