  • @NathanCCooper 9/11 was an inside job,,how do u think hitler did what he did,,he burnt down his own buidling and blamed the communits,,this isnt the first time they do this..

  • I can't help but stare at the faces of these American soldiers. Young men, literally all the way across the pacific in vietnam fighting for NO REASON! Man its sad to see these brave men die and others suffer. MAY ALL THESE BRAVE MEN FOUGHT IN VIETNAM RIP.

  • @albert19ful I cant help but notice; the 'invincible' US forces... lost?

  • And i can't understand why Amerrican people always take a war in all of this wall

  • know your history, and THEN comment. Thanks........

  • i can't believe they used napalm- a flammable roof tar/asphault like substance that sticks, hardens and burns everything it falls on-especially skin. also Agent Orange, other similar defoliating chemicals usually dropped by plane or helicopter which caused cancer and birth defects. that's a s bad as the flamethrowers used iin WWII or gas in WWI.

  • without proper Medic training at Fort Sam Houston, TX and get prompt medical care by IVs, blood,/plasma, medicine to those critically wounded in the field at an aid station then a hospital via Medivac "dust-off" helicopters, jeeps or ambulances the death toll would have been easily double what it was. Much like M*A*S*H but better. It usually life-saving surgery/limb amputations. They knew about the critical hour between life and death, shock, etc.

  • @KoolJayJ so you want us to try and stop our government one thing it will be practically IMPOSSIBLE and your right we don't give a shit because we can't give a shit

  • @KoolJayJ dude that's In the frikin past ok get over it and as my best friend says sorry shit happens history happens and it was viatnames's falt they technecly started it ok just get over it shit happens it's history

  • @KoolJayJ Punk faggot bitch! America, FUCK YEAH! Whiny bitch, just because we beat your ass, tea-bagged your mommy, make your daddy manufacture gay sex toys in a Hong Kong factory for pennies a day is no reason to hate, PUSSY! Come invade, punk! Get gunned down, too!

  • @methistopholes FUCK THE VC UNEDUCATED DOGS OF A SHITHOLE COUNTRY ,THE USMC USAF US ARMY US BOYS ARE BEST ,NOW GET BACK TO YOUR SHIT HOLES IN THE GROUND .

  • "Operation Vietnamese Freedom"

  • @NathanCCooper It leaves such a sickening feeling in my stomach; i think i will go smoke a fag.

  • if karma is true, america is long overdue for one

i hope i get to see that peice of shit country invaded by a foreign force, have millions of there people killed, there cities bombed to pieces, there women used as whores, all sorts of chemicals being dumped into there lands

  • @KoolJayJ

you are clearly an idiot, you want to punish milions of regular civilians, have all the innocent american wives raped and all sort of horrible shit to happen to normal people who ain't got shit to do with the politics in the USA? that must be the dumbest shit I've ever heard! not everyone in the US can be held accountable for what the government does and which countries it decides to invade.

  • @chriskungfu a life for a life thats what i believe in

USA's meddling in other peopels affairs for there own agendas has cost the lives of 3 million vietnamese alone, all sorts of horrible things happen to them such as agent orange (go look up the victims) KOrea, Cambodia, they are the direct reason for the khmer rouge of happening in the first place. Iraq, afghanistan........ did americans care about the innocent civilian deaths from those wars?? NO

  • @chriskungfu so whose the idiot really......... we just suppost to forgive and forget while you bloody yanks continue to do what you do best?? divide and conquer, strategic positioning of your army all around the world, the containment and imperialistic rule of the mighty USA?? Did you care about the hundreds of thousand nuclear deaths in hiroshima and nagasaki?? Innocents who had nothing to do with the war used as lab experiments for a new powerful weapon??? Assholes

  • @KoolJayJ dude seriously wtf, did you even read what I said? first of all I'm not an american, secondly I never tried to justify all the bs the US governemnt did. but you want to punish the common crowd for shit they ain't got nothing to do with. do you really think every single US citizen was in favour of those wars? hell no! and if you want to state that it's an eye for an eye, than you're at least as evil as the US government. cuz what you're sayin now is just narrow minded and pathetic.

  • @chriskungfu and you don't ger what i said, you think the US or its citizens gave a shit about all the common innocence they've killed? I doubt the US public cared too much considering they didn't do anything. They'd be marching to washington and inciting riots to stop what there government was doing but no they didn't. The only time they did was when they start seeing there own people being rolled in in body bags.

You will never learn until you suffer the same fate

  • the sfx are pree shitty

  • the saddest part of this war was when the people the army was dieng for started to turn on them

  • R.I.P to everyone who died.

  • @ih8faggots1000 Firstly you didnt win.Secondly if it wasnt for those "liberal faggots " your country would have been run into the ground with the debt of a war you shouldnt have been in in the first place

  • Actually yes we did win. When the North Vietnamese launched the Tet Offensive in 1968, they had 85,000 soldiers ready including the VC. They may of surprised us at Saigon, Hue, and Khe Sanh but they had forgot about one thing: American air support and firepower. An example of this magnificent firepower was used at Khe Sanh. 20,000 NVA and VC were standing by to overrun the small base but due to airstrikes and American combat power, 15,000 NVA perished. The other 5,000 withdrew from the area.

  • In addition to Khe Sanh, the Americans pushed back the NVA and VC with overwhelming firepower. At the end of the Tet Offensive, 69% of the North Vietnamese effective fighting force was killed, wounded or missing. They could not recoup from such a dramatic loss and could no longer become a threat to the American military. So in fact, America virtually won the war on the battlefield. But with the bullshit from the media and TV crews, they lost politically.

  • And also, the North Vietnamese may not have won on the battlefield but they won a psychological victory: by the images shown by the US media of the war. If they were going to get the Americans out, they would have to use fear as a weapon. So, yes, the enemy was defeated and we won...but then lost it because of the war at home.

  • @ih8faggots1000 Explain to me how they were winning

  • @ih8faggots1000 america were not winning

  • I just hate when people get mad at American soldiers for what they did to the villagers. Yes we did do bad things but people have to understand what they were going through over there. God bless America and it brave soldiers!!!!!

  • @MrNicktheboss2342 Mai Lai massacare. I don't think that is american.

  • @iiRyaaaanXD fuck you

  • ya know i just love the victim mentality these americans and many others have when it comes to vietnam war or the korean war. You invaded there country, murdered, burned, raped there people and land to the ground. You commited countless unspeakable atrocities which lingered long after the war, agent orange anyone? ANd no one was ever convicted *cough* my lai massacre. Those pictures of kids being blown apart and a US soldier holding the body up with his m16 are only the tip of the iceberg

  • @KoolJayJ Do you think the military itself or the soldiers ordered themselves into Vietnam? It was the political leadership at the time under Johnson who decided we should go in. Also, I love how you paint "My Lai" as something that all American soldiers did.

How about you look up the Battle of Hue and the innocent civilians killed by the Viet Cong and you'll see that shit was even more prevalent on the other side of the firing line.

    Ignorant fucking kid.

  • @skankuser other races have always fought with each other, the white race especially the american nationalities warred with and fucked over every other race known to man

quit using your little excuses to justify what you did and what you are keep doing, i know how you little shits think of us, we're just yellow gooks to you huh? FUCK YOU!!! Eat a bag of shit!!!

Fuck of AmeriCAN!! this is what you always do, you invade a country under the guise of democracy and freedom....... *sigh*

  • @KoolJayJ Again, you speak in generalities, and paint all of us as the same. I can't help you, and I can only hope you learn the difference one day. All I can ask is that you look at the historical evidence, and not use today's judgments on past conflicts, because it was a different time.

    Carry on in peace.

  • @BrowserDoggie You spend way too much time watching conspiracy theory shows.

  • BrowserDoggie is a fag. Last time common sense checked in, it noticed the Communist North invaded the Democratic South. And people think the North are the heros. What a pathetic generation I'm in.

  • @SauceJohnsson The South's system was far from Democratic, but out political theories regarding Communism at the the time were false. Out fears of domino theory and the belief that the Soviet Union and China were looking to gain out the war were the reasons we entered, not because we were trying to defend Diem and his "democracy." God damn, we were the ones who ordered his coup to kill him.

  • @BrowserDoggie That is the most retard comment I've seen on youtube in 3 months.

  • @BrowserDoggie i agree but i think the russian in afghanistan were far worst but they are always thought of as the baddies so no one is surprised unlike people are surprised when they find out the americans do bad things

  • @lumpyfishful Who is "surprised" when they find out Americans also do bad things? Open your eyes. Talking about the bad things Americans do is the flavor of the day and people talk about it every chance they get. Where's the "surprise" in that? I assume your exaggeration was added for dramatic effect,

  • its not nice to call them gook. :\

  • 6:20 prob Special Forces, no patches, insignia nothing.

  • damn hippies

  • @SirHungryHippo I wasn't attacking terrorists, I was attacking America for their semi-Nazi ideology. Sorry if I misled you.

  • @BobyChanMan We were attacking Vietnam for thier Communist Stalin type ideology. So what. Anyone can make an excuse. And you know what they say about those. if you were in the Middle East you would know what we are here for,

But it doesnt matter what you think of me. It only matters what I think,

  • @democratichypocrit Everyone has their own ideology, though, don't they. It seems people attack others for anything, even what they think. I don't mean that we invaded the middle east for what they think, you know, 911. But still, you get what I mean.

  • @SirHungryHippo Actually I would love terrorists in the city, finally something to worry about. And, I'm not expecting the next war to be glorious, who the hell expects war to be glorious. I think the next 'real war' will NOT be a bunch of dumb idiots sitting in a mud house until something happens. And what do you mean 'I' can't beat them. I hope America looses against them. It will teach them a lesson. I'm not some American asshole who hates Muslims. If that's how you took it I'm sorry.

  • vietnam, where humanity won over imperialism

  • I really loved this series. They used to play a compilation of documentaries from Vietnam almost every late friday or saturday night on a station in central Michigan during the mid-90s. This was one of the best ones; this episode as well. Fucked up shit; RIP.

  • I'm sick of all the shit these days, I'm preparing for another REAL war. Fighting terrorists in a desert, fighting peasants in a jungle, what a joke. Those wars are really messed up, for both sides. Most people think of the next big war as nuclear, but no ones that crazy. That will just end up bad for everyone. I'm no war monger, but I'm no pacifist either. I'm just waiting for the idiots in their comfy chairs to wake up a give a shit, you know. If you agree, don't like this, just repost it.

  • @BobyChanMan your just sick of terrorists because you cant BEAT them lolz....

for real though, the next "real" war will be nothing like you've ever imagined. its not gonna be glorious like ww2, if thats what your expecting. Assymetrical warfare is the future, with violent organizaitons like al quaeda attacking civilian targets far behind the "front-lines".

If you dont like terrosists in the desert, then maybe youll like 'em better in your city lol

  • @USACantWinaWar yeah i agree..also it gives them a sense of pride and supremacy ....instead of solving the matters they make the situation worse...

  • Comment removed

  • @USACantWinaWar Shut up because you spound really fucking ignorant. You werent in the war anyway so what the fuck do you know about fighting in one?

  • My Dad spent a year on Hill 881N in Khe Sahn

  • @USACantWinaWar Na your sub human lol. Ha this is fun. Talking to some guy in the internet for no apparent reason. Well im done hear good day sir.

  • @USACantWinaWar Ha Ha, umad bro?

  • @USACantWinaWar Troll...................much?

  • It feels odd to click 'like' to this video...

  • Why is everyone talking about 9/11, this is the Vietnam war nothing to do with terrorists.

  • @chilleverest Are you saying the government did it? There's solid proof Al Qaeda was responsible. I'd say your the fool.

  • i cant believe there are fools here who still think 9 11 was alquidas job..... !

  • The USA bombs other countries and we're not the terrorists bull fucking shit! That's y they got 911, and trust me that ain't nothing to what's coming

  • @julioabruno2254 real shit bro!!!! i agree!!!! karma is a bitch!!

  • @julioabruno2254 the usa bombs terrorists in countries...what a god awful crime

  • They died for nothing - as they always die for nothing in all the wars !

  • I have a question about the troop wearing the tiger stripe at about 6:00 in the video. I noticed the majority of the troops wore a more solid color. Do the tiger stripes mean he is special forces? Just wondering. Would be helpful if somebody could provide me some info. Thanks.

  • @Valles923 Yep. The uniform was commonly worn by Special Forces, among other special operations groups.

  • @Valles923 Tiger stripes were worn by South Vietnam armed forces such as Republic of Vietnam Marines, Vietnam Rangers, and their Special Forces. USMAAG advisors picked it up soon other units adapted it. It was never an official Us issues item. Spec Ops, like the Green Berets, LRRP’s and Seals LRRP’s. Other Forces thru out the world today also used Tiger stripes Camo. Semper Fi.

  • thats the thing that kills me man north vietnam were technically terrorists bombings and guerilla tactics and we negotiated with them so much for not negotiating with terrorists wonder how long until we negotiate with the taliban or who ever weere killing over there because history has a weird way of repeating itself

  • let me ask the americans here:

why are you so proud of this war? why did you fight?

did you fight for the vietnamese people? dont make me laugh

no offense, but this war was just cold war politics....and america just happened to underestimate vietnam. Look at vietnam now, they are cmmunist, self-standing, and a proud nation. Thank god they had competent generals who overcame the greedy USA.

  • @SirHungryHippo

Yes, it's tragic. All you can do is honor the troops.

  • @Hippo, Fuck you ANIC ! Do we need another comment for a 19year old snot nose seal clubbing canook?EH? Just to let you know cream puff ,WE won every battle we fought. Kill ratio was 10-1.

  • @mediaphotographer LOL, you are fucking retarded as shit

what the fuck did those battles do for you? jack shit

you ended up losing the war and evacuating with tails between you legs, like a whipped dog

you thought you could beat vietnam cuz they small and weak, but you got your fucking ass kicked, just like china and france.

Dont be mad that those tiny jungle viets kicked your grandpas ass, despite US air superiority and better funding

  • @SirHungryHippo Well dip shit I survived to come home and start a family, and live the best life that I can. Its rats ass dumb fuck armchair quarterback like you whom have never been in the service or could not pass the physical, saying that that "we ran like a whipped dog” . Again numb nuts ,We won every battle we were in,Truth suck for idiots like you. Keep clubbing seals moron.

  • @mediaphotographer

bro, dont fucking shit about winning battles

winning battles didnt mean anything at all, it was part of vietnams strategy

you obviously havent been living life the best you can. if all you can do is insult me cuz im canadian

  • @SirHungryHippo You're the lam ass that commented "We got our asses kicked” I would rather rely on my own factual historical events because, I was there. Not from a 19 year old snot nose moron who does not jack shit about history, especially American Military History. Go away little school boy and play with yourself and your bong, Have a nice day, idiot.

  • @mediaphotographer buddy, america DID get their asses kicked

you accomplished NONE of your objectives, thousands of people died, your country got split by an anti-war movement, and the war cost your country tonnes of money....all for nothing.

dont be mad that the tiny viets were able to humble the strongest nation

  • Hippobrain, Listen stupid I was at Hue in '68. Attached to the 5th Marines. We were outnumber, out gunned,we were offensive, the ARVN were defensive within the14’ walled fortress "The Citadel".We took back that city one block, one house, one room at a time.We took control over the city, Raised the American Flag. Our loses were steep some were above 50% for the Marine units. We lost 147 killed, 857 seriously wounded, not counting the guys wounded who continued to fight. Arvn were dead 5,113.Fuck You!

  • @mediaphotographer are u retarded -_-

you wasted human lives to take that fucking fort, but what for?

thats right, you did it for nothing at all....the viets kicked your ass because they denied you decisive engagements, because they knew yanks spent trillions to have a big army,

despite all you rmoney though, you lacked the strategy necessary to destory the backbone of an elusive and patient enemy....which is why you withdrew from vietnam, and it is why you will withdraw from iraq+afganistan

  • Actually 69% of the NVA and VC were killed or wounded or missing after the Tet Offensive. That's over half of their effective fighting force. They could not recoup the losses they suffered and no longer became a major threat. America virtually won the war and defeated the "enemy". However with the images from the media and TV crews, fear was struck into the general public giving the North Vietnamese a psychological, morale declining victory. Do your research first bitch.

  • @fokshill thats the fucking problem with you americans...

you think that killing lots of people equals victory, but it obviously doesnt

you've destroyed the "enemy armies" in afganistan, iraq, and vietnam, but what good has that done for you?

after the tet offensive, america ABANDONED VIETNAM...THEY LEFT, THE RETREATED, THEY LOST

the commies overran the land after the yanks left like a whipped dog.

Kill-death ratios dont mean shit. Stop playing stupid cod games and learn how politics work, BITCH

  • LOL did you even look at the rest of my comments? It does equal victory. Its military doctrine. I know how politics work. Dont even give me that "go play call of duty" bullshit. If you actually read a book you can see that the United States won EVERY battle against the North Vietnamese. They were eradicated and got their asses handed to them fighting. But if you had read the rest of my comments you'd know why the communist won the entire war. See that's your problem. You're illiterate.

  • Plus, If you had read all my other comments you would've seen how I was trying to explain how America LOST the war due to politics. But you're an illiterate tea drinking, gap toothed Brit. This is the fucking problem with you crumpet eaters across the pond...you aren't top shit any more. Stop going around thinking the world owes you something. Its embarassing.

  • Its also pathetic when you fucking Brits ask for help from America and we give it to you and then you bitch about how bad of a country we are and how we suck and all this other shit you pull out from your un-brushed, tea drinking, yellow, gapped teeth. And if we don't give any help at all its considered "inhumane"? What the fuck is that shit? Where did you even learn to read? Why don't you learn to read first before you tell me to go play cod games and learn politics, youre a dumb mothafucka man

  • @fokshill you should go look up "general giap"

he led viet forces in wars against france, china, and america...all of whom were vastly more powerful than tiny vietnam

in a recent interview, he described his stategy for the tet offensive...

he said he knew that many of his men would perish, but in exchange, many americans would die as well.

up to that point, most americans didnt think much of the war, as very few men died

that changed when the civilians began seeing their slain rolling back home

  • @SirHungryHippo 1st off: Thank you for not being hostile in that comment. Im just trying to tell the truth to everyone.

And 2nd: Yeah ill take a look at it.

  • @SirHungryHippo we tried to help the south vietnamese keep their own lives from the communist north vietnamese idiots like you cry when the americans dont help and then you cry when we do ya dont appreciate nothing you fucking ungrateful p.o.s.

  • @MrCoyote261 im acting ungrateful because america doesnt give a fucking shit about human lives...and yet dumbasses like you try so hard to believe that america is doing good. its not.

america's been killing innocent people without opposition for about 40 years.

you can argue all you want, but just know this:

america's dominance in the world is almost over

  • @mediaphotographer respect to you sir. these dumbasses are extremely disrespectful and have no right to even speak to someone who went through what you did. theyd prolly cower in the dirt trying to find their balls. you gained honor for taking the bullshit the vietnam war offered. these fucks who talk shit, they have no honor, they have no courage, and they have no idea..

  • @TakeyoLifebitch Thank you sir, for you honest observation and kind words. It's easy to armchair a battle or a war. A lot of us carried that water for 42 years, same kind that gave us shit when we arrived home state side. It’s different now, We really have the best trained, the smartest, high motivated Volunteer fighting force on earth. I forgive but, do not forget. The beauty of America is, its freedom of speech. Semper Fi. Brother.

  • @mediaphotographer no problem man. i understand ina way the weight you carry. my fathers father died there, and iv heard many stories from friendswho saw hell. the men fought bravely for the low supplies and morale you got..the marines, hands down, won that war. it was those assholes back in the staes who degraded your guy's name who lost..i plan to join the marines and carry out family tradition hooah. ill always give a second to honor the men of that war, especially your squad. retreat hell

  • @TakeyoLifebitch Their was a lot of “Uncommon Valor” with the 5th at Hue City. Amazing, guys get shot and refused to leave they stayed and fought. God Bless those guys. You are what this country needs, solid patriotic foused Aviatoryoung men woman. My to kids are Marine Aviators stationed at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. My prayers are with them an and future Marines as your self. Semper Fi HooooooRaaaaah.

  • @SirHungryHippo buddy i read your reply to what i said dont be blaming the american citizens for what the american government is doing big difference and dont begin to think i am going to sit and let you run me or my country down because of some shit you think your opinion is just that your opinion but when you start to use your opinion as a basis to jab and insult expect to get it back you werent there so you really do not know the truth you only know what the media has let you know

  • To the veterans of Vietnam: this country owes you an apology I'm only 17 and I can't imagine the horror you went through to be protested and called a baby killer was wrong of the u.s. They didn't know what you went through semper fi marines oorah

  • @paintballer4life105 Never Forget the ones that sacrificed all, For them, We thank you, Semper Fi.

  • such an utterly pointless war

  • Are those B-52s flying above dropping bombs?

  • 4:34 that's operation rolling thunder right?

  • Alice in chains´s Rooster is playing in my head!

  • @N7Crazy Don't forget it. ;)

  • @iCrytex

War is never pointless. All we were trying to do in Vietnam, just like in Iraq and Afghanistan, is make it so that the people living there can choose their own lives instead of having their lives chosen for them. Besides, you're saying

it like those men were forced to fight and leave home. I understand many were drafted and were sent to Vietnam, but when you join the Army you accept the fact that you may be killed and that you will have to kill other human beings. I'm not saying

  • @TwistyPuzzler43 Two glaring problems w/what you've said. 1:Fighting for freedom and their right of self-determination was exactly what the VietNamese were doing. The US got involved because France, after WW2,wanted to re-establish their colonial rule over VN,and PresTruman chose to help France. 2:You can't say"many were drafted"and"when you join you accept"in the same sentence. In the 1960s you had 3 choices:get drafted and sent to VN;go to jail;go to Canada. Not much of a choice.

  • @4y6857b Wrong,There were many ways to not serve, 2-S Student,3-A Extreme Hardship,4-F,Unqualified,Religious,Deferments,Shoot your Big ToeOff, Run Like a chicken shit. Examples of those are follows:Kareen Abdul Jabbar,Muhammad Ali,John Ashcroft, Don Black,Bill Clinton,Dick Cheney,Al Franken,Newt Gringrich,Al Gore, who later joined,Arlo Guthrie,Brit Hume,Dennis Kucinich,JOe Liberman,Rush Limbaugh,chirs Mathews,Joe Namath,Ted Nugent,Bill Oreilly,P.J.

    O Rourke,Mit Romney,Sly Stone,Steve Tyler etc.

  • @mediaphotographer Ouch! Touched a nerve there, didn't I? You'll get no argument from me re the numerous ways there were to avoid the draft. My personal favorite: Take several aspirin and drink a large coke an hour or so before your pre-induction physical. Theory was that your BP would shoot so high they'd send you home w/a medical deferment. Once the examiners got wise to it they'd send you to isolation for a few hours for the effects to wear off and take your BP again.

  • @4y6857b Well I took your place in line.I went!

  • @mediaphotographer No one took my place in line! USAF,Thailand,1973. Servicing B52s and KC135s. I am a VietNam Era vet, tho', not a VietNam vet. I lay no claim to that label. Those, like you, who served in country are the ones who earned that title.

  • @4y6857b peace with you. I salute you REMF’s for keeping us going in the bush.Semper Fi.

  • @mediaphotographer ...and peace to you, as well. Glad you made it home.

  • @4y6857b You must have been at Don Muang AFB, Near Bangkok? How about Anderson AFB, Guam? Bless you brother for keeping them flying. My recently departed father, was a carrier pilot in WW2.Korea, and 2 in Nam.He always use to mention the crew boys with great reverence. They would always tell him bring “Their”, plane home. What an amazing professional group. Thank You

  • @mediaphotographer I was at UTapaoRoyalThaiNavalAirBase near Sattahip. About 70/80 miles south of Bangkok.I just Googled it and looked at the satellite image.Looks like a ghost town.We had B52s parked wingtip to wingtip covering the base when I was there.

Sorry that you lost your Dad.I've always respected pilots of all kinds. But carrier pilots...They're a special breed!Landing on a moving football field in the middle of the ocean takes an incredible amount of skill, talent and nerve.

  • @4y6857b Thanks for your kind words, The were the Greatest Generation!

  • @mediaphotographer Don't forget Pres.Bush2 in your list of creative ways to avoid service (real service, that is). You're absolutely right, there were a lot of ways to avoid the draft and/or serving in country. I think that flight to Canada was probably the most used, at least near the end, tho' I have no reliable figures to prove it.

  • @4y6857b Another Way of getting out of Nam was to enlist with the "week end warriorss”. Bush Had a 2-S Deferment. He later Joined the Texas National Guard. He flew. F101B, F102A,T-41As,T-38s. • @TwistyPuzzler43 I just re-read your post, and have to repeat and stress what seems to be a mis-understanding on your part. You said,"you're saying it like those men were forced to fight and leave home."That is exactly what happened!!!If you were drafted in the 60s you either went to VN and fought and killed or got killed or you went to prison or you were forced to leave your home and country and live life as a fugitive. There were no other choices!!!

  • The Vietnam War was started by the French who were startled by monkeys in southeast Asia and promptly surrendered to them. Meanwhile, in Hanoi, Ho Chi Min Laden decided that he really liked the color red, so the United States went batshit and sent in troops. Some people said this was because the South Vietnamese were fighting against the communists, but really it was because Nixon was trafficking drugs.

  • @Spocktavian Were you there? Nixion was trafficking drugs? What ones are you on?

  • I give a toast to the men who were in the dirt on the front lines armed with only a camera. The brave ones that give us a clue what it's like and what the soldiers go through.

  • @pen24 Thank you, I was a former Combat Marine Photographer attached to the 3rd Marin Div, and then to1st Marine Division in Vietnam 67-70. We were all qualified as marksman at Basic Training. My Bullet damaged Nikon camera is the marine Museum in Quantico.. Look up Donnie Shear vid, He was a close friend of mine. Semper Fi

  • My grandpa 2 year term was done 3 months before. Vietnam so he wasn't in the war

  • It's shocking how terrible and pointless war is.. those soldiers just wanted to be home, instead they were fighting for nothing. They didn't even know... fighting the game the elite play. Shocking. War should never take place. It's all a set up.

  • when we where in iraq it was basically a present day version of the vietnam war

  • Prseidents Johnson and Nixon didn't like Asian people

  • I think 9/11 was just even a better reason for USA to start fighting against something. Has there been any good evidence that Al-Qaida was behind it?

    Reasons behind:

Korean War: ''The Threat of Communism''

Vietnam War: ''The Threat of Communism''

I still might understand Gulf War, but why are the US troops there in Afghanistan and Iraq? Taliban and Al-Qaeda? What have they done to USA?

  • @T4mp10

Theres has been a TON of evidence that Al-Qaida was behind 9/11. I wouldn't even call it evidence anymore, I would call it proof. Al-Qaida members were caught on video entering the airport, Captured Al-Qaida members held at GITMO have confessed to it and provide info about it, 1000s up 1000s of leaked military documents from wiki leaks prove it. We are in Iraq and Afghanistan because of the large terrorist cells operating through out the whole country, they are a threat to the world.

  • @ace19901227 You may be missing the point that conspiracy theorists are unable to accept reality. The fear of the world around them forces them to make up a fantasy world of their own!

  • @alanheath3

Couldn't have said it better myself ;)

  • @ace19901227 I suspect he would also deny that there was a threat of communism too!

  • @alanheath3

He sure would!, he probably also thinks 9/11 was inside job, we faked the moon landing, Kennedy was an inside job, and that Elvis and Michael Jackson are still alive. Some people just can't face facts lol.

  • @ace19901227 I need to point out that Elvis is still alive. He is working in the local fish and chip shop. I heard that Michael Jackson has also got a job there too but I have not been in since he started work!!

  • @ace19901227 Why did we invade Iraq?

  • @InserrtUsername Iraq violated 19 of the 22 UN resolutions that concluded the Gulf War ceasefire agreement and was required by UN 687 to comply or we will force you too. This what started the 2003 Iraq war.

Gulf War started when Iraq invaded Kuwait, UN took part of this war and authorized coalition from 34 nations led by the US against Iraq. Iraq got kicked out of Kuwait, signed a ceasefire agreement that stop shooting but not ending the war. Didn't comply then 2003 war starts.

  • @ace19901227 iraq? since when? the reason the us invaded iraq was to find WMD which where not there lol there are more terrorists in saudi than iraq

  • @ray1351

You do realize that wasn't the only reason we went to Iraq? The whole WMD thing, ya not the only reason. And no, I'm not saying it was about oil. That has to be the most absurd and ridiculous thing I have ever heard, it's also very insulting.

  • @ray1351 like the government there. stupid wahabiists.

  • @ray1351 Very true although now the US is just taking the oil there and setting a foothold in the Middle East in case something goes down. Saudi Arabia is actually infested with terrorists but its not like they support them or protect them, in fact the terrorists target governments that are on good terms with the US.

  • @ace19901227 Question.... How does a 747 airplane fit into a 16 foot hole? If u can figure out the answer of that question than u just proved that our goverment wasn't behind 9/11. Because thats exactly is the question i would like to know about the pentagon wall
