Bah all this corvette talk... Corvette wasn't even competitive in GT2; THEN they petitioned a rules change allowed them to wantonly increase the body size and engine, this moving them into their own class Vs being dominated by porsche, VIPER, M3s etc. Corvette got a custom class for themselves and won bc they had FACTORY support Vs others were privateers. Corvette has accomplished, but it's largely political.

i think not, the vettes run with a weight handicap just so the dbr9 can keep up, as much as i love vipers they always run behind all the other cars, the ferrari marinellos all crashed, and the wheels kept falling off the saleen, therefore corvette is dominant, I am a dodge owner myself btw.

Well if you notice that even when the Corvette pulls away, he still closes the gap again. Also must be a fast Corvette because R-GTs have a lot of horsepower - something like 620.

The vete and lambo race in the same class (GT1) and have very similar performance because of class rules.porsche and Farrari is in same class (GT2) thats y they are slower.These arent normal road cars :)

theres no clutch involved in shifting, cltuch is only used when pitting and when you want the car to keep rolling in first gear...shifting is totally sequential just like champcar or F1...but some of these cars still use normal gearbox...i mean they dont use paddles to shift

They only use the clutch to catch up engine stall (which rarely happens), for standing start and to pit in and out.

You can use the clutch downshifting so its easier on it. They break easy, and adria is hard on transmissions because of the very low speed corners.

The R-GT (and I believe all FIA GT cars) uses a sequential transmission. Meaning the only time he uses a clutch, if at all, is in the pits and on the start.
