  • people think religion works because it tells them to give thanks and they see evidence but giving thanks and tithing(giving) works without worshiping a deity. The real God set this up for us. We don't need a book or cult to follow.

  • Sounds like the bible needed an editor who wasn't an asshole.

  • Was Jesus a buttfucker?

  • @malkooth Are you retarded?

  • @robertsloan85 Why do you worship and Arab?

  • This is a poor documentary. So much stuff left out...

  • When pointing out the discrepancies in a religious text you should stick with the real ones. The rains lasted 40 days and nights they were on the ark 150 days. It is also stated that the raven came back not having found a place to rest, so then he sent out a dove later. Not exactly red flags, but there are actual red flags that not one man wrote the torah so that's just sloppy.

  • @rebirtheternal let me help you with your discrepancies. it rained for 40 days & nights but they stayed in the ark for 150 days to let the water go down. the raven left and did not come back because it is a scavenger and would have ate on carcasses. the dove is a vegetarian and would have to come back because it could not find food. the plants needed time to germinate. hope that helps. these details make the bible interesting. the bible is not sloppy, people need just need a better understanding

  • How the hell is having a more simplistic and less imaginitive version of something done thousands of times before ground breaking?

    This narration is just silly.

  • they are popular cults , but still cults

  • if anything thoughts faiths are cults

  • islam , judaism and christainity are cults anceint religion worshiped many gods and many spirits that surround the idles.

  • @Gnostic2030 Humanism is also a cult. A pagan cult, at that. Don't forget the humanists. :-D

  • Were none of you flood-believers watching this vid at all? The damn bible was written by huge number of ppl over a very long time (centuries), of course such fiction would be full of loopholes. Thank about it: most story writers can't even keep all seasons of a serial tv show constant, even today!

  • The flood story is also depicted in ancient Sumerian archeological findings in Mesopotamia (current Iraq- between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers) dated 9000 BC mentioning a flood lasting 10 days. Boats were built with animals inside. A dove was released on the 9th day but it came back!. A raven on the 10th day didn't!

  • Or maybe you read the bible wrong? maybe it rained for 40 days and nights, but it took 150 days for the water to vaporize? this is how I seem to get the bible, because I read it in Hebrew, or maybe it's just me who doesn't think the bible is always not accurate, but anything else is always accurate...maybe.../sarcasm

  • @yurishosan You are proposing that all that extra water, the water that flooded the entire earth, that water, evaporated out of our atmosphere(for if it were still here the world would still be flooded today) in a little over 3 1/2 months? I'm not a physicist, but an environment that could vaporize water at the rate of 945,066.489km^3/hr(This estimate is based on flooding the world with just enough water to cover Mt. Ararat) does not sound like one that could sustain life(much less human life).

  • @ShrodingerFu after 150 days of no rain just the mountain tops were reviled, does this make it more suitable to sustain life?

  • @yurishosan More suitable than your first proposition? Absolutely. It still doesn't explain how the waters escaped the atmosphere, why the flood story doesn't correlate with other flood stories across the world, how the great pyramids show signs and carries documents from before the dates of the great flood but show no sign of water damage...and I'm sure I'm still missing some questions. Sorry, but there is no evidence to collaborate such a fantastic story.

  • @yurishosan I also believe that I should add that as a skeptic I believe nothing should go unquestioned. Questions are what drive sciences of all kinds to move forward. If you want to question whether 1+1=2 you are free to do so. But you cannot say it's wrong without an alternate theory that explains why it only appears that 1+1=2. Science is the application of empirical logic to best understand everything around us. We follow the evidence, even when it's not pretty.

  • God answered Abraham prayers ,so he sent prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. He is from Ishmael decendents .Muslims increase every day while christians leaving christianity to be atheist ,agnostic or Muslim

  • @MsTruthvoice yES AND WHAT YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IS THE MORE WHO LEAVE THEN THE MESSAGE OF RELIGION IS EVIL WILL BECOME CLEARER, THEN A NEW PEOPLE WILL RISE AND FIGHT FOR WHAT THEY SEE AS A FALSE MYTH, AN EVIL DRIVEN MUMBO JUMBO, MUHAMMED, JESUS AND ALL OTHER CRAP BELONGS IN HISTORY, A HISTORY TO BE FORGOTTEN.

  • Early Hebrews WERE polytheistic. The wording in their own writings says so.

  • GOD NEVER DIE...

    GOD IS NOT A MAN

  • @UmmahIslam1 GOD NEVER EXIST...

    GOD IS A LIE

  • Incomplete?

  • Thomas Cahill @1:58 "This is a new idea it was an idea no one had before". Not sure what he's referring at that point but if it's about monotheism then he's dead wrong. There was a man who dreamed about one god society. His name was Pharaoh Akhenaten father of Tutankhamen and he transformed Egypt into a Monotheist culture long before there's any written record of Israelites and even then the Israelites still practiced Polytheism.

  • @Ancientreapers Cont: Although Akhenaten's monotheism didn't last past his death Egypt quickly reverted back to Polytheism. The Israelites didn't become a true monotheist society until the Babylonians conquered them.

  • Wow!! this video shows complete refusal t simply READ what the text says!! Wow!! These people truly do hate God!!!

  • @vekl Yes. You can tell they (NOVA) is trying to come off , all intelligent and unbiased, but yet so far every interviewer is someone who seems to have an ax to grind.. I love how the bible has withstood thousands of years against such animosity and scrutiny.

  • @jfitguru I kow. It's really pathetic. As one other guy commented on this video; this video series has only STRENGTHENED my faith. PRAISE GOD!!!

  • @jfitguru

human fear, ignorance and hypocrisy has withstood millions of years against such philosophy, reflection and introspection, let alone your brainwashing theology...God dictated the Bible is some bullshit straight up and you know it...............that's why its a matter of "faith" but there is no Religion higher than Truth

  • @hhhuman hmmm. Wow Im a changed person now. Your comment really made me a new man ! NOT !!! Careful that looked like it took you time to think up that sewage you threw.

  • "Though they, (the Patriarchs) convey a powerful message, to date, there is no archaeology or text outside of the Bible to corroborate them" Rubbish. Go further into history, and the written myths and legends of the Sumerians not only 'corroborate' these stories, but are the basis and foundation of these stories. But if done so, then Judaism would be proven to be based on a Lie.

  • Abraham was not the first to espouse Monothesism ..did not a certain very famous Egyptian Pharoh begin the cult of Ra the Sun Disk G-d?

    This is the Son..no??

  • @BrodyLuv2 Yeah monotheism is older than Judaism, not sure who made this documentary

  • @BrodyLuv2 Yes, it's odd they don't mention RA which was a major religion ca. 2,500 BC. Also odd they don't mention that some/many traditional religions that *appear* polytheistic from the outside, in reality are monotheistic. One God, one power, yet many manifestations.

  • @chrysopoeia321

I agree..well put with regard to Polytheistic distiled core understanding of the One Big Long Now.

  • @chrysopoeia321 What you're describing is called "Pantheism" (Pan being Greek for "all").

  • @Vexille1983 Hm. So Christianity is pantheistic? One God, three manifestations --> God, Holy Spirit, Christ.

  • @chrysopoeia321 Trinitarian Christianity, anyway (Catholic, Orthodox, and derived thereof). While some Gnostic-based Christianities such as the Bogomils and the Albigensians/Cathars that existed during the Medieval period thought tha Christ thought that this world was intrinsically evil, as it was the realm of "Rex Mundi". Not only was Rex Mundi whom they called the Devil, but they also identified him with the Old Testement God. So they believed in two gods, but worshipped one of them.

  • @chrysopoeia321 Trinitarian Christianity, anyway (Catholic, Orthodox, and derived thereof). While some Gnostic-based Christianities such as the Bogomils and the Albigensians/Cathars, who existed during the Medieval period, thought that this world was intrinsically evil, as it was the realm of "Rex Mundi". Not only was Rex Mundi whom they called the Devil, but also identified him with the Old Testament God. So they believed in two gods, but worshipped one of them. Henotheism.

  • @Vexille1983 That's not henotheism. Henotheistic religions accept the worship of other gods, but the main focus is on the primary "king" God. Catharism, Gnosticism, and Zoroastrianism are forms of monotheistic Dualism. They believe that there is an evil god and a good god, but they only worship the good god. Since they only worship one god, they are monotheistic.

  • @chrysopoeia321 Christianity is monotheistic, as are Judaism and Hinduism. They all have one god, but multiple manifestations. Judaism doesn't call them "manifestations" it just says they are different names of god. Christianity has 3 manifestations. Hinduism has thousands of manifestations, but they are all the same god, Brahman.

  • @Vexille1983 No. Pantheism means that the physical universe itself is God.

  • @chrysopoeia321 Why would they mention Ra? This is about the BIBLE. Besides, that Ra religion you're talking about had other gods. It wasn't monotheistic. Ra was the king. It was henotheistic.

  • @chrysopoeia321 egyptians had many gods, muhammeds parents were pagans dey worshipped many gods we all know islam is from abrahamic religion muhammed must have learnt bout this one god stuff and dats why he smashed up the black box in mecca and got rid of all de idols and said only one god now its all so obvious lool

  • @BrodyLuv2 No. It was the cult of Aten, the sun disk. Another god, Ra, represented the rays of the sun. 2 gods. 3 if you count Akhenaten (the pharaoh).

  • @BrodyLuv2 Akennoten's God was fake its that simple.

  • @4lifeReagan I don't want to piss in your cornflakes, but so is yours.

  • @Nomiss9 You'll see how fake he is one day I hope its to late by then. Have a nice day!!!

  • @4lifeReagan You HOPE it's too late by then? How very Christ-like of you!

  • @Nomiss9 I meant I hope its not to late. Regardless though no need for you to worry right? Afterall their is no God.

  • This is quite possibly the second oddest expression I've ever heard.

  • @MoteyJoe Really? Tell me the oddest one. :D

  • @Nomiss9 Once my grandma in a fit of rage yelled, "shit fire and save the matches!" Left everyone stunned for weeks.

  • @MoteyJoe HAHAHA that's awesome. xD

  • @BrodyLuv2 As I understood, the Egyptian Pharaoh Akennoten was the first person in recorded history to espouse the idea of monotheism.

  • @BrodyLuv2 AKENATEN, bitches!!!

  • @BrodyLuv2 Well, if we take the Scritures - regarded either as metaphore or truth - we can see, that the Scriptures start with only one God! Abraham "recovered" the one God faith, by having seeked Him and God eventually disclosed Himself to Abr(ah)am! Next thing xou know is Abraham meeting Melchizedek, who was the king of Salem, and priest of El Elyon, "The highest God" and who brings out bread and wine and blesses Abram! In Genesis Ch 14 we find out, that Abr(ah)am wasn't the first "monotheist"

  • Seems like a mis-interpretation of the facts.

    7:17:And the deluge is forty days on the earth, and the waters multiply, and lift up the ark, and it is raised up from off the earth;

7:24: and the waters are mighty on the earth a hundred and fifty days.

8:3: And turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.

so the waters started to receed after 150 days. 40days and nights of rain.

  • @dambobjob The documentary is based on analysis of the Hebrew text, not English text. An Englishmen in the 16th Century would write very differently from one in Victorian times, and one from USA in early 1900's and from one that lives in Canada in 21st Century, because of the style, semantics and words used. These linguistic analysis of the Hebrew Bible forms the very basis of dating the materials as in JEDPR in the Documentary Hypothesis.

  • @yellowlynx Yeah I get that, I find it very interesting. Im not sure if this is the case for the YLT translation though. As iv done my best to find a good translation, and it seems that the YLT is a good literal version. but yeah if the YLT is wrong, then this doco could very well be accurate. I just found it odd with what I have currently been exposed to.

  • @dambobjob I don't think you really get that. YLT is an English translation. We are talking about the Hebrew text. Would one scribe in the Northern Kingdom (Israel) in 920 BCE used the same words as one scribe during the Babylonian Captivity, living in Nineveh in around 700BCE? The dialects, the words, the vocabulary etc. showed that there were 4 groups of writers for the Torah.

  • @yellowlynx your basically restating the information in the video. There are many translations of the bible to english which have different intent. I have done my best to find a litteral translation. I understand I could be wrong, but the intent of the YLT is to be as literal as possible. Im not a scholar but the people who put the translation together are. Im using YLT as a refrence. From what I know (I admit little) it seems to be credible. But clearly I am no authority on the subject.

  • @dambobjob A lot of things are lost in translation. Only by accessing the text in its original language can you be sure. Try browsing the Google book "The Documentary Hypothesis: And the Composition of the Pentateuch".

  • @yellowlynx I get the point of the video, It may very well be true that different scribes put together genesis. Im only refering to the verses used in the video as the examples. And also this video is in English, so clearly someone is using a translation to express the point using a english translation, It would be nice to know which translation, or a refrence to who translated it for this video example.

  • @dambobjob 7:24; 8:1-2 - "The waters flooded the earth for 150 days. And God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded. And the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens closed, and the rain stopped falling from the sky."

How do you explain that it says it stopped raining AFTER the 150 days?

  • @KayBeeEee1983 A Literal translation (YLT) not an opinion: 1And God remembereth Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle which [are] with him in the ark, and God causeth a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subside, 2and closed are the fountains of the deep and the net-work of the heavens, and restrained is the shower from the heavens. 3And turn back do the waters from off the earth, going on and returning; and the waters are lacking at the end of a hundred and fifty days.

  • @dambobjob The flood story is arranged to make sense. What doesn't make sense is the fact that the patriarchs clearly know and repeatedly use the name YHWH, but in the Exodus story, God tells Moses they didn't know his name.

  • @KayBeeEee1983 This is a different topic, yeah it is very interesting. so it means that the authorship of earlier stories to Moses, must have been done after Moses some time, scholars who adopt the JEDP theory say 1000BCE for J and 9000BCE for E.

A better video on this stuff can be found: watch?v=G6EJPSrOfJg

its more of an object presentation and doesnt use persuasive language, its not as well produced but good studies usually aren't.

  • @KayBeeEee1983 In regards to your flood comment again a good video to watch that makes a note of the cute and paste style is:

    watch?v=-fZoS9O2ado

It talks about the Redaction Criticism. At times the Genesis can come across as a cut and pasting of texts, but none the less the Flood story clearly does sense, in regards to being able to follow the story.

  • therefore, well at least to me, its not "stopped" after 150 days.

    Definition of Lacking:

Not available or in short supply

(of a quality) Missing or absent

    Deficient or inadequate

    ---

Anyway if your translation of the bible is better, then I guess Im wrong.

  • before abraham there was noah who worshipped the one true god. this docu is nonsense

  • Regarding sending out the raven and dove I dont know how that can be contradictory. It says first he sends out a raven which probably did not come back or may died or drowned in the water, seeing the raven not returning he sends out a dove which comes back and so he understands theres no place for the dove to go since theres water everywhere.

  • I would like to comment on the Flood of Noah - Yes it rained for 40 days and 40 nights and NOT 150 days as he mentioned. It took 150 days for the water to subside (Genesis 8:3) Bible has to be read carefully and sometimes its with context one needs to understand.

  • @koolshylesh So how many animals went onto the ark? Two as stated in Genesis 6 or seven as stated in Genesis 7? Context? I hope you live up to that standard of not applying meaning to what isn't implied but I usually get silly rebuttals like "You need God's 'spirit'" in other words, believe everything in it before you read it.

  • @HybridD91 Ok when I read it without looking too deeply, I just come to the conclusion in chapter 6 its talking about pairs (male and female) with the intent of repopulation. Int Chapter 7 it seems that God is being more specific. Something interesting in chapter 7 is that it adds refrence to clean and unclean. From my understanding clean is acceptable for eating. therefore they may not have been needed for repopulation. But I dont know hebrew, I read this in english, so i could be wrong.

  • @koolshylesh this is why I'm not going watch the rest of this documentary if they keep miss reading the bible.

  • Why do they depict the Israelites as Europeans all the time when not one prophet of the Bible came from europe ? The book in the Bible called ZEPHANIAH 1;1 says blantantly that the prophet Zephaniah was a Cushite, meaning a black African, What does a Cushite mean ? Also it was Akhanaton who first preached Monotheism. This is recorded in history .

  • The best evidence is that one of the building collapsed to ground zero faster than a free fall. Hence there ware a force acting on it, in addition to gravity. Which can be explained with explosives creating vacuum in the middle of the building acting as sucking force. The other building collapsed 1 second slower, the third was 47 store skyscraper collapsed for 7.5 seconds. Even if there was structural damage on floor 100, floor 1-80 had no reason to collapse, caring the same weight as always.

  • This is a typical production of National Porno(Geo)graphic "scholars".

The Bible has always been challenged, just as well as the existence of God, Psalm 14:1 begins: "The fool has said in his heart, There is no God."

This "documentary" is not worth seeing. It is a typical cheap brainwash propaganda by the puppets of the "masters" (the owners of the private Federal Reserve) that robbed people from their freedom, money, dignity & other worthwhile things to give them paper money and pornography.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB esides all the other bullshit you said since when is pornography a bad thing?

  • @tinylittlegnat2 Is the Federal Reserve not a private bank? Has not the dollar lost its value continually ever since the Federal Reserve was created? So are the other things that I said true, but you are obviously either a lower class minion of the Banksters, or your cognitive function has been damaged, by fluoride, mercury, vaccinations, if it ever existed, or you are not yet awaken. Tell me now that the 9/11 towers collapsed because of the jets and I don't need to hear anything more from you.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB You never answered my question. Since when is porn a bad thing?

As for the other stuff. I'm sorry I didnt realize I was talking to a conspiracy theorist. Those things you brought up out of no where are easily contradicted by facts. Especially the vaccination thing. I have been vaccinated as well as every single child I went to school with but not a single one was hurt by it. But then again people like you dont let facts and evidence get in the way.

  • @tinylittlegnat2 ha-ha-ha no, you have not been hurt, I can see that. Only that you think that a building can self destruct as if it was loaded with blasts, only that it fell faster than a free falling stone, only that thousands of fire fighters reported explosions, only that Larry Silverstone collected 15 billion $ insurance, only that 3 buildings collapsed, only that this was an excuse for 2 wars, only that the military industrial complex makes loads of money from that.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB I never brought up 9/11. I never even mentioned it. I asked a question about porn(which you still have not answered) and I countered your argument about the vaccinations.

But since you are so adamant about talking about it. Here is the problem with your argument. If it was loaded with explosives where are the remnants? There would be wires, detonators, caps, c4, lots of evidence of a large amount of explosives having been in that building. Your claim has no evidence.

  • @tinylittlegnat2 (continue) Besides there was plenty of evidence, molten metal, dust particles, etc.

If you cant see the problem with official explanation of the collapse of the twin towers and building 7, which should be obvious to every one, then there is no point at all to discuss why vaccines could not possibly be beneficial, and why porn can create only damage.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB

Are you talking about the Illuminati? Important key figures in the NWO conspiracy theory like the Rothschilds and Rockefellers are zionist Jews.

I can write a book about an all powerful spaghetti monster that created the universe and write a verse that says "The fool has said in his heart, There is no Flying Spaghetti Monster." It doesn't logically prove anything but its good for brainwashing followers.

  • @ImExtraGood I am not sure what are you referring to. If 9/11 - I assume that have your own head and brain - use it.

Building do not pulverise on its own, and further that pulverisation went faster than a free fall stone without external force applied. The jet fuel is insignificant so must be something else. Building do not fall on its own footstep unless controlled demolition-ed. When weakened building fall on one side due uneven weakening. Even weakening is only conscious and man made.

  • @PeaceAndGloryMB - I never said anything about 9/11... but since youre talking about the federal reserve, 9/11, and conspiracy theories I was telling you that according to those theories, the people in charge (elite bankers) are zionist jews, ie the Rothschild family. My point was that they would want you to be christian because they've done such a good job with their christian zionism brainwashing in the united states.

This is not the brainwash propaganda... evangelical christianity is.

  • @ImExtraGood You can call the White Black and the Black White if you want, I did not invent this language, so His inventor is to judge you for that. The bottom line is that those three towers including building 7 could not have collapsed in the way they did except if being controlled demolition-ed. I don't care if you call it conspiracy theory or however you like. I rather stick to common sense, sound mind and what is truth rather than being intimidated by a label.

  • @ImExtraGood Also, please learn to be specific and identify the subject of your statements. I again have to guess what are you referring to with your "This" in your last sentence. Now because some have used Christianity as a name, but not as essence to control people does not imply that Christianity is false. Please be careful! Being a Christian requires sound mind, If you read the words of Christ you will find many of the laws of logic there. Christianity requires to live by these.

  • Actually the Bible does not contradict itself. It rained on the earth for 40 days and for forty nights, but the waters did not recede for 150 days. Anyone should be able to understand that.

  • @Luci438 Except that it never happened. There are many contradictions in the bible.

  • how hard is it to understand Noah's ark ? Two of every kind, not ech animal, and he would have most likely taken the babies of each not full grown,..it is simple..and best of all they have known where Noahs Ark is resting, his home, village and his buurial sight etc..eveything is being reveiled if you want to learn it..Only those willingly wanting to stay ignorant will ignore the facts

  • @seekingChrist100

If they took the babies, they'd need their mother's milk, at least special feeding.

How did Noah obtain the diff. trees and medicinal plants? What about insects? There were/are billions of diff. species.

We know today from tree ring analysis, Ocean floor core samples, Ice core samples, etc., that the flood never occurred!

Where'd the water come from and where'd it go?

No, they don't know where any Ark is. There's many claims but no evidence.

  • @Cootabux not if they are winged..Hey watch a Juged Creation,or a special creation..really good video's and can explain it well..But also keep in mind this Ark was huge, over 3 storie's..and many anilmals could hybernate ..You are dealing with the power of God..Noah was only a helper..Watch a judhed creation..explains it all Peace

  • @Cootabux aA judged creation,is what you should watch..And a special Creation..also know Noahs ark has been a monument where it is at now..His village, his home or whats left of hit along with all the ark's anchors and Noah and family burrial sight..its all there for anyone to see..Just Gotta be willing tgo accept the truth.

  • @seekingChrist100

"also know Noahs ark has been a monument where it is at now.."

Anybody can plant a evidence, but is it provento be true evidence? If it's true, it would be a big news but I have never heard of it.

Please post a link to that new source.

  • @allgoo19 Just chill with this guy. He just wants to believe and when faced with fact tries to ignore or claim miracle. You will never convince him. Nor will he you.

I look at the people of organized religion as having Stockholm syndrome. Try an wiki that and see a perfect match on a grand scale.

  • @pumpstations

    "Stockholm syndrome"

    Thanks for the valuable info.

I just googled it and found it very interesting.

As I understand it's similar to battered women sindrome?

Another thing also comes to my mind is people in poverty defend the wealthy people to death which put them to their situation they are in in the first place.

  • @allgoo19 That's a bingo. It hit me like a brick one evening. Mass delusion. It's just a thought. But it does match the definition, as the believers would say, "perfectly"

  • This completely misses the older Monotheism in Egypt during the reign of Pharaoh Akhenaton. 1364-1347 B.C. This is written in stone. This religion was banned in Egypt after Akhenaton's death. Those Egyptian people are persecuted and flee into the Dessert. 200 years later you have the Moses story. The coincidence of both time and place can not be ignored. The God of Moses is the Egyptian god RA. Today says Jews will worship only one god... not that others don't exist.

  • Whats the deal with the artist at 3:30 it seems Eve is packing a little something extra. LOL.

  • DOCU MISTAKE ALERT: 5:38, the bible never says "the flood last for 40 days...", it says it RAINED for 40 days. The next chapter doesn't say the flood last 150 days, it says AFTER 150 days the waters BEGAN to subside. Then he sends TWO birds, a raven AND a dove, multiple times he sends them. Is NOT different accounts. Very flawed docu!

  • Tuthmosis is the person you call moses?

  • 5:12 Those aren't discrepancies.

  • @virulenttrend The Bible doesn't contradict itself? Is that what you're implying?

  • @HybridD91 Referring to the King James version. There are no contradictions.

  • @virulenttrend Read the ending of the four Gospels or the geneaologies in Matthew and Luke, Joseph got different two fathers. The Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 & 34 are different. The creation story is different. Don't say I read em wrong, I haven't. I can give more contradictions if you like. The fact you say there aren't contradictions show either you know nothing about your book or you ignore them.

  • @virulenttrend *has different fathers* 2 Kings 2:11/John 3:13, Isaiah 40:28/ Isaiah 1:14 & 43:24, 1 Chronicles 18:4-7/ 2 Samuel 8:4 more contradictions. From the King James version.

  • 0:10-0:13 , is to understand it's own sense of what? what is the word?thanks

  • why do they keep showing white faces when showing abraham and the original hebrews, when they were all black and dark skinned,? more eurocentric lies

  • niggers and jews

  • This documentary is giving false information at 2:41 he says that there is no other document aside the bible to corroborate the adam and even scene and the flood of Noah . This is completely false the epic of Gilgamesh speaks of the flood and Noah under different name about 1000 years before the Bible .

  • @DonEnesco If it doesn't use the name "Noah", how do you know it's about the same flood?

  • @tiggster13 Well it's very simple . What came first the Trojan war ? or Brad pitt's movie Troy ? Obviously it was the trojan war .

The Epic of Gilgamesh describing the flood that you later find described in the bible was recorded around 2700 2500 Bc , the bible started being written around 1450 Bc. More than a thousand years difference !!!

The Epic of Gilgamesh describes everything the Bible flood story describes + Allot more such as how the boat was build why the gods wear angry etc etc .

  • @DonEnesco Well then, if anything, the biblical account corroborates the epic of Gilgamesh, not the other way around.

Also keep in mind that, just because we have the city of Troy, that doesn't make the Iliad any more historically accurate than Brad Pitt's movie. So too, just because the writers of Exodus borrowed from of the Epic of Gilgamesh, that doesn't mean there actually was a flood.

And how could the OT have been started 250 years before Moses? Where do you get 1450 BC from?

  • @tiggster13 I'm sure where you are trying to get . I am not trying to justify anything simply point out that the Bible at least in part is copied from already existing text .

  • @DonEnesco You said that the documentary lied when it said no document corroborated Genesis. But the Epic of Gilgamesh doesn't corroborate Genesis any more than the Iliad corroborates the movie Troy.

If all you wanted to do was to point out a connection between the two ancient texts, that's ok. But to imply that the older story some how lends credence the younger is a mistake.

  • @tiggster13 I completely agree with you . I was simply pointing out that the information of the flood has it's roots in more ancient traditions and it is not an original Judaic-Christian concept . This being said I also want to point out that allot of Christian-Judaic Ideas and concepts are borrowed from different earlier cultures and traditions . Which should be an eye opener for religious people who have some rational intellectual ability .

  • @DonEnesco Most religious people will ignore it and say our beliefs came first. Most don't even know Hinduism is considered the oldest documented religion.

  • @HybridD91 Religious folks have some serious issues when it comes to evidence which contradicts the safe known world which they have architected for themselves to safely live in . One of my friends just converted to Islam and I must say it's a struggle just talking to him . He says he has seen the light and that no religion is as complex as islam yet he says that Budha was a person and that Buddhist pray to him as to a god . Clearly not knowing anything which is situated outside his radar .

  • @DonEnesco Islam is no better. Buddha's life differs from Hinduism and Buddhism. Hindus consider him a god while Buddhist just see him as prince with wisdom.

  • @HybridD91 Well I can see that you are knowledgeable in Eastern religions don't forget that they too fall victim to human manufacturing . Regarding Buddha what you say is correct however I was referring to the fact that he believed that Budha was a living breathing entity while the Budha is only a tittle . My friend wanted to refer to Siddhartha Gautama the most famous of Budhas but his lack of knowledge made him seem as a arrow minded fool who only sees islam while refuting everything else .

  • not to mention, Israelites are not white....Anyone read Job 30:30, Rev 1:13, Dan the 10th chapter, not only are these smelly rats not Israel, but Christ and Yahawah are men..

  • this is bogus, claiming the bible is wrong because YOU can't understand it! Maybe we have a raven and a dove,...or maybe an interpretor messed up. See how logic works? Isa 55:11, Isa 8:20. 34:16, Josh 1:8

  • cheburashka1326 this is very great information :) Thank you for uploading it

  • Forty days and Forty Nights is actually a term for a long period of days which are immeasurable

  • I love the narrator's voice (the one who's reading the Bible verses)

  • @SnappyHip Liev Schreiber is the narrator's name. The woman reading the Bible verses is Stockard Channing. Both of them have great voices.

  • @IrishEyes1989 LOL I think I've heard that Stockard Channing woman in almost every documentary that had to do with the bible. So much so that she's the only voice I imagine when I go through a bible verse in my head lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Scratch that. The woman I'm thinking of is Jean Simmons. It's always some aged woman, I guess.

  • @evilmick66 Oh gosh, I'm trying to think of which one Jean Simmons is...Right now I'm only thinking of Richard Simmons LMAO.

  • @IrishEyes1989 I think she was in all the History Channel docs. A quick search of her on Google Video gave me Mysteries of The Bible. So there could be your first example.

  • @evilmick66 Oh okay, I'll check that out, thanks :-)

  • didn't Noah send the raven first but since it had nowhere to land it flew back? then he send the dove and it found a branch and flew back with it. HOw is it a discrepancy? also the same thing with the flood and the animals. Did the person read the bible carefully before making these statements in the video??

  • @wenwen1111 REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS OR DONT SAY IT IS JUZ A COMPILATION OF SCROLLS KING JAMES PUT TOGETHER WHY WOULD ANYONE PUT THEIR FAITH INTO 2000 YEAR OLD TEXTS OR ANYTHING YOU CANT SEE? JUZ ASKING! AND GENESIS 1:1 IS A LIE, EARTH AND UNIVERSE WERE CREATED 10 BILLION YEARS APART!!

  • @CNUCKLE903 Don't push your beliefs on our butts when we don't push your beliefs into your butt.

  • @SnappyHip WHO MENTIONED YOU???AND IF YOU WOULD LISTEN YOU WOULD SEE I DONT FOLLOW RELIGIONS, THUS IS NO NEED TO PUSH ANY BELEIF SYSTEM ON ANYBODY. USE JUST COMMON SENSE AND RESEARCH IS ALL I AM STATING.. OH YEA BTW MIND YA OWN BIZNEZZ!!

  • @CNUCKLE903 Well your belief is that you believe there is no God and anyways whats with your CAPSLOCK? huh?

  • @SnappyHip CAPSLOCK REALLY???

  • the makers of this documentary twist the words of the Bible. When they say that in one text of the Bible the flood lasts 40 days and in another 150days, this is where they twisted the Bibles words. The Bible says it rained for 40days and 40nights until the earth was flooded: Genesis 7:4, and then the flood stayed for 150days: Genesis 7:24

  • @jebkrew08: And god allows them to get away with that, huh? Spreading confusion about his word? What's the penalty for that? Stroke of lightening, as I recall.

  • 2012?!?

  • it clear god has nothing to do with the bible.

  • @mahender6969 BC THERE IS NO SENTIENT INTELLIGENCE NAMED GOD IN THE COSMOS, WE MADE HIM UP OUTTA WORD GOOD JUST LIKE DEVIL OUTTA THE WORD EVIL!!! CLASSIC BATTLE OF GOODvsEVIL!

  • @CNUCKLE903 Your comprehension of etymology is the pride of donkeys everywhere.

  • if written by many different people in different times, adding and subtracting as they go......its hard to imagine why they didn't fix these "errors" that are on the very same pages.

  • Most important writer of the Bible is YAHUWAH, he allowed everything to be for a reason. Everything has a purpose leading up to YAHUWSHUA return and the last day.

  • thats bullshit montheism existed in parts of Egypt which survived when Akanaton ruled Egypt....

  • judiasm is not the first monotheistic religion, monotheism started in egypt as usaid but also in canaanite mythology with "molech als known el elyon (the god of gods )" wch made it very easy to change into monotheism !!
