  • Typical bought off government talking head.

  • Politicians are vile, they love sending the young and the brave to war to die for them and their ideals, we should love and respect the troops because they have no choose in fighting wars they dont believe in, but you should always hate the politicians that get them killed. they are truly lions being lead by the sheep, even McCain who is a war hero, he should know better the ugliness of war then anyone on that stage and yet continues to put the stamp of approval on this farce

  • I uploaded this video on my old account. It was really a great moment. This section of the debate was meant to be a sit down question and answer with the audience. Up to this point, no one had gotten up to deliver a response, and everyone was talking to Wolf rather than directly to the questioner. McCain all the sudden awkwardly stands up, you can see the "wtf" look on Giuliani's face, and then he delivers this great answer directly to her. And he smacked down Brownback and Biden on the way.

  • You know John McCain isn't such a bad guy but how he handled this election was atrocious. I voted for Obama/Biden and I stand by that vote to this day but McCain just jumped around to much to appease his party. He did things he said after the 2000 election he would NEVER do and then he did them, if he's willing to do that, I can only imagine how he would be President. I respect the man, I had a chance to meet him and have a conversation with him but... SAY IT AIN'T SO JOHN!

  • what an idiot wolf blitzer was

  • mccain's answer to her question: "yeah, and we'll keep on asking your brothers to murder and to die for our lies."

  • Damn good answer meshaqom.

  • as others have said, mccain is not to be trusted. the man was very loyal to Bush the years following 9/11 and here he goes stabbing his pal Bush in the back for his own good. its just business, or should i say just politics. mccain and obama arent any different in that respect.

  • Senator McCain response seems a bit contradicting when he states we have a fine General but also states that this War in Iraq has been very badly mismanaged. And who are you referring to Senator McCain? Could it possibly be your loyal friend President Bush?

  • he says that it was mishandled until we got this fine general who came in with a new stragety and a new way of seeing things

  • To iaotio76: And its being handled so well now with this new strategy as the entire world can see. Thank you for pointing that out to me of my slight oversight. ;)

  • OBAMA '08!

  • ...how can anyone support someone who want's to continue the war for another possible decade?...he talks about sacrifice like it's nothing. He doesn't care about one less person, but only about continuing a so called "righteous war" against terrorism. He had no heart when he responded to this woman. And he has iguana skin....nuff said.

  • Fuck McCain and his soulless answers, he is a Bush clone

  • "Did you hear the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die? When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, 'Where is that marvelous ape?'"

~ John McCain (Tucson Citizen, 10/27/86)

MCCAIN IS A BAD CHOICE FOR WOMEN!

    WOMEN AGAINST MCCAIN

    VOTE OBAMA 08!

  • ClearCrystalBall: woooot! :)

  • The ladies question was very eloquently stated hurrah's for her. My heart goes out to her.

  • Yeah, ditto. George W. Bush could never understand what it is to lose someone close to him.

  • the was was mismanaged and soldiers lost their lives needlessly through mismanagement. We are going to ask for more sacrifices. More men to lay down their lives needlessly for our mismanagement huh uh. Bomb Bomb Bomb Bomb bomb Iran yeh I hear the republicans drum march

  • republicans had their chance to get bin laden, 7 YEARS!

FUCK NO! YOU DO NOT GET MY VOTE FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF TOUGH TALK AND NO ACTION!

  • Tell me now, who will be getting your vote. You want action, so SURELY you wouldn't dare vote democratic.

  • dude3364, what country do you live in? here in the u.s., there are only 2 parties to choose from.

don't tell me, you're writing in ron paul, aren't you?

  • I am a proud American.

What I was saying was that your comment about how Republicans have only tough talk and no action was complete bullshit. You saying Bush did nothing? He went to war to avenge 9/11, and tried to stop another WWII by invading Iraq. Your fucking democrats would have been the ones to sit around and do nothing.

  • dude3364,

your comment is what's wrong with republican mentality. You really think that saddam could have waged another world war?

have you any idea how insanely stupid that sounds?

iraq was perhaps the most powerful nation in the region, with the exception of israel, and we defeated his army in 2 weeks.

that is hardly someone capable of world war 3.

finally, bush didn't finish the war he started in afghanistan with al qaeda. he gave up after a half-ass attempt to get bin laden. HE GAVE UP!

  • When I compared Operation Iraqi Freedom to World War II, I meant only that we went in to prevent a conflict before it could escalate into a full blown world war. In World War II, America waited too long to take part against Hitler, and we ended up getting bombed. This time, we went in before Saddamm had the chance to do any more damage. Their armies were not defeated in two weeks, or we wouldn't be in Iraq right now! Look at yourself, you sound so stupid.

  • dude3364,

Again, you are clearly very ignorant to the facts around you.

You just said, AGAIN "we went in to prevent a conflict before it could escalate into a full blown world war"

Iraq, world war? I don't think so.

You also said "America waited too long to take part against Hitler, and we ended up getting bombed"

When the fuck did America get bombed by Hitler? Never, that's when.

And we are NOT fighting Saddam's armies right now, numb nuts.

Learn a little history before responding again.

  • I guarentee I know more about history than you do. I never said Hitler bombed America. I said we got bombed, but I never said by Hitler. I never said we were still fighting Saddams armies. If we didn't go into Iraq, Sadamm would have conquered the middle east, and be turning his armies toward the rest of the world. Learn how to read before responding again.

  • dude3364,

You may know more history than I did when I was 5 years old, but not now.

    Here's why:

Saddam already tried to conquer the middle east. It was called the Iran-Iraq war. It lasted almost 10 years and ended in stalemate

Again, we defeated this same Iraq army in 2 weeks.

Ever heard of the 6 day war? All the middle eastern powers were defeated in 6 days by Israel alone.

So how exactly would Saddam, or the middle eastern powers, have turned their "armies" toward the rest of the world?

  • World War II was a war we wanted. Did you know we were doing the same things the nazi were doing back in 1920. And, while world war II was going on we illegally detand Japanese Americans in "work camps". And 2 weeks before Pearl Harbor the Australian Government let us know about the Japanese Subs coming towards us. Read something not printed in America and you will see a different side of a lie, it's called truth.

  • dude3364: evil has a hold on your heart!, delusions are part of your reality!, if you change your views? u will look like a fool!. you have lost control of being compassionate!. dont burden your offspring's with your views.

  • Are you still so stupid that you think Bush's war avenges 9/11? Iraq had nothing to do with Al Qaeda. This is old, old news. (Not as old as McCain.)

  • Although i'm not a McCain supporter, i can't deny his sincerity when addressing this woman. The way he responded to her was very compassionate.

  • The way he responded to her was heartless and rehearsed.

  • Hard to question McCain on his sincerity. He was a POW who endured torture for 5+ years. You can tell he really feels sorry for this woman.

  • She is cute

  • She's creepy to me. She looks like she really loves the attention.

  • I'm SO SICK OF THE "sacrifice for your country" argument. They are NOT IN IRAQ fighting for OUR COUNTRY.

    END OF STORY!!!!!

  • then who or what are they fighting for, they're fighting for me, they're fighting for my family, they're fighting for you, don't believe me, about a week ago you made a comment on this video, congratulations, you got to enjoy the liberty that you recieved because they're fighting for you

  • Then why are they not here. I don't know about you but from what I hear it sounds like they want freedom for the Iraqi people nothing about keeping the freedoms here. In fact I believe they passed the patriot act allowing forcible entry into houses to detain supposed "terrorist" without a warrant and to detain them for an unknown amount of time.

  • what does the patriot act have to do with my comment?, and who's they, im sorry, i don't quite understand what your getting at, im not trying to own on you, i would like to respond, if you could just reword that comment so i could understand and then respond

  • then why are our soldiers not here. I don't know about you but from what i hear it sounds like the government wants freedom for the Iraqi people and nothing about keeping our freedoms here. In fact the patriot act takes away freedoms, like due process and freedom of speach. Now I don't think that terrorist shouldn't be hunted down. But the last 14 years we've only been attacked by foreign terrorist twice and domestic terrorist twice, oklahoma and anthax. So we have the same chance either way.

  • the terrorist's shouldn't be hunted down? do you know the serious consequences of that. do you really understand what will happen? the fact that we've been attacked by foreign terrorists twice in the past 14 years is false, we've been attacked about 5 and 6 in the past 15 years. and it was all because terrorists wern't hunted down, they were let free, our soldiers are not here because they fighting for your's and my freedom. and about the patriot act, how many times have you been arrested fromit

  • i would just like to list the terrorists attacks i mentioned above

    1993:WTC

    1995:Saudi Arabia

    1996:Khobar Towers in Saudi arabia

    1998:U.S. embassies in Africa

    2000:USS Cole

    2001:WTC

  • Ok so twice in America. And 4 times in places we shouldn't stick our noses in like the world police.

  • This same guy said he doesn't mind if the war in Iraq went on for 100 or even 10,000 years.

  • God I love that man! McCain has the right ideas and stands behind them.

  • ITS ALL TRUE,I COME CLEAN. You forgot to mention I also eat babies and shot Abraham Lincoln and JFK.

  • This comment, along with all others, proves that people who "support peace" are very belligerent if someone offers an opinion

  • So you don't support peace?

  • I dont have any like for islamic fundementalists, they have attacked innocent people in my capital city, there are no Jewish terrorists doing this. But with regard to Israel there are Zionists who want a full scale invasion against people living in poverty after being evicted from their homes in the 1940s, how you can have anything but sympathy for them I dont know. I want a peaceful 2 state solution that provides peace and security for both sides.

  • I dont know if you remember this but I remember Bush and Blair saying if Saddam complied with inspection HE COULD STAY IN POWER. Now there are no WMD and its all about democracy. Because Bush rushed to war the US (the greatest country in the world) bears 90% of the casualties (25,000 dead or wounded) and 90% of the costs, if you are happy with that as a taxpayer then fair enough but dont whine on about waste when Clinton spends on the poor.

  • ok im getting tired of everyone saying there were no wmd's in iraq so saddam is innocent, did we all forget that not ong after the war started libya came foward and admitting to holding wmds for saddam, maybe they were'nt in iraq but they were somewhere, its not like he was innocent.

  • You need to make your mind up here, am I a communist or a fascist? I cant be both. President Bush parades himself as the commander in chief, thats fine but if he wants to do that he has to take the flack when things go wrong. Its true his approval ratings have rocketed up to 34% but the might of the US with the UK army in Iraq can never be compared to WW2, completely different situation. As most conservatives including O'Reill have conceeded, it is an optional war.

  • Muslims get a harder time than Jews in Britain and America, lets get that straight. There are Zionists that want to invade and occupy Palestine and buldoze more Palestinian homes. THese extremists are just as bad as the Hamas extremeists. There needs to be a two-state solution. Unfortunately Bush calls for one with no intention of withdrawing his massive bias for Israel.

  • LOL. I think you're becoming desusional. Please dont compare the Iraq War to WW2. If President Bush withdraws he will weak and wrong. He is putting his own ego before the Iraqi, the troops and the american people. His figures have climbed to 34%, so 66% of the country are liberals? President Bush is no Churchill, from debathification to 'mission accomplished' as McCain said it was badly mismainaged.

  • Your explanisation about the democratic victory is as contrived as it is deluded. The war is going badly, very badly. Bush's approval ratings are around 30%. The republican candidates distanced themselves from Bush because of this. If they had embraced him and his policies.....they would have lost by more.

  • As far as Im concerned anti-semitism is just another way of attacking a minority that is different from the rest of siciety. And what you do without realising is the same kind of thing as antisemitism, when you go on about 'islamofacists'.

  • I say with shame that there were supporters of the nazis in Britian, some were in high positions of power. But by the same token nazis were marching through Newark, NJ unopposed.

  • Well most conservatives in Britian have the same view but there you go. Check out the congressional elections last years where the republicac candidates treated Bush like the plague. Democrats swept the board, why???

Just so you know, Islamic fundementalists arnt fascists they are idealists. I am not a communist, I believe in capitalism as long as basic living standards are provised by government. I absolutely love the US, best country in the world, optimistic, friendly and beautiful.

  • Britian has always been very welcoming to Jews I dont know where you get 400 years from. President Bush is constantly rediculed for his low intelligence in both your country and mine, why???

  • LMAO. I LOVE IT. I totally concur with you about Mick Jagger. Lets go down the list. Im not antisemetic, I love the United States, I am antichristian (or any religion), Im not a communist. People like you love throwing the labels around because it saves time thinking about the bigger complicated issues.

  • Im not talking about stuttering Im talking about not knowing the leader of Pakistan (war on terror ally) Im talking about FEMAs Brown doing 'a hell of a job' when he did nothing,Im talking aobut calling bombing in a war shock and awe. What the hell is all that about? Another crazy religious guy who thinks gods talking to him yet turns his back of the true meaning of the bible.

Im English and I cant tell you the bitterness British people feel for Bush.Hes messed up everything. Read some books.

  • Thats a good comparrison between Mozart and George W Bush. Mozart composed flawlessly tunelful, instantly recognisable symphonies, Bush can barely string a sentesnse together and kept refering to Africa as a country at the EU.

  • So you have no opposing arguement? Only reply with an insult.

McCain had an opportunity to layout his plan, and he missed that opportunity.

  • I am as desperate for the surge to work as I was for America to stay away from Iraq. I would LOVE to see Iraq as a functioning democracy, I cant see it if Im being honest but id love it.

NOW, President George HW Bush wrote an article after the Gulf War about why he didnt fully invade in 1991. You'll never guess the reasons...........1. No viable replacement to Saddam.2. No roots of democracy.3. sectarian violence. Get the drift? Debate the issue, dont throw labels around.

  • I respect his position but he must be deluded. 4 and a half years later things are worse. The surge wont work. THere is a 1200 year old feud between sunnis and shias, a puppet government wont fix it. They should never have gone in. They cant leave but they cant stay. DISASTER.

  • He spoke well, but did not answer her question. This is called deflection; a typical practice by politicians.

  • An impressive answer by McCain. I think he is wrong but he showed utter conviction and honesty.

  • hooah

  • Fuck Ron Paul, idiot.

  • Ron Paul!!

  • John McCain was a P.O.W. during the Vietnam War. What leader of another country in their right mind, would want to go to war with a former P.O.W. as President of the U.S.?
