WE contrinubted more to the world than your country so STFU troll.
Funny people hated us with little to no reasons what-so-ever. The U.S. protected Europe and Asia from the threat of the Soviet aggression throughout the Cold War, stopped the ethic cleansing of Muslims by nationalist Serbs in Bosnia and Kosovo in the 1990s, and liberated Kuwait from Iraqi occupation in 1991. Unlike other superpowers who conquer resources and power, we actually tried to help, causing us to be indebted to ourselves so we play some sort of superpower hero type like superman.
Good Point pinegrove. We sent our own men into World War 1 and World War 2 to help the allies win and stop the axis from upsetting the balance of power. And now they hate us for simply random reasons. What stupid argument I found was someone saying that Americans invaded Slavery. Portugal was the first nation to have black slaves and thousands of years ago slaves existed surely.
i´ve read that antiamericanism is caused by a mixture of fear and envy. even in countries where people protest every single day against the united states a lot of people are standing in front of the american embassy to emigrate to the united states. i think it´s somehow strange^^

@derrotebaron1000 War against Somalia and Vietnam for money? Come on you got to be kidding me. The UN specially asked the U.S. to be there as part of a peacekeeping force providing humanitarian aid to the starving Somalians. Vietnam, the U.S. was there in the invitation of the ARVN government.
@controversyking and let me ask you a question sir! which country earns the most amount of money from wars? its ur country sir! did i count the war against somalia or vietnam?
@controversyking and i will say why people hate americans! me personally i like americans but hate the USgovernment!because 500 000 iraqis (half million)died in the 2nd golf war. 200 000 japanese because of the atomic bomb, the USgov. supports israel with weapons, eventhough they kill children in palestine! everyday there are civilists dieying in afghanistan more than soldiers or terrorists! i m still wondering why war criminals like rumsfeld can move freely everywhere! i did nt even count WW1+2
America is imperialistic and this is coming from a US citizen. When you refer to the "aid" that the US gives it usually goes to third world dictators. What irritates me is when foreigners equate the average US citizen to the lunatics we have running our country.
@controversyking I'm not familuar with these particular immigrants. I was under the impression that plane or boat tickets were beyond the financial reach of most people. Thus the bulk of all immigrants to America were those most dedicated to the self improvement and the hardest workers. Doctors can come over here and be happy on a janitor's wage because its still a better life style than being a doctor back home. You'd think that would engender a bit of gratitude.
I lived in the UK for ten years and never once commented on the state of UK politics. Yet, the Brits were never shy about sharing their views on US politics with me.
@odaymustdie It wasn't just the British. The French, Belgians, Germans, Italians, South Africans I ran into also were wont to comment on US politics. The only exceptions were the Poles and the Brazilians I met.
Another great video brother!! I agree with you 100%. I am living in Germany now (my wife is german, I met her when I was stationed here) and the germans have some really crazy thoughts as to what America and americans are all about. The only thing that I do agree with them is that these wars are crap........all of them. I was a SGT in the US Army Infantry and served until 2005 and can tell you that all of these wars are BULLCRAP!!
What you say about the US basically doing its own thing is not only what the US should do, but also what every country should do. Globalisation only has limited benefits at the end of the day, given that it just results in jobs being shipped abroad for "cheap labour". You don't need globalisation to trade with other countries when you have a need to swap resources etc. And if we want a world program, like a space program, then that's no porblem either.
I think some people should go to the church of mind your own business.
As of military stop helping other countries. Is a tricky issue.
The only thing holding the USA dollar is that is the currency used to buy comodities around the world (aka everyone need to have dollars to buy and sell). If the military presense is lessen, then what leverage would the USA have to stop the international comunity to change it to the Euro, resulting in a free-fall of the dollar to 25 cents on the dollar.
Sadly Berno it is Liberals in our own beloved country that are feeding the hatred of America and Americans through their constant anti American rhetoric and outright propaganda. I do agree that we need to start taking care of our own front porch before we go fixing someone elses.
well the thing is here in europe we hear and learn news from all over the world, especialy from u.s.. even could say we live on u.s. media bubble/culture.
the thing what has befuddled me is how offended americans become when one criticizes their country. like it's only their privilege. over here it's totally normal to "find fault" on other countries.
@escobari Why would it "befuddle" you when Americans get offended that their home is constantly insulted? I think just about any one would be offended when their nation is constantly insulted. Especially when said nation gives so much aid to the very people insulting them. It would be like me giving you an apple and then have you insult my house for a bad paint job. Of course we get offended.
My opinion: Any idea or person who endorses ideology or proposes actions not constitutional. People have a tendency to define "unamerican" or "anti american" as anything in rebellion or disagreement with the government. I love my nation, in terms of my countrymen and liberty (what little bit we have now), but I do not love my government.
Being a non-american I can appreciate your comments. For far to long the USA has dictated how the world turns and its time to step down. Not only for your own sake but the worlds.I understand that the world needs a peacemaker but the community as a whole should make those decisions. The UN has become an in effective tool over the years and it should change.Having the US reel in the reins would help regain its strength and help change such a negative opinion of itself.
@waderp You're argument is like saying everyone should stay in isloation. Because that's what WW2 happened. The Democracies let Germany and Japan conquer one by one and that's what WW2 in the 1st place.
The world needs a peacemaker like it or not. The U.S. have more resources and politcal reins within the world.
The world community does nothing, the U.S. does most of the work while the rest of NATO hide behind the USA and spend on their own social net.
Bernard, the US can't pull a 180 now. It's do or die. Troops aren't out there to have a dinner party, they stabilize important regions, secure resources, prevent wars by showing presence. What people, especially haters, never understand is that the military and economic power of the US stabilizes the entire world. 100 years ago there may have been a choice, but not now after 2 world wars and the fall of the soviet union, you have to step up to the plate. Forget ron pauls non-interventionism.
I would love for us to draw all of our troops back from around the world. We should build 2 fences, one to the North & one to the South, and practice some isolationism. The world would demonize us for not "helping out", but a strong leader could point out how we have never been appreciated anyway and that we are simply keeping out of everyone elses business. After all, we wouldn't want to be considered Imperialist. Obama would never have the stomach for the job. The world would freak out!
hehehehehe. I'm sorry Bernie. I couldn't stop that coming out. Yep, the world is anti-American just as it used to be anti-British when we (cuz I am English) used to take civilisation, trade, education, railways, hospitals, government, Institutions from The Courts to the Country Women's Association et all up the Ying Yang and hand them as a gift to all the unwashed out there. Bernie, son, its your turn. I sympathise. Oh boy do I understand your being pissed-off.
I lived and worked on the boardwalk in Venice, CA for 8 years. I've known hundreds of Europeans visiting from 2 days to 5 years at various levels of intimacy and friendship. Most are completely brainwashed as to what they think Americans are, while at the same time accusing Americans of stereotyping them. They have those videos about "stupid Americans" here on YT where they ask random people questions. They ask 100 people and only air the 10 stupidest answers, so they think we're all stupid.
I'm an English man..... I love the USA. The greatest reason to be thankful for the USA is her constitution. The great piece of secular writing ever! And who in the history has enjoyed such a long span of individual freedoms and individual wealth? I can't think of any other nation history.
Seems to me in foreign relations and its global activity, the USA is 'dammed if it does and dammed if it doesn't'. You are neither fish nor foul to some brain dead people. Fuck 'em! Ron Paul 2012!
well ..Ican say I love keeping up with whats going on in the US .. economically and culturally, everything that goes on there eventually rubs off on us down here. Its a domino effect .... the way the world is we're all connected.
Yeah ...it must suck to give some countries all that foreign aid....only to have them stab you in the back. Love the cap! :)) God bless America!
I like the idea, Bernie....how can we get it done? No one wants to look like a bad guy, and yet we're dickering in congress over pennies when all the C-notes are getting pushed down the Defense Dept throat whether they want it or not. We pay 152 countries around the world money to help them, we spend trillions to defend them, and they spend time telling us how we suck. I bet you a 20 that if we stopped all that tomorrow we'd suck for 2 new reasons. Can't win for losing, but I'd like to try it!
I'm sick of phrases like "Arrogant American". I live in Florida and have seen true arrogance on the part of these illegal Mexicans that live in our country, can only speak Spanish, and treat Americans at stores like 2nd class citizens.
I've known Europeans, especially an old Wehrmacht veteran from WWII, who were keenly aware of what America really is and does around the world and notes that a lot of the anti-American sentiment stems from shame from a lack of ability to do what we do whenever disaster strikes. Thousands of years of history and heritage does little to nothing when bad things happen, but there's American power, on the scene in a matter of days. I've argued that it's tough NOT to come off arrogant. cont...
@TheWyldeGoose cont... I try not to come off arrogant, try to learn the language of the country I'm visiting as best I can (even English, when I'm in Britain), but I found out they're going to think I am anyway. When I lived in Germany, the principle thing people who knew me and interacted with me was that I was American. But I wasn't alone. Turks, who were 3rd or 4th generation Germans, are still considered Turks even if they've never set foot in Turkey. Nationalism is a part of the problem
Anti-Americanism is considered by some to be the new Anti-semitism. Many in the developing world consider the US to be the looming presence that influences everything behind the scenes.
Anti-Americanism is rooted in nationalistic ambivalence and envy. It is fun to throw darts at the ailing giant.
I think it might actually be a good idea for us to keep a low profile for a short time, maybe a couple years. Then, when the rest of the world comes back begging four our assistance, America will say "What's in it for us?"
@TheLordmep people like you are the reason why "stupid american" stereotype exists. Yes, Iraq would be a better country without your war crimes. Keeping a low profile is not a big deal, I'm still waiting when you're going to pay for your genocides. "What's in it for us?" LOL, oil fields maybe? You really think you're HELPING anyone? Wake up. In the same way, Soivet Union was "helping" my country for over 40 years after WWII.
@gctechs Wow. Didn't think I was so popular. But no. The "stupid american" stereotype arises from people who can't name their own senators or any of the first 10 amendments. I'm pretty sure the US government has already issued apologies to natives for the genocide and blacks for slavery. I'll only apologise for crimes that I commit.
As for the oil thing, maybe a temporary isolation is just the kind of motivation we need to pressure our researchers into finding alternatives.
America offers great things which I had enjoyed. Cedar Point, concerts at Harpos, **Orlando Florida**, and more. The free speech allowed in America has set me free as a male. Tom Leykis was banned over here for example LoL.
My beefs with America are the Iraq holocaust and arresting/raping people for Mary Jane possession. The "war on terror" and the "war on drugs" are ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong I have a ton of beef with Canada too. Hell it was legal for them to cut the end of my penis off.
Wonderful video brother!! Your points are so true on this anti American CRAP from those we continue to help! Let them help them self's for a change! Bring our boys home and secure our border! We cannot afford to keep giving to those who hate us any more! BRAVO!!
i see a lot of anti americanism on russia today channel comments;i think its directed at who is currently running the show;anti-britainism is typically lumped in as well.
but similarly how can anyone criticize something else which s/he is not a part of. I hear so many Americans criticizing Islam for example just based on their media coverage and nothing else. It's so unfair - they oftentimes just reiterate empty cliches without any real knowledge of the fact.
But I respect America and Americans like any other people(s).
Yep, I have seen that one and would have cancelled my account a week ago, but I already was charged for the month so I am waiting until the end of the week. They immediately stop service when you cancel. The best way to hurt a company that does this is to dollar vote.
Even in Poland, where I live, the "secret CIA prisons" affair took place, which was really shameful. In practice, being anti-USA it's more how America is on the outside, from other countries standpoint, not inside. I only hope I will not be recognised as an anti-american from now on :).
yep and once revolution is done in the USA. Americans should play that speech that JFK delivered before multitudes in `61 on intercoms in class rooms before children start class. Listening while they stand with their hands on their hearts. Yeah Ron Paul's going to win and after he wins he'll round up the public sector racketeering crooks that "were" in office. Thumbs Up from Canada. Yeah we have lot of public sector crooks and LawLIARs too. I'd say more than USA per capita.
Hello pinegrove33, I love your vids and agree with most of them. Sorry for my bad english. I'm personally not anti-american, but I'm afraid I know some reason why anti-americanism exist. The problem is, there's no reason for Afghanistan, Iraq, Libia, terrible war crimes, torture etc. Anti-americanism is gonna stop only together with things like that. The HUMILITY you're saying is right, but it's also needed when USA enters another country.
I think most of these people base their opinions on the military, economic, and political influence and abuses that have occurred all across the planet for many decades. Speaking with some foreigners I have found out that it used to be a hatred towards the government of the U.S.. In some places that has extended to hatred of U.S. citizens as we the people have failed to show a sufficient level of unhappiness with foreign policy and therefore are viewed as passively accepting it.
The biggest threats to american liberty are within our own ranks, among our "supposed leaders" who know longer represent the American people or our wishes, but are devoted to their masters who have bought most of them off..."BIG CORPORATIONS: and these Corporations have zero loyalty or concern for American or its republic. They only care about "PROFITS and CONTROL." They now rule our government and the laws are made to favoer them not the people. Wall St. Has destroyed Main St.
Further to my previous comment just below, I don't like Ted Bundy, even though he's dead and I was not one of his victims, but still he was proven to be a despicable human being. My point is, I don't dislike anyone unless I have a very good reason for not liking them. Their nationality, race, gender, etc has no bearing on my sentiments towards that particular individual! I'd probably be hated for loving my Bernie though!
@TheFreeman35 Patriotism is healthy and not to be conflated with imperialism. I believe in nationalism but don't believe in harassing other countries unless they start stuff with us. America's Bill of Rights is what i cherish most. A "citizen of the world" is a citizen nowhere IMHO.
@pinegrove33 well that is your opinion Bernard and your entitled to it fella :) guess we going to have to disagree to agree to use an overused ..saying.. I dont feel proud of a flag waving over the land i dont own,nor do my fellow "welshmen" (:
@pinegrove33 as for a citizen of the world, not so sure about that, part of the human race, hmm dont like that term either, part of a sovereign planet,NOW we are on the same page :) maybe..
When you say: “… In the future I say the best thing for the US is to do is to keep away … let’s other nations solve their own problems … “ you are exactly right and in line with what other nations want!!! (… Except maybe Israel … )
@avnerrietti I deleted your other comments. You have the charm of a rattlesnake. I'll bid you adieu both from here and the other place. You keep your hate of your own country to yourself.
It's more annoying when Americans are anti-American. American liberals often complain about how racist, sexist, and bigoted their country is, when actually, it's one of the most tolerant. Whatever discrimination may exist in modern America, it's so small that it has no harmful effect, so they should stop being miserable pessimists and enjoy the freedom they have.
I guess they hold different values. Anti-Americans have to realize that reverence of natural rights over social justice does not equate racism, sexism , or bigotry.
There's Bernie speaking the truth....again. I live in England, was born in the Carribean, spent years in America and speak with "an American accent". I've been treated, not so kindly in some instances, because of my accent. Although many people have told me that they like the way I speak, I've been made to realise that Americans are despised. I only dislike someone if they've offended me personally. People need to stop being prejudice if there is to be WORLD PEACE!!
@Angel19403 Americans are despised ? Really ? News to me. I suspect many people around the world may despise the USA military industrial complex. That is not the same as despising the people. Let's not forget, every country has it's loud and pompous numpties relative to it's population size etc. Plus, whether you/we like it or not or even recognise it ? Everyone likes to knock the top dog in any walk of life, even the top sports team. It's just human nature.
@bettyswolloks2 Sorry, but I really don't understand the point you're trying to make. Can you be more specific especially about your comment regarding "human nature".
@Angel19403 Apologies. The point I am making is that when people see you as the top dog they naturally want to bring you down a peg or two. Most people see America as being king of the castle just now.
@bettyswolloks2 Oh, that's your opinion regarding America, shaped by what other people think. Experience has taught me that there are few people who have very narrow views on America and or Americans. Again, as I do live in England, I have been mistaken for an American because of my accent and therefore have been insulted, basically because of that. It's just ignorance and it never results in violence so I'm not so bothered about it anymore.
@Angel19403 Just explaining my point about whoever to be at the top naturally attract others that wish to bring them down. I have only met a few Americans, mostly on my travels. Most are quite friendly and yes one or two have been quite pompous but as I said, all countries have these types. I am not sure how long you have lived in the UK ? But, I am sure you will have figured out by now that most British people do not like arrogance etc. perhaps it;s just a few narrow minded people you have met
@bettyswolloks2 Spot on about the few narrow minded people that I have met. I wish those same people will get out and travel a lot more around in Britain, rather than spending so much time in their local pubs. I've been here for 14 years and throughout that time I have learned that the British as you say they are, are really no different in the sense that they do not like "arrogance". I've spent 5 years in America and I've met a significant amount of Americans who dislike the loud and pompous.
Uncle Bern, methinks someone has pissed on your pitch today ? What you experienced is no big deal, I get it quite alot here in the UK. I really like to learn about other cultures when I get the chance. The one thing that gets right up my wazoo though is talking with foreigners who are glad to tell me about their country/culture but always seem to add how I must understand and accept it and yet they know almost nothing about mine and don't care to find out either.
@bettyswolloks2 About 3 years of Swedish kids giving me the what for. I'm pretty sick of it. Some uni kid at 18 telling me about my homeland. Makes me sick.
@pinegrove33 I understand. I am sure anyone from any country would feel the same. Plus 18 year old spoonheads from uni have the ability to cause much stress. The frustration you are feeling is what happens when your common sense overides the natural desire to choke the living shit out of the little cherubs.
They're full of pompus arrogant attitude and bold RIDICULOUS statements about America that just make NO fucking sense!!!
I had friends like this. Ultimately these people are usually oversexed, brainless people...
-who have a subtle tinge of underlying envy!
America as I see it is a pretty cool (as in easygoing) country with a history of productivity and a backbone of morality (despite the present culture)...
Yea Anti-Americans are usually pampered retards - with the exception of radical Muslims who are unpampered morons lol...
Anti americans from less rugged countries tho seem to engage in Anti-Americanism as a fashion statement, their arguments pretty much boil down to nothing if you press it.
I think we can both essentially agree however, that the fundamental point of this discussion is to say, "if you're not informed, don't act as if you are." That goes with any discussion on anything period.
However, politically, because the US is the hegemon, the US is an exception to this rule. People from outside the US have more than enough of a right to comment on the internal affairs of the US, because like it or not, the financial, military, and geopolitical influence of the US is something which affects all of us. In Canada for example, the collapse of Wall Street in 2008 led to a recession here. No wonder, as the two countries are connected by NAFTA, and 75% of our imports come from there.
Where I am from the most intellectual forms of Anti-Americanism are usually a reaction to American foreign policy. I do not have much against America apart from your government creating instability in my neck of the woods. But I think that you would probably be against that too...
As a Canadian who started school in the US and lived in there for 5 1/2 years, I found this video interesting.
I partially agree with you, that especially in terms of American culture, there is an ignorance about the US that can really only be ridded of with having lived there. Some (Canadians at least) who have never lived there have very unfounded stereotypes about the US, the main mistake being that they discuss a very diverse, fragmented, and complex country as one culture.
@BloggerMusicMan yeah, i'm always surprised how much some Canadians dislike us. Most Americans really like Canadians. My g-father grew up in Hamilton where he met my G-ma. Mom considered Canada a second home. I went to Ontario all the time as a lad.
@pinegrove33 The anti-american hatred mostly comes from Québec (as the separatists hate all english-speaking people and consider bilingualism a necessary evil to "speak the tongue of the enemy") but I must agree that there is some anti-americanism in the other provinces.
Leftists hate capitalism and the US...our country just happens to be dominated by leftists, especially in our media, so there you go for your answer :)
@BloggerMusicMan true as a dual citizen that has lived in both countries many times, in Vancouver its a social faux pas to say that america is better in anyway
America is probably 2 to 3 times more popularized outside of the borders than inside of the U.S. That's why Michael Jackson and Britney Spears are so famous. The mystique has gone so out of control that in effect the locals are completely blown out of the water by the outsiders.
Well Bern, as a huge Ron Paul fan from Flanders (Belgium), I hope it wasn't a comment of mine that made you post this video. I can see where you're coming from wrt the average European (which, judging by my friends, is 90+% Obamabot), but take it as a compliment that nobody even bothers to look into the internal politics of countries such as China or Russia. If the US or part of it ever pulls a Ron Paul, let me know and I'll be sailing right to you to join you asap. Take care.
@PJCelis wow, hey are you guys going to split into two countries there? I keep hearing that about Belgium but don't really know. Nah, your comments are fine i don't recall anything like that. Hey, we'll be glad to take a Belgian--not that i have any power...alas.
@pinegrove33 Yeah we're about to secede from the nation :) The issue is that the French southern part of Belgium (Wallonia) keeps on voting socialist because social security (which is federal) means that the richer Dutch northern part (Flanders) keeps paying. Transfers are currently at 2000 euro per year per Flemish person. The cultural, intellectual and media establishment plays the "solidarity" card, but I am confident that despite tons of filibustering we'll have Flemish independence soon.J
Have fun in you're country but from now on, leave europe alone America

Another great video brother!! I agree with you 100%. I am living in Germany now (my wife is german, I met her when I was stationed here) and the germans have some really crazy thoughts as to what America and americans are all about. The only thing that I do agree with them is that these wars are crap........all of them.

I do agree that we need to start taking care of our own front porch before we go fixing someone elses.

well the thing is here in europe we hear and learn news from all over the world, especialy from u.s.. even could say we live on u.s. media bubble/culture.
the thing what has befuddled me is how offended americans become when one criticizes their country. like it's only their privilege. over here it's totally normal to "find fault" on other countries.
escobari 10 months ago
@escobari Why would it "befuddle" you when Americans get offended that their home is constantly insulted? I think just about any one would be offended when their nation is constantly insulted. Especially when said nation gives so much aid to the very people insulting them. It would be like me giving you an apple and then have you insult my house for a bad paint job. Of course we get offended.
Chevrobert 10 months ago
My opinion: Any idea or person who endorses ideology or proposes actions not constitutional. People have a tendency to define "unamerican" or "anti american" as anything in rebellion or disagreement with the government. I love my nation, in terms of my countrymen and liberty (what little bit we have now), but I do not love my government.
smttysmth02gt 10 months ago
Being a non-american I can appreciate your comments. For far to long the USA has dictated how the world turns and its time to step down. Not only for your own sake but the worlds.I understand that the world needs a peacemaker but the community as a whole should make those decisions. The UN has become an in effective tool over the years and it should change.Having the US reel in the reins would help regain its strength and help change such a negative opinion of itself.
waderp 10 months ago

ComeLeVent 10 months ago
I would love for us to draw all of our troops back from around the world. We should build 2 fences, one to the North & one to the South, and practice some isolationism. The world would demonize us for not "helping out", but a strong leader could point out how we have never been appreciated anyway and that we are simply keeping out of everyone elses business. After all, we wouldn't want to be considered Imperialist. Obama would never have the stomach for the job. The world would freak out!

I've argued that it's tough NOT to come off arrogant. cont...
TheWyldeGoose 10 months ago
@TheWyldeGoose cont... I try not to come off arrogant, try to learn the language of the country I'm visiting as best I can (even English, when I'm in Britain), but I found out they're going to think I am anyway. When I lived in Germany, the principle thing people who knew me and interacted with me was that I was American. But I wasn't alone. Turks, who were 3rd or 4th generation Germans, are still considered Turks even if they've never set foot in Turkey. Nationalism is a part of the problem
TheWyldeGoose 10 months ago
Anti-Americanism is considered by some to be the new Anti-semitism. Many in the developing world consider the US to be the looming presence that influences everything behind the scenes.
Anti-Americanism is rooted in nationalistic ambivalence and envy. It is fun to throw darts at the ailing giant.

In the same way, Soivet Union was "helping" my country for over 40 years after WWII.
gctechs 10 months ago
@gctechs Wow. Didn't think I was so popular. But no. The "stupid american" stereotype arises from people who can't name their own senators or any of the first 10 amendments.

Angel19403 10 months ago
@Angel19403 Americans are despised ? Really ? News to me. I suspect many people around the world may despise the USA military industrial complex. That is not the same as despising the people. Let's not forget, every country has it's loud and pompous numpties relative to it's population size etc. Plus, whether you/we like it or not or even recognise it ? Everyone likes to knock the top dog in any walk of life, even the top sports team. It's just human nature.
bettyswolloks2 10 months ago
@bettyswolloks2 Sorry, but I really don't understand the point you're trying to make. Can you be more specific especially about your comment regarding "human nature".
Angel19403 10 months ago
@Angel19403 Apologies. The point I am making is that when people see you as the top dog they naturally want to bring you down a peg or two. Most people see America as being king of the castle just now.
bettyswolloks2 10 months ago
@bettyswolloks2 Oh, that's your opinion regarding America, shaped by what other people think. Experience has taught me that there are few people who have very narrow views on America and or Americans. Again, as I do live in England, I have been mistaken for an American because of my accent and therefore have been insulted, basically because of that. It's just ignorance and it never results in violence so I'm not so bothered about it anymore.
Angel19403 10 months ago
@Angel19403 Just explaining my point about whoever to be at the top naturally attract others that wish to bring them down. I have only met a few Americans, mostly on my travels. Most are quite friendly and yes one or two have been quite pompous but as I said, all countries have these types. I am not sure how long you have lived in the UK ? But, I am sure you will have figured out by now that most British people do not like arrogance etc. perhaps it;s just a few narrow minded people you have met
bettyswolloks2 10 months ago
@bettyswolloks2 Spot on about the few narrow minded people that I have met. I wish those same people will get out and travel a lot more around in Britain, rather than spending so much time in their local pubs. I've been here for 14 years and throughout that time I have learned that the British as you say they are, are really no different in the sense that they do not like "arrogance". I've spent 5 years in America and I've met a significant amount of Americans who dislike the loud and pompous.

BloggerMusicMan 10 months ago

BloggerMusicMan 10 months ago
@BloggerMusicMan yeah, i'm always surprised how much some Canadians dislike us. Most Americans really like Canadians. My g-father grew up in Hamilton where he met my G-ma. Mom considered Canada a second home. I went to Ontario all the time as a lad.
