My dad passed away on Friday June 25, 2005, made funeral arrangements on Saturday (next day). Sunday was Father's Day. We buried him on Wednesday of that week. Friday was wedding rehersal. Got married on Saturday. Miss him. He had cancer. He LOVED playing Chess and RISK. I never beat him at chess. He hated losing when we played RISK. He was a good cop too. 63 yrs. old.

@elvismilk But, I do know that as a whole (not necessarily individually) the Jewish doctrine is that they are set apart to receive the Lord's blessings. This is true and was promised to them, but, when Christ came they did not accept him as the fulfillment of this promise.

@elvismilk ; yes free will is very real and necessary because without it, anything in terms of what you give to not only God but others as well is either forced from you or given to get something in return. If your free will is used & you decide to give yourself to whomever then it is your free act & no one has pulled any strings to get it from you. In other words, without free will you are nothing more than a puppet on a string doing what someone directs you to do. Think about it; you choose.

My dad passed away on Friday June 25, 2005, made funeral arrangements on Saturday (next day). Sunday was Father's Day. We buried him on Wednesday of that week. Friday was wedding rehersal. Got married on Saturday. Miss him. He had cancer. He LOVED playing Chess and RISK. I never beat him at chess. He hated losing when we played RISK. He was a good cop too. 63 yrs. old.

I was supposed to get married on church last June 10,2009, wednesday and I felt that my father tried to hang on 'til that day comes. Deep within the limbo of my soul I knew how hard he tried and I also prayed that I walk on the aisle with my beloved mother and father right by my side in the most momentous event of every womans life....My wedding got called-off, my father passed away but with the reasonable certainty. TO WHERE YOU ARE.....I LOVE YOU PAPA.

We played this at my husbands funeral 3 years ago. I am just able to listen to it without breaking down. It is a beautiful song. I reminds me of how I long to see my husband, touch him, kiss him, hold him and although I cannot see him I know he is only a breathe away....so close but yet so far away.
