It's amazing how many good songs the main rhythm of this song has spun off. Pretty Lights remix "Finally Moving" and Rappin 4-Tay's "Playaz Club"...great songs from a single great song.
@ripisthesupremebeing no... this song came out in the 60's while rappin 4 tay's version came out in the 90's.... now if you do the math here.... rappin 4 tay actually used a sample from this song.
thestevo46 and nuttychomp are clearly world class musicians with many hit singles and a world wide following and are top of the class in their own minds. Fooking morons.
I second that Hamhockdoc ! I am a soul fanatic, tamla and reggae ( see : oldwah ) and i think this is a cool number. imagine seeing this in a club. listen to the guitar, that sound is as close to willie Mitchell as you can get,. leave colour out of it. Obamas president now, racism is old hat !
To sxitezza, did you get a chance to put the original on? The covers are all good, but I want to hear the REAL THING from years ago -- I remember it from late nite FM ..... HELP ! ! ! Thanks !
If somebody can let me know how to add my music onto here then I will gladly add so many more of my 1000s of records, up till now I have had to send them to individuals via their emails, (I know how to convert vinyl to mp3)
Agreed! Not bad & Bell can still sing but something missing............ and not just Judy Clay but 'real' soul at its best can only be sung by people of colour(IMO)
the drummer's microphones appear to be enjoying themselves

It sounds pretty damn good to me. Everybody's a critic. Nobody can top the original. But there's nothing wrong with a tribute or a cover.
