I think the point here is that harvesting large apex predators like mako sharks is not sustainible(though mako's are quite edible) as harvesting smaller more abundant sea life like salmon. Hopefully halibut's not an endangered species as it's my favorite tasting fish(the least "fishy" tasting)

Here in the UK we used to have a half-decent mako fishery until people caught them all. One minute this guy is showing off his 'muscles' and then gives the guy next to him the rod to 'fight' the fish. Not sporting as anyone in a sportsfishing tournament would tell you. Also, there's no need to kill a fish this size as it is not good to eat: when the fish gets over about 2 meters the mercury content is too high. True fishing sportsmen so not do this! Grow some balls and do the right thing next time and let the big ones go.

Also i bet non of you have seen in person a 9 foot, 410 lbs mako jump 4 times 20ft each time and barrel roll past the bow of the boat, really you guys havnt seen anything, ALSO nice flabby arm man you aint that strong, which is why half way through the fight you were winded, LOL thats sad man i once fought a 322 lbs blue shark on 20lbs test line for 14 minutes, on a BLUE FISH rig wasnt even sharking, oh plus im half your size, LOL big man fat man
