Crossover was a movement started in the 80's by bands such as DRI, Crumbsuckers, SOD. MOD, Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front. It combines metal and hardcore and said it was cool for fans of both genres to like both genres. Early Anthrax, Nuclear Assualt also had hardcore influences. bands like Biohazard and Pro-pain (ex-crumbsuckers) carried on Crossover.
