I think if Heath Ledger was still alive we still wouldn't see the Joker in the third Batman movie. People were talking about who will play the Joker in the third movie and I kept asking them what makes them think they're even considering having the Joker again let alone recast the role?
@Nolanfan2001 ''This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible, aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever. '' - The Joker This.
it's so sad, the ending of the TDK with Joker hanging from the grabble gun giving Batman the speech about how they're destined to do this forever just SCREAMED for a sequel with the Joker as the main villain. It's sad we will never see the Joker in Chris Nolans Batman universe ever again, but I think Tom Hardy as Bane will make it up for on so many different levels.
@EmperorTrollpatine I'm hoping that The Dark Knight Rises is a completely different movie than The Dark Knight. Just like that was to Batman Begins. The Dark Knight Rises won't be "better," and it won't be "worse," it will be the most perfect movie it could be. Just like The Dark Knight, Inception, Batman Begins, and other Nolan films.
