@Monstergoat66 Youre welcome, but dont say son, I am probably older than you. Nobody with any kind of mature sense does anything for girls lol, women are often more observant than men, and can detect your foul sense of awareness by looking at your self image. Like I said before, its all about your sphere of influence, those females or other men that are aware of style automatically tune into your own level of style, while those below are oblivious to it, its social strata. Good luck.
@Monstergoat66 Lol you seem like a nice guy so I'ma break it you, some guys are ok with a white t and blue high rise jeans and Carhatt boots and a orange broncos baseball cap. Some men want more from themselves, its like anything, its called standards. I am upfront like that doesnt mean I have any particular feelings about a subject I am what I am. So please if you dont have any particular expertise dont try to discredit someone who has more than you, silence is golden in this case bubbah.
@Monstergoat66 lol you are so trolling, go to another youtube video please, and yeah you don't try to compete for women because they pay no attention to you. It's all about your standards, the guy with less style just has his OWN style down to a T and women sense that brother, maybe youre already at that level. Or not would be my guess because you dont appreciate when advice is given. Look at you "accidentally" "back then" "funny" if you didnt care you wouldnt look, troll buzz off.
@Monstergoat66 what the fuck does that have to do with style, did you ever try to compete for women in a metrosexual setting? Your self image speaks of your leadership, its all about where you're from, in your middle class jean jacket setting maybe its ok to wear baseball caps and boots. This guy is focusing more on the urban way of life :)
@Monstergoat66 thats why with your homer simpson dress style all you can pickup is your little local bar rats, normal uptown women expect you to do nothing but park their cars bubbah. :)
My only difference Aaron is that belt and shoes don't *always* have to match. If you read a lot of the glossy mags out there (GQ, Details), many of them recommend ribbon or gross-grain belts for some outfits.
So while it is good as a general rule that your belt matches your shoes, rules are also made to be broken--sometimes that is.
@NiceGuy838111 See I beg to differ. While I wear shoes regularly, I hate being overdressed for events such as house parties and BBQs. I think that being too formal and overdressed for these things would make you seem gay before a nice pair of 6.0's would. :)
Well, from what you are telling me, sounds like that belt would look a bit better with brown shoes. But, you have to make the call. Take it easy with the Ed Hardy gear. It is on the verge of being a bit dated. Very popular a few years ago, but I feel that it is about done. When a designer starts being sold in Target....and I love Target, but leave the Ed Hardy for all the posers at the clubs. Sorry D
I Googled "how to fold a pocket square," found your video on that topic, and was so taken with what you had to say there, that I've spent the last 30 minutes watching all of the rest of your 15 videos. I find your persona in these videos refreshingly upbeat, your advice is both sage and succinct, and you are a very handsome model for showcasing the results of your fashion and grooming tips. You are definitely in the right line of work. Wish you were based in NYC--could use the help.
@NiceGuy838111 He's based in Atlanta, GA. (At least he was when I wrote this.) I agree; he is a sort of guru. He's made so many more videos since I originally made the comment you read. For the most part, they're all amazing! I wish someone would give him his own show, but for now, this is a great medium for him. He rocks! (And he's hot as hell.)
@ThePranxster you're talking about white loafers? Very hard to pull of correctly maybe light suede suite and light khakis? Depends on your body type I would contrast it with a darker shirt and dare I say a light belt?
Sneakers are an interesting situation, very rarely do I recommend wearing sneakers with anything other than shorts, however I do see men wearing them with jeans and pants, if you are wearing casual sneakers, pick a belt that is also very casual (fabric belt). Just be careful.
ooops, always wear my belt to the last whole AHHAHA !

Very cool video! Love how emphasized the belt is, a relatively small accessory for men, yet it plays a huge part in our appearance. Keep it up!

How do u recommend showing off a belt? Especially if you are just wearing jeans and a T shirt, or shorts and a nice shirt that you don't tuck in?
yarduu 2 years ago

I agree, but I am trying to keep it simple for every day guys. Sorta like socks, basic is good and simple is better.

Good stuff man.
Quick question: How do you match a belt to an all-white sneaker? It seems like an all white belt would look kind of gay.
XnegropleaseX 2 years ago
@XnegropleaseX no see, sneakers would look kinda gay to start with, and not gay in a stylish sense :)

What about white casual shoes and jeans. Is it really necessary to wear a white belt?
