No, they're just a band. Classifying an entire band under one genre alone is just plain foolish. Getting everyone to agree that just one song is a rock song is hard enough.

Have another look at the wikipedia article. Indie rock, alternative rock, power pop and hard rock are the genres listed. "J-rock" isn't there at all, in fact. Neither is "J-pop".

If I had to categorize them, I'd say pop and rock myself. In the first place, they're a rock band and in the second, they're also popular and (judging by the animes they've been featured in) geared toward teens (therefore qualifying them as a pop group).
