I'll be getting my very first rc heli in 2 days. Is it okay for me to practice on a sand volleyball court? I have no experience whatsoever and ur vids are awesome! thanks
@MikeysRC we have a lot here in my country, the problem is I don't know stuff like blades, kinds, types, brands(I'll find it myself), etc for a beginner.
@sasukefigher24 personly I started on falcon 450 it cost about $300 pricey but it is a 6ch 3d aerobatic and a very nice heli but it is a very good trainer heli and now I can do tons of stunts now awsome.
@MikeysRC Sorry if I'm really slow but is the one your talking about the same size in the vid? And is the one your saying available in Asia like Philippines? Coz I obviously live there.
@sasukefighter24 I don't kow if it's available in your country you need to research that for yourself. First do a google search for "esky comanche" find a retailer that has it ans will ship to your country. THen you will have the exact same one you see me using in this video.
@MileysRC I think that would be very big expensive.. Just give me a type of helicopter (as size as the one in the vid) and brand coz I don't know any BEST brand and BEST type of helicopter for a beginner. For fun. Thanks.
@sasukefighter24 I did tell you the brand re-read my previous responce. It's E-SKY The BEST type IS a large co-axial and it's NOT much more expensive than the one in my video....like $100 ish But if you want to spend only $75 for the smaller less stable E-SKY helicopter then that's your choice. BRAND = E-SKY TYPE = Co-axial Size = the largest most expensive you can afford. DON'T get a helicopter for $60 from the shopping mall, it's only a TOY and not a good RC heli. You have been warned =)
Hey, if I would buy a helicopter, can you give me a size? (BTW I don't have ANY experience in helicopters yet) I wanna big one but I don't think it's proper for a beginner. Help me! I just wanna use it for fun..
@sasukefighter24 Go find the biggest co-axial rc helicopter made by the company E-sky and that will be your best bet. Will be easy to find with a google search.

What im doing with my time is making sure people who arnt sure of what too do with there first flight know what to do properly, somebody might actually take one of these bad ahbbits in this video with like a 600 sized with a nitro engine running carbon fibre blades its a different story then you dont want that skipping about everywere ... it could rele hurt somebody
@RotorHead2652 Ahh I see. So you go around searching Youtube for vids with tons of views like mine looking for "bad habits" as you see them and doing your "civic duty" by warning all of your opinion? And that's a good use of your time? Good for you bro. Have fun with that. Errrrr maaayyyybe you could make your OWN detailed videos teaching people how to fly. Maaayyyybe that would be a better use of your time. And I can guarantee you would be respected more than with your current approach.
@RotorHead2652 I've helped more people learn to fly than you. Next time you swear on my videos I'll ban you. You're a joke. Dang right you're mixed up. Next time do some research and fact checking before you open your pie hole or crumpet hole. Proved you were desperately looking for a way to bash me. @RotorHead2652 It's actually really funny that you said MikeysRC is teaching people to be "wreckless." Nope its nothing to do with one finger has more skill .. its just safer
ive got 16 years experience dude , ive met model flyers of all ages and generations
and i can cofidently say that flyers who first learn the thumb and forfinger have progressed much quicker than thumb flyers much safer and mouch smoother flight
@RotorHead2652 Your Profile says "Im 19 not 20" WOW you were flying RC aircraft when you were 3. Now that is actually impressive if true. I guess you were the first 'Justin Chi" Really I throw my planes by the wing. Which video was that in? Even if I did I don't see the problem with it....or O I guess that's why I'm so unsafe? So we find out that all you came here to do be little someones methods. Pathetic. Huh, interesting you only have 15 subscribers. Not many people care what you do.
lol your thinking way to much into it man its simple its much safer ... have you ever been to the Rc hotel ? i think jo need to have a good stern talk to you about thumb and forfinger ... you wont argue with jo ha
@RotorHead2652 Eh....I guess some people just have more skill with one finger than others do with two LOL. I'm self taught and have taught others to fly as well, I don't need jo.
@MikeysRC no your missing the point its not for grip , you fly fixed wings better with thumbs because they have got to be very small blocky movements providing your aircraft is trimed correctly. but helicopter are tottaly different you need very quick very precise movements that are changing direction constantly this is where the thumb and forefinger comes into play =D you go to any helicopter school and they SHOULD make you fly that way .
@RotorHead2652 No I get the point and I disagree. Having the other finger on there hinders movement in my opinion. To illustrate my point why don't you put all 5 fingers on each stick. Look at how many different angles and movements your brain is having to control now to move the stick and how the different fingers "fight" each other and have to be contorted to all move in the same direction. It's the same principal with only two fingers just not quite as bad as having five.
@RotorHead2652 "...any helicopter school and they SHOULD make you fly that way ." No what they SHOULD do is allow people to do what works best for them and not confine or oppress peoples thoughts into a narrow point of view. Flying fixed wing also requires precise movement that which is harder to do with two chunky fingers on the sticks.
Othing i spotted aswell people learning , you want to fel the stick for the most comfortable position .. flying with your thumbs is possible but , not ideal
allways try to fly with your thumb and forfinger with rotary aircraft . helps for alot quicker more precise moves , thumbs ... wel were do you think the saying Dumb thumbs comes from
@RotorHead2652 Ewww no thanks! I've never heard that saying so I guess it's not that popular or well known. I've tried the cumbersome thumb and forefinger, way more chunky feeling. I've never lost grip on my sticks. I think that's what the almost razor sharp spikes on the top of the sticks are for.
Lol , crumpets and toast are 2 totally different thing , crumpets are like weird ass batter , and toast is just heated bread . but no he just sayin coz its a tad annoying when english people here americans saying words strange its just your accent .. but yeah cyclic is c y clic you say the y
@RotorHead2652 I always laugh a little inside when people take so much time to comment on this. I guess they are overly sensitive to get annoyed by such a frivolous thing and they have "ear OCD" and feel they must vent their frustration. LOL.
@MikeysRC well for starts the blades dont bend if you know what i mean the dont twist and also because of the shaking my blades are always being broken or chipped
@MikeysRC yes theyre on like a hinge but my are not but i just dont understand why its shaking ive checked everything but i will have to buy new blades now lol it wouldnt have anything to do with glueing the body back together if it crackes would it
@MikeysRC hello i'm having a problem with my new exceed Warhawk 300 (police). whenever i increase my throttle to 30 percent it spins 360 and then stops then it did it again .. any info about it?
i smacked my chopper in all the parts against a brick wall. concrete floor and anything in the area and its tootaly ok and still flies but it ran out of battery about 20 feet in the air and its still fine it takes punishment!!!
i cant seem to get my transmitters light to stop flashing, its a gyro system s006g, the instructions say to turn the throttle to the very highest, then to the lowest, which i did, but the light is still blinking, not quite sure what i am doing wrong
wow thats really nice... thanx for that tutorial... now i know how... but i've already crashed my 2 helis.. one is 2 channel, the other is 3 channel.. i should watch this video before buying the unit..
i need help i have a Blade cp pro and wen i plug in battery and a red n green ligh flashes :( i turn on transmitter and try to fly and nope nuthin happens pleasepleaseplase help :(
@MGxHaRDy you must turn on the transmitter first, then turn on your helicopter, if it keeps doing that try to play with your trottle when the light blinks red and green and when playing with your trottle you may see the light turn red solid, when its red solid get the trottle to 0% and you're ready to fly
Good view, Remember, To always use your thumb and index finger on your throttle control and you may choose to use either your thumb or index and thumb around the cyclic control.
This is very important when you get to very powerful helicopters, so its good to start good habits early.
Your training lessons are most useful among most learning tutorials I have seen on youtube. I have ordered Walkera CB 100 and I am going to try those training lessons on my terrace. I shall keep in touch with you to learn more.
ive just purchased a honey v2 and its my first rc helicopter. ive just tried it for the first time and i have it set on mode 2. when i push forward on the right stick the helicopter goes backwards instead of forwards. how do i sort this out please?
O....I see on your profile that it's a fixed pitch....so you need to find the switch that will reverse the servo that controls the "elevator" movement on your swash plate. Look in your transmitter find the ELEV switch and reverse it.
I have an rc heli and i am scared to take it 6 or 7 feet off the ground becuse i dont want to crash it so i generally stay low. I dont know if this affects its preformance though. I also tend to panic if it goes to high which is something i have to work on
hey Mikey i am buying a rc heli what would be good for training cause my uncle use to have and is great condition and i dont wont to wreck it what would be good for a training heli
@MikeysRC Yeah, that's great to get the basics down when it comes to controls (which is the point of using simulators anyway)
...but if you want to learn to fly a heli in a slightly more realistic way when it comes to realworld physics, you should try RealFlight or Aerofly.
They're obviously much more expensive, but also much more accurate when it comes to correcting and over-correcting which will happen in real-life and cause most carshes.
Co-axial has two sets of main rotor blades like the helicopter used in this video. Yes, usually a 6 channel helicopter will be able to fly upside down.
i dont have a lot of money to spend so i was thinking about getting a blu-ray or a esky honeybee cp3 and taking it easy at the start...could you tell me if there any good? i dont have much experence in rc helis...

i need help i have a Blade cp pro and wen i plug in battery and a red n green ligh flashes :( i turn on transmitter and try to fly and nope nuthin happens pleasepleaseplase help :(
MGxHaRDy 1 year ago
@MGxHaRDy you must turn on the transmitter first, then turn on your helicopter, if it keeps doing that try to play with your trottle when the light blinks red and green and when playing with your trottle you may see the light turn red solid, when its red solid get the trottle to 0% and you're ready to fly

its out standing teaching method i like your way of teaching
waseem5420288 1 year ago
Good view, Remember, To always use your thumb and index finger on your throttle control and you may choose to use either your thumb or index and thumb around the cyclic control.
This is very important when you get to very powerful helicopters, so its good to start good habits early.

ive just purchased a honey v2 and its my first rc helicopter. ive just tried it for the first time and i have it set on mode 2. when i push forward on the right stick the helicopter goes backwards instead of forwards. how do i sort this out please?
chenger 1 year ago
A honey what?....Honey Bee or Honey Bee King?
MikeysRC 1 year ago
O....I see on your profile that it's a fixed pitch....so you need to find the switch that will reverse the servo that controls the "elevator" movement on your swash plate. Look in your transmitter find the ELEV switch and reverse it.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
honey bee
chenger 1 year ago
Cool yeah I already figured that out. See above for my reply.
Thanks,
Will

I have an rc heli and i am scared to take it 6 or 7 feet off the ground becuse i dont want to crash it so i generally stay low. I dont know if this affects its preformance though. I also tend to panic if it goes to high which is something i have to work on
blackhawk438 1 year ago
Don't be afraid.
Be leave it or not, crashing from 7 feet is more costly than crashing from 15 feet.
this is because if you over correct at 6 feet you wont have time to cut the throttle, and even if you do it wont stop spinning.
if you crash from higher you have that much more time the correct things and cut the throttle.
Peace
kiteboardzone 1 year ago
@blackhawk438 7 ' is the best height for a coaxial. Extra height is nice but co-axials lack the control authority to recover from steep banks.
Conversely, the big newbie mistake is hovering < 2'. Get above the turbulence in ground effect immediately and you'll find it smoother !

that helicopter is 40-60 bucks at i think shoppers drugmart i saw it in the newspaper this week

hey Mikey i am buying a rc heli what would be good for training cause my uncle use to have and is great condition and i dont wont to wreck it what would be good for a training heli
jamesbound99 1 year ago
The same kind of heli used in this video OR and BIG co-axial. They are both about the same price.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
Hi Mikey,
Is there any simulator software that can work with that transmiter? I could see in the back that the plug says "TRAINING".
Thanks,
Joaoolx
joaoolx 1 year ago
Yes...it's called FMS and it's free. Search for it on the internet.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
@MikeysRC Yeah, that's great to get the basics down when it comes to controls (which is the point of using simulators anyway)
...but if you want to learn to fly a heli in a slightly more realistic way when it comes to realworld physics, you should try RealFlight or Aerofly.
They're obviously much more expensive, but also much more accurate when it comes to correcting and over-correcting which will happen in real-life and cause most carshes.
PHeMoX 1 year ago
True that....it's all about what a person can afford.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
@joaoolx yes there is, you can buy those from shops.

wat does co axial helicopter mean and does 6 channel mean that it flies upside down
sk8doodoo 1 year ago
Co-axial has two sets of main rotor blades like the helicopter used in this video. Yes, usually a 6 channel helicopter will be able to fly upside down.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
its an co-comance isnt it??

i heard helis break a lot....is you heli there a good one to start with? what do you need? is that a 4 channel?
AntoBoesi 1 year ago
Helis do break often when they crash. Yes the one I'm using is a good one to start with, it's a 4 channel co-axial heli.
MikeysRC 1 year ago
i dont have a lot of money to spend so i was thinking about getting a blu-ray or a esky honeybee cp3 and taking it easy at the start...could you tell me if there any good? i dont have much experence in rc helis...
