well you're not thinking about the fact that Americans designed and built this house, and plus those americans seem to be attending this american university named usc, which pierre koenig the american architect who designed the house, attended and earned his arch degree.

actually, the owner C.H. Stahl, designed and built a scale model of the house before Konig was ever involved.
