Art Tatum is "Amazing!". A guy banging on the wood of the piano pretending to be in a drum circle and singing shitty pop songs is Fucking Annoying! And the audience doesn't give a fuck about music anyways why don't go to see some circus instead?
Any first year drummer could play this rythym pattern on a box, a practice drum pad,his shoe, or yes even a very beatiful piano such as this.
Don't get me I enjoy this man as a good entertainer,THIS ISN'T ANYTHING BUT A GIMMICK. AND NOT EVEN ORIGINAL I'VE SEEN SIMILAR THINGS IN THE PAST along these lines. It's like a drummer twirling sticks.

Oh and also: why does he need an expensive, complex and huge instrument like a piano to do that??
How do you figure this is not musical? This is incredible that he uses all the different indefinite tones that a piano can make to create a beat. Plus he sings along with it.
In my opinion, it just shows how well rounded of a musician he is. Not only can he play the heck out of some jazz/pop stuff, but he can also interpret musical form into what he just did in this video.

Ik vond het wel gaaf om te zien toen, maar nu zie je ook dat het onder de piano kruipen 0 toegevoegde waarde heeft.
Dat vind ik ook een beetje jammer dan, het zang stuk is wel erg gaaf!
