Quality sounding gear is essential in composing great music. I've had cheap gear and expensive gear. A I've learned that no matter what sound you compose on cheap gear it does not compare. You spend more hours trying to get great sound out of it. Likewise, it takes skill and good equipment to producer top notch sound. The difference is that you don't have concentrate on trying to get good sound instead you can spend time on making great music. Inexpensive gear is not the same.

this may sound like a stupid question but what do u need to start straight away jus the miko/neko n sum monitors,do u not need any external amps or mixers.....ive been savin money for a minit n jus wanna make the right choice
@seekknoledge - I wouldn't go over the top with the program / device you use! Any software or hardware will do the trick just need to learn it inside out you'll have good results... If you have some money saved up spend it on a decent working space / acoustic treatment then some decent monitors... Whatever is left over spend on the program/hardware and learn it inside out!
@seekknoledge No, I never get any crackles or pops using FL Studio. Only crisp clear sound. It may be the audio driver you are using. I use asio4all. Works great with FL Studio.
yo producers out there i need some help, i recently got myself a toshiba laptop and,
when i use my krk rp6 studio monitors i can hear a crackling noise when i play audio, also, my akai mpk shows as 'unspecified', i need to know how to correct these problems so a reply would be amazing, thanks.
could be your laptop not beeing able to play audio like that try going in your settings and see what the sample rate is at and try changing it making it lower
Man i got have me a Neko XXL or LX5, i want the Neko XXL cause its best looking one. Plus i will have me a 32 in. LCD flat screen tv too! Nice music man. I want it to go with my Roland MV-8800 production studio
hey bro i want the lxd and i want to get rid off my mv8800 coz i can do everything in reaper and also u can humanize ur beats in reaper and mv cant can only quantize and shuffle in real time and reaper also do that in real time so wats the point of keeepin mv im gettin rid of plus workflow will be quick as well
I don't remember exactly now. I think I was referring to selecting the multiple out feature in FL and then sending each GURU drum sound to it's own FL channel.
@MakeItFunkyProds at 4:20 that tune is from an '80s song..like depeche mode or tears for fears or something i cant put my finger on it. you have my dream studio...what keys were you pressing for that sylenth sound? sounds amazing
love the videos man. I will always use FL studio. That's how I made all of my beats. Would love to collab on something with you since our files will work together haha. I'm looking to buy a Neko did you get yours off of their website?
u got down on that remixx! nice work i have the miko lxd and gonna put fl studio xxl,if u dont mind me askin how did u get your drum pads and keybord to work with the F L?
Thanks bro. Ummm, I just installed FL Studio, pulled up some drums (GURU) and started hitting the pads. For the keys, I just pulled up a vsti and then started pressing the keys. I didn't have to do anything special to make this work.
Yes. The NeKo LX5 is very easy to use. If you know how to record on a pc, then you can record on a NeKo. A NeKo is just a super duper pc with a whole lot of other stuff added to it.
I joined a remix contest that John was having on a website. Then I was able to download John's individual tracks, music tracks and vocal tracks. They told me what the tempo of the song was.
Interesting video, thanks Vince. I love this John Legend song now - I'd never heard it before seeing your videos. Good luck in the competition, hope you win.
Where can i download this song i love it
