what the fack only 230hp??? A stock b230ft on a volvo has 160 hp, diff cam, injectors cam gear, underdrive pully, bigger turbo, more psi its fairly easy to pull 230hp out of a redblock, and cheaper then a twin turbod supra engine

230 on the rear wheels yes but the engine has more. the B230FT has 170 on the crankshaft but on the wheels its less...

Haha, if only. The mods you mention are way more expensive than the motor I bought.

Don't forget, it's 230HP at the wheels, the engine alone makes 280HP out of the factory.

But you miss the point, CharadeYouAre, the idea of this project was to do something different and unique. Anybody can mod a redblock to be quick, but how many 1JZ powered 244s have you seen?

This is my car. It weighs 1360kg (about 3000lbs). Mitsubishi EVO IX weighs up to 1400kg, for comparison.

And 171kW is the power at the wheels, in completely standard form. I doubt a 2.3L volvo motor with a turbo could make those numbers in standard form. It is still very powerful, and makes short work of the local 5.7L V8s, so no drawing board for me fonwick.

well my 86 240GL wagon weighs a ton... the only mods ive done are straight pipe after cat, what can i do to get the weight down easily? back seats? all carpeting? different fenders?

not that heavy actually. A late model 240 sedan will weigh in at 2986lbs. curb weight I believe. Everyone seems to think they're super heavy or something, they're really not.
