The blazer has a nice low center of gravity and the ford has more weight to deal with per ft lb of tourqe. His truck was a 1985 f-250 on 31's with a 4 inch suspension lift and a dana 60. I'm not sayin the ford was a bad truck, and i admit mine is less capable off road, but on pavement the bowtie took the win.

"yeah, yeah. that 360 aint shit" the 360 ci hasn't been used in a very long time. off the top of my head it was the early 70s i think. i know they had a funny oil pan that made it a pain to put in a more recent truck like this (92-96 i'm pretty sure). dodge i believe still uses their 360 ci. as for the s10 pulling the f series back i would have to see that in real life. i'm pretty conident that he wouldn't pull my time like that.

@2willpak The v6 vortec is always under estimated. I drive a GMC Jimmy 4x4 with the same exact engine and it amazes me all the time. When i first got it i was saying thing you're saying but now i love my 4.3 v6 vortec.
Still like the v8 it my silverado better tho ;)

@StevenMerciful Oh yeah, I didn't think a 3.0L was much either, till I drove a 99 Ford Taurus, Man!...with fwd, that thing can run!.....I still find it hard to believe that it could out pull that v8 though, maybe it was because they were pulling in reverse. Never seen a pull done like that before.

@2willpak That i def agree on, my bro had a 99 tarurus and we drove the hell outta that thing and still runs good to this day, but yeah it seems logical that the v8 would kill that v6. Idk exactly what happened but it happened. Both great trucks tho.

@2willpak I've pulled a 460 ford with my blazer z85 4.3 v6. Once the locker engages the ford had no chance. The blazer has a nice low center of gravity and the ford has more weight to deal with per ft lb of tourqe. His truck was a 1985 f-250 on 31's with a 4 inch suspension lift and a dana 60. I'm not sayin the ford was a bad truck, and i admit mine is less capable off road, but on pavement the bowtie took the win.

@2willpak Absolutely. Factor in drive ratios, tire contact patch, weight, distibution of that weight and suddenly the odds have changed. I saw a supercharged 3800 v6 sand rail pull an f550 up a sand dune like it wasn't there out at glamis, and the ford had way more torque. It's the application that matters.

and if you take a ford f-150 2011 6.2L it has 379 HP and 411 ft/lbs
