I've never met someone that can sing like Ms. Sarah. If anything, she is one of the best singers in my opinion. There are some people that disagree with that, but that's their opinions. Should I judge someone on their opinion? Eh, depends on what it is. :)
I don´t speak italian, but I do sing many opera in italian, and even if you don´t know what the hell you´re saying, you should try your best to articulate correctly every word you sing, I couldn´t understand a single word she said, all I heard was HOOOOOOO! and WOOOOOOOOO!, just like mgdoom. If she were a student in the conservatory where I study, my teacher would have failed her for her bad articulation, but whatever, she´s not an opera singer after all, she´s just a classical crossover singer.
@IshyIMB017 You don't speak Italian but I do and I understood every word and she enunciates the language beautifully as she does everything else. She is more talented than most opera singers and is classically trained.
@showtuneful You probbably understood every word she spoke because since your obviously a big fan you're already used to her weird pronunciation appart from the fact that you do speak italian, but I speak spanish and when she sang in spanish it was desastrous I didn't even know she was singing in spanish. Also, this is a matter of opinion, but I think that most classically trained singers are way more talented than her example: Anna Netrebko, Diana damrau, Joan Sutherland, Luisa Tetrazzini, etc.

@ValeBouvier You misunderstood me, what I meant with her being a classical crossover singer is that it is not as demanding and as difficult as being a classical singer, but I do recognize that there are some excellent classical crossover singers like Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, etc. and no matter what they are, they're still excellent singers, I just think Sarah Brightman is not one of them.

(Of course, I wouldnt want to sing like her, I would have to be a girl. I rather like being a guy. lol)

However, if this song was not from Cats or any other musical would you still be making the same observation.
