The Alarm were the Bomb, saw them , got to hang with them in Chicago, and you are right U2 is not even close, I saw them at the same time, The Alarm were it, U2 not it.........
I am from the states and grew up listening to almost nothing but The Alarm and Big Country. Its an utter shame how bands like U2 have been so big over here and the really talented ones weren't. I love these guys. and I'm making my first record this year and it will be heavily influenced by them!! awesome harmonies here! Thank you for posting!
@johnnybonds77 Will you have a chance to hear Mike singing with Big Country next year? Sure wish I could get over there - or that they'd add a few US shows.
So am I, I don't think race or religion comes into it. I have seen these boys so many times. I am just coming up to 44 years of age (mid life crisis, more than probably)
I am loving all this again, just like Big Country.
God bless boys and Merry Christmas, thanks for all the gigs in Nottingham.
You helped shape my life and I will walk forever by your side.
Dave Sharp = The most underrated rock guitarist of the 1980's. Period.
