I think it is funny that all these types of videos are based on size, expenses etc...and not the most important thing for an army...TRAINING! - if it were based upon how soldiers are trained...UK would be 1, Canada would be 2, USA would be 3. France wouldnt be nowhere on that list...french are pussies and always surrender!
The French are a bit behind the UK in terms of power however they do have a larger armed forces. In terms of technology and capability, the UK is still ahead of them. The Germans should be higher up as well, although their power projection may be limited compared to other nations in this video. All in all, not a bad video.
@SN1P3ROne What power means for you ? we have one CVN, you don't have any AC, we have more nuclear warheads, more tanks and more projection forces. Just look what happened in Libya, you didn't have enought aircraft and ships to maintain a deterrent fleet.
@eikkkN Libya was a joint effort, i'm referring technologically to the armed forces. Navy wise, our government was stupid regarding air craft carriers but we've got 2 more on the way. Nuclear warheads means nothing to me since we have more than enough to deter anyone and they won't be used. Tanks the Challenger 2 is among the best in the world, even the Abrams is starting to use our armour. You do have a very respectable armed forces though, don't get me wrong, i meant no offense.
@eikkkN 2, one will be in service before the other though. It was originally a U.S lead operation then a joint French and British endeavour. Libya's not been a significant operation in my eyes, it doesn't test a Great Power like the French or the British's strength. As i said, i have respect for the French armed forces but my original comment is just my opinion and as you're french and i'm british, we're both going to be biased on the matter. Once again, respect :)

France only has 254 tanks whereas the British Army has 420 (not including light tanks)

The French are a bit behind the UK in terms of power however they do have a larger armed forces. In terms of technology and capability, the UK is still ahead of them. The Germans should be higher up as well, although their power projection may be limited compared to other nations in this video. All in all, not a bad video.

@eikkkN Libya was a joint effort, i'm referring technologically to the armed forces. Navy wise, our government was stupid regarding air craft carriers but we've got 2 more on the way. Nuclear warheads means nothing to me since we have more than enough to deter anyone and they won't be used. Tanks the Challenger 2 is among the best in the world, even the Abrams is starting to use our armour. You do have a very respectable armed forces though, don't get me wrong, i meant no offense.

@eikkkN 2, one will be in service before the other though. It was originally a U.S lead operation then a joint French and British endeavour. Libya's not been a significant operation in my eyes, it doesn't test a Great Power like the French or the British's strength. As i said, i have respect for the French armed forces but my original comment is just my opinion and as you're french and i'm british, we're both going to be biased on the matter.
