there all using performance longboards, classic longboards are thicker and wider all about nose riding, the performance longboards are much quicker with turns lighter and as "bold" as classics, i have a pearson arrow performance longboard thing weights less then my friends 6'6 shortboard!!!

Here's a hotdog trick for anyone who likes this stuff. Walk the nose, ride it to the right until the wave fades, reach down and grab the egg rail, and wait for the board to coast to a stop. The nose sinks down under you as you go into a bent-knee crouch. Tilt your ankles, and as the tail fin pops up out of the water, the nose will try to come up at an angle, spinning you around. The board will snap to a stop pointed back out to sea. Drop back onto your knees, and paddle out.

that was cool, Ive been a short boarder for about 15 years recently i bought a mal and im loving it. As a short boarder u tend not to aphreciate longboarding till uve got into it and understand it. Short boarding is easier in a way, when ur surfing a mal radical it feels like your taming a wild beast. I BTW got my 1st barrel on the Mal today, not as easy to negociate bazzas on the Mal compared to the shorty.
