@TheKnr10 Its Cody not Coby, and he wears the handcuffs on purpose. If you play him in Stret Fighter Alpha 3 his taunt animation is that he casually takes them off for a moment and puts them back on. He is wearing them because he is so good at fighting that he purposely wants to be handicapped in fighting to make it "not boring" because his bored of it.
Although SF Alpha 3 may look cartoonish at least they got everything else right like the combat physics, attitude and sound which all three are lacking in this one. I don't like the new characters one bit either =3
This intro erased any doubts about my purchase of this game. It was so awesome I was relieved but then I started playing it... And its sorry. Its too cartoony, they talk too much, everything is REALLY hyped up... They tried too hard.

Why the hell is there so much complaining about this opening? SSF4's opening is way better than SF4's, which was all hogged up by Ken and Ryu. I don't even understand how anyone could like SF4's theme, it sounded like something straight out of high school musical.
And for those of you wondering what the theme is at the beginning its a remix of Volcanic Rim from the volcano stage, which I'm very glad they decided to use as the main theme.

There is not much relationship between Cun-Li and Juri save the usual hero-villain rivalry. Chun-li wants to stop and capture Juri and Juri likes to taunt her in general.

Juri is a very well thought out addition to the current cast. For a long time the SF series much needed a female villain and Juri is excellent for this role. Wild, strong, sexy and evil, also the first CAPCOM character that uses TaeKwonDo, amazingly well done. With the addition of Juri and Hakan once again CAPCOM proves that they still got the golden touch that makes the SF franchise so great.
@rowdigo late reply yes but ryu is based up strength and defense, while ken is more of a fast and technical fighter so differense is ryu and ken are for the new guys who just started if they love speed and tech ken it is if they like patient and strong ryu or they can spice it up by using gouki which is similar to both together except he has low vital. in this game the hardest characters are the ones that involve charging to use specials vega/bison ftw
lol hes rite. if their rivals, they have to be pretty evenly natch and at the same time, just watch this video for example. watch how both ken and ryu are fighting on par with each other, trading blows and dealing damage at the same time. they r equals. but i personally think that ken is .1 stronger than ryu but ryu has more technique than him. i got this from watching the anime and random fights from them both. oh and from the movie.

The gaps of time are too big between them. They are equal fighters but they go on different paths. They are rivals as well so their power will never be to far apart. Ryu had the power of akuma but if you watch the anime he becomes quite pure after a certain battle with two hadoken users. He spends most of his life training and he freakin walks around everywhere very slowly yet can get from japan to india in like three weeks or something on foot (OoO I must know that secret walking knowledge). if Ken put as much time into training and perfecting his art as Ryu does then there wouldn't be this discussion at all. Plus in anime main character equals most power.
Actually looking at both there storylines, stats, techniques I have to say yes Ryu does come off to have alot more power but look at it from this veiw. They both have the same teacher, they trained from under that teacher for the same time with the same training, but this is where it differs a.) The updated tier list has Gouken placed on tier 2. Gouken never lived long enough to reach the level of Akuma, Oro, Gill, SFA3 Bison, and of course the Goddess Ingrid by SF3: Third Strike.
The reasoning for putting Gouken on tier 2 is because he beat Akuma even when his little brother acquired the Dark Hadou under his belt. Years later the best that Gen ever did was draw because Akuma sensed his illness. By Street Fighter 3 Gouken is dead, this time for real, no more retcons.

Juri is a very well thought out addition to the current cast. For a long time the SF series much needed a female villain and Juri is excellent for this role. Wild, strong, sexy and evil, also the first CAPCOM character that uses TaeKwonDo, amazingly well done. With the addition of Juri and Hakan once again CAPCOM proves that they still got the golden touch that makes the SF franchise so great.

I don't know about who is stronger Ryu or Ken...
But for sure Guy is one of the strongest in SF storyline along Cody.... They are like Ryu and Ken but Guy and Cody are completely equal.

@rowdigo late reply yes but ryu is based up strength and defense, while ken is more of a fast and technical fighter so differense is ryu and ken are for the new guys who just started if they love speed and tech ken it is if they like patient and strong ryu or they can spice it up by using gouki which is similar to both together except he has low vital. in this game the hardest characters are the ones that involve charging to use specials vega/bison ftw

lol hes rite. if their rivals, they have to be pretty evenly natch and at the same time, just watch this video for example. watch how both ken and ryu are fighting on par with each other, trading blows and dealing damage at the same time. they r equals. but i personally think that ken is .1 stronger than ryu but ryu has more technique than him. i got this from watching the anime and random fights from them both. oh and from the movie.

Sheesh guy's calm down. Truly you guys wouldn't possibly know the score between them. Games are the most none credited way to put the story together. There isn't enough anime either or any manga. The gaps of time are too big between them. They are equal fighters but they go on different paths. They are rivals as well so their power will never be to far apart. Enough of SnH all he got by overcoming that red eyed form was a new hadoken. Truly it's not a potential thing it's more like possesed. XD

Ryu is stronger, hands down, facts prove it and the stories / manga back it up.
Ken would be able to match Ryu a bit better if he spent more time training? Maybe but thats not NOW is it?

Ryu had the power of akuma but if you watch the anime he becomes quite pure after a certain battle with two hadoken users. He spends most of his life training and he freakin walks around everywhere very slowly yet can get from japan to india in like three weeks or something on foot (OoO I must know that secret walking knowledge). if Ken put as much time into training and perfecting his art as Ryu does then there wouldn't be this discussion at all. Plus in anime main character equals most power.

Actually looking at both there storylines, stats, techniques I have to say yes Ryu does come off to have alot more power but look at it from this veiw. They both have the same teacher, they trained from under that teacher for the same time with the same training, but this is where it differs a.) Ken has a life, a business, a beautiful wife, easily to say the startings of a family, and the training. b.) And what does Ryu have hmmm.. (continuing next post)

@Unnamed8687 If you think there's no such thing as tiers why don't you just ask ANY world champion class or pro player? In the original Street Fighter 2, Guile, because of his handcuffs and ridiculously fast recovery time from Sonic Boom was a nightmare for Ryu and Ken players at the pro levels. It wasn't until Hyper Fighting that Ryu and Guile were more evened out. Try beating a T.Hawk or Balrog player with Cammy...LOL.

I dont see any posts about people saying Ken is stronger. Also you brought up 'facts' and all this said between the 'argument' you two had can be found easily in the SF wiki.
You also posted below saying Ken has fighting potential, why is it only Ryu is shown to is viewers, whether in anime series, movies, stories, manga and author notes with him basically coming out top? Even if its by a slight margin hes deemed stronger.
Also the 'anime' or 'series' america does not count

The updated tier list has Gouken placed on tier 2. Gouken never lived long enough to reach the level of Akuma, Oro, Gill, SFA3 Bison, and of course the Goddess Ingrid by SF3: Third Strike.
The reasoning for putting Gouken on tier 2 is because he beat Akuma even when his little brother acquired the Dark Hadou under his belt. Years later the best that Gen ever did was draw because Akuma sensed his illness. By Street Fighter 3 Gouken is dead, this time for real, no more retcons.

@playthefield21 Fact is, Ken is a player that shouldn't focus on the meters. His mixup crossup game and kara throws set him way at advantage over Ryu.
So, I'm guessing you guys praise the pro's blindly just like the Super Smash brothers boards.... what they don't tell you is they lose to low tier characters too
