  • If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel? Sroll up & down using it, watch on the right side at the womans heads are moving.

  • Bosstun

  • The NY accent sounds the same as our aussie accent?haha

  • She's attempting to sound new yorker. But, where is her original dialect/accent from?

  • Id like to learn Debi Mazar's accent (actress) - i just love listenin to her 'tawk' hehehe.. She has a thick "Nu Yawk" accent, i wonder which part of NY her accent is from. Anyone?

  • no such thing as standard american

  • yeaa its sounds really aussie i thought they emphasis the R's???

  • :U Not all New Yorkers speak like this.

  • Cockney + Aussie + Northen English Accent (I dont know if theres actually a term for that!!!)=New York!!!!! I desperatly need to master this accent for a audition but saying the wierd deer aperaed cheerful doesnt seem to help!!!

  • LOL! Just like English accent but with softer t's and d's. But I think there's an extra detail left, a deformation of some vowels.

  • thts not how people talk where I live...but I don't live in the city...so yaa

  • It doesn't sound new yorker to me. : /

  • Lol what? I'm Scottish and I wanted to learn how to speak with the New York accent, But it came out sounding English?!?!

  • new yooka ?

  • thats like brooklyn italian in like the 1950's

  • this is NOT ny accent! =)

  • this isn't new york, this is new england.

  • This is a boston new England accent, new York is way diffrent and more natural.though I've heard some deep brooklyn accents sort of like this though

  • She's giving you all the accent of a WHITE NYKR say from Queens (listen to her and think of Archie and Edith-hmmm). I live in Maryland and people know off the bat where I'm from when I saw CAW-fee instead of CAH-FEE (coffee) or bawl instead of Bahl (ball), or wall, etc. We have a sort of "drawwwl", but it's cool. I love when people can tell! bur when they imitate me, they sound like either Rocky Balboa or an actor imitating a cab driver by exaggerating the accent. NYKR'S :thumbs up if you agree

  • No no no she sound's like she is putting on a really thick kiwi accent, I'm a kiwi too.

  • You have a fuckin accent from like hick southern states!

  • @polkm67 haha what?

  • 'Standard American'? That's... not right.

  • It does sound very australian

  • get de sweadda frawm da chiiiafull runna!! me soundin new yawkish???

  • uh no one talks like this NO ONE especially New Yorkers

  • I'm not from the east, I'm from So Cal, but this is Boston.

  • this is a REALLY exaggerated Boston accent

  • when u said cheerful u sounded kinda british

  • Awww..listen to all of you so upset because you're not considered "standard american dialect". If I were you I'd be proud of it. These videos are for actors, and as such, we have to play certain characteristics that are entertaining, and thus, exaggerated. She's not making fun of you guys, so chill out.

  • hahaa nahh this aint gunna help you gotta chill wid a bunch of new york teenagers we'll teach you the roots

  • this is hard for me! i can speak like i was from englan tho easy!

  • O_o uhh i live in ny and i never seemd some1 talk like that

  • er...new yorker DONT speak like tht. I am pure new yorker, and lol i dont speak like tht. come on get a life, woman

  • new york or australian?

  • Yeah...uhhh...That's Mass not NY chick...

  • WTF new york peeps dont talk like that

  • That is NOTTTT a new york accent...plus, there are too many places in NY and cultures that influence each dialect. For example long island dialect is different than brooklyn...plus you sound different if you are italian than if you were black or even if you are jewish (although it is not a race or origin)

  • You are doing a Bostonian accent not NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nycgal712 Boston people dont talk like that more like this;

We say come on get in the "car",Bostonians say com-mine get in the "kaah"

We say so you think you're "smarter" than me?Bostonians say so you think you're "smottah" than me? The accents are a little different the further North you go.

  • @Nycgal712 i'm from new york born and raised in brooklyn, and I can't shake off this my new yorker accent mate. if you think we're lying head down to coney island. lol

  • She's messing up the accents and sounds like she's from Boston. I bet she thinks New Yorker's say car like cahh. Lame.

  • @hazeleyedgrl1228 I say cahh,, and swettah, I also say paak, and daww. (door) so what is it with you people trying to morph the old yankee accent. I ain't changing my accent for nobody man. go ahead and try to sound sophisticated with your crappy ''r'' when you're saying it all wrong. the brits never used the ''r'' and they invented english pally. so more in depth. and if you're from new york man you're a disgrace.

  • no one talks like that goodbye

  • @urodophobic I talk like that.. and can't shake it off. :) so nice try outsida.

  • @SuperNumber19 good thing i was born and raised in brooklyn but nice try

  • @urodophobic lol go ahead and try to be sophisticated, no ones stopping ya.but you're NEW YAWKA ACCENT eventually pops out like janet jacksons titties.I ain't shaking my brooklyn accent cause I can't shake it off. but go ahead and feel free to sound like a normal lame. :)

  • @SuperNumber19 LOL will do

  • @urodophobic lol kk mate.

  • oh my God this is hilarious

  • smh yo we dont sounds shit like tht, thats fuckin jersey

  • This lady has issues. She has no clue what in the world she's talking about

  • that dont sound like new yorkers you sound like a dam 3 year old

  • Go walk in traffic lady! lol!

  • im offended that not a nyc accent, thats brooklyn accent not everyone in new york talks like that, so lady you obv you did your research wrong.

  • @bobsmithlikespurple the beasty boys brooklyn

  • Does this woman have a life?

  • YEAH,U SOUND LIKE AUSTRALIAN..

  • the weiad deah appeahed what??? and what does that means?

  • that sounds like how my 4 yr old cousin talks. because she cant pronounce "r". this is kinda funny.

  • People who think this is Boston are wrong too.

haha i'm from Boston and i dont know a lot who sound like "pawk the caw in hawvawd yawd"

This sounds NY-ish. My friend sounds like this. Wicked annoying. haha

  • youre right!im from dorchester myself

  • she dosen't sound australian for shit

  • I know... idk where they got Australian from... obviously they never heard an proper Australian accent

  • Wrong wrong wrong..you sound Australian/Bostonian and are obviously not from NYC.

  • Hmm Is it newyorker or Aussie? thats how we pronounce things here

  • @sugizo88 okay, this is odd - I'm watching these videos because I play a character from Brooklyn in a play, and every time I try to use the accent, it totally turns Aussie!

  • Comment removed

  • lol im southern ya'll dont know how funny tht sound t me

  • hahahah yeahhh i know.

  • I don't know about you guys but I'm from Long Island and I exaggerate my r's except with -er this lady is doing Bostonian and I should know since I have family up there. And if she's going for the city dialect then she's doing the old jewish yenta because my family does not sound like that and they were born and raised there.

  • It's hilarious to hear New Yorkers argue about this... especially since the different areas of New York often sound vastly different. But I do understand your angst... I hate to hear non-Southern people in Hollywood TRY to write or speak our dialect... Kathy Bates and Andie McDowell can do it...not many others...

  • hmm well...some stuff like sweata and letta is true others are over exaggeration...thats mostly only staten islanders or brooklyn accents, im from the bronx...

  • What the hell is wrong with your voice?

  • boston

  • this is degrading...

    this is boston...

    not new york...

  • She didn't get it right. Sounds vaguely New Englandish.

  • lol

  • you sound like Lois from Family Guy

  • that's because she's doing a bad rhode island accent.

  • word

  • AHHHHHHHH, this is how me and all my friends from the bronx talk....hilarious, i love it

  • what about 'T'...?

  • yea definitely boston

  • wateva lady

  • that sounds like an australian accent... im an aussie and thats basically how we talk here! :S

  • This some bullshit. Wat is this? Fucking...get the sweata from the cheehful runna? There ain't no fecking "cheehful" runna's gonna give you they sweata in New York. Less you gonna take it.

  • Funny as hell I'm from New York and i agree wit you

  • haha same. fuck this shit

  • Boston not New York man change the title

  • @fizwidget101 I'm not from boston and this is how I talk.. :/

  • thank you

  • You got it. Adding "R"'s where they don't belong, and dropping them where they do! One unifying element to the New Yawk accents. It's not just NY. I read a London Times op ed written by a man who said his mother was from the English midlands and she would also add "R"'s - as in "warshing" instead of "washing". I'm the most interested in where accents and dialects come from. The origins are clues to the mystery of a people's history. I'm also interested in why we consider some accents 'better'

  • I'm aussie and i think USA people accent is so funny

  • i love usa accent ,even alabama style,i hate british accent, and aussie is ok,not bad,as long as its not too strong

  • That's Boston

  • Sounds more Boston to me.

  • getthefuckadahere

  • the weird deer appeared cheerful ahahahahaha

the only word she sounds half-correct saying is "cheerful". we do say cheehful. but that's pretty much the only correct thing in her like 25 videos

  • the funny thing is i/ve never been in new york and i live in wisconsin, and I've had a brookyln accent since i was born lol

  • Italians speak like this. This is general 'New Yorker' accent wtf.

  • this vdeo isnt how new yorkers speak

  • Wtf, I live 30 min from NYC I say the "R"s. People from Boston dont say "R"s.

  • totally agree, i live near there too

  • i know...nobody tawks like this

and we do drop the R, just not as harshly as she's makin it sound. We soften them a lil bit
