As late as 1810 (the last Spanish census of Mexico) Amerindians still made up at least 60% of the population. The next biggest group were the Mestizos (European-Amerinndian mixes), and Spaniards were the smallest group, only a comparative small minority.

I am a US citizen but was born in a different country. i grew up here and speak both english and russian, and so do my parents. there is no crime in knowing more than one language, i believe it makes one feel more intelligent actually. my bf is german american and i teach him how to speak some russian & he loves it. on the other hand i agree about the illegals who come here to work on basic jobs and take jobs away from US citizens, working for more hours and less pay. i think its fucked up

Calling him an immigrant because he is not Native American is off topic and also fairly incorrect. His ANCESTORS were immigrants, but if he was born here, technically he is quite native. And, second, the Native Americans immigrated here across the land bridge thousands of years ago as well, so I guess they would be immigrants too, according to the logic of some of you lackluster thinkers.
