hahaha Ronnie had found fame long before the days of Rainbow. Ronnie , and the redcaps , Ronnie , and the prophets , Elf , Elves albums etc . Ritchie called on Ronnie to get the best singer for his super line up he had back then. After Rainbow Black sabbath , and so many DIO albums , world tours every year - Yes Ritchie one of the worlds best guitarists , but to say no Ronnie without Ritchie ..... keep rocking my friend . @rmf09024 HI mate ... Yeh I guess we can say Ritchie projected Ronnie into the limelight of fame , But I still say Ronnie would have got there anyway . When I talk about RJD to others it may seem OTT - to me he was , is , and will forever be the king of rock n roll / Metal. I can appreciate all the brilliant bands , and line ups along the way that have all played a part in giving us some of the best music ever. I would also like to think Ronnie helped Ritchie become as famous as he is .

That would have been great , But i have enjoyed some of the songs done by Ritchie , and Candice . I would like to see Ritchie do some more rock stuff though , but without Cozy , or Ronnie he would have to at least get Gillan on Vocals to raise a Rainbow show . @rmf09024 I think Sabbath might have wanted Dio, but in the band he was in at the time of Rainbow, Sabbath might never heard of Dio. All the members of ELP had been in previous bands, and eventually ran into each other touring and decided to form ELP. Gene Simmons of Kiss helped discover Van Halen, and were considering putting Eddie Van Halen in Kiss. They decided to leave Van Halen the way it was. After that, they found Vinnie Vincent who is more like EVH than Ace Freelely.

Not that classical is a bad genre; I still love it dearly, but prefer now to listen to and play this wondrous music. It still lives, man. In us few. And our children's children will look back on us and say, "thank God my parents didn't screw me up with Rebecca Black"

Besides the greatest line-up, this song is a great epilogue of what our life as metalheads really is... Who could say it better? Dio with his great voice, Ritchie with his solos and imagination, David's furious keyboards, the powerful bass lines by Bob and the contundent sound from Cozy's drums... Everything is a lesson we should learn and teach to others... Long live rock ' roll!!

This is just awesome! im 15 and my dad just gave me his old record collection, so right away i went out and bought a turntable. I found this album not knowing much about it.
