  • Hey, Esther :) I've been doing yoga for 4 months. Yesterday I found out that I can do the lotus and put my head on the floor and also the flying pigeon you showed (not entirely straightening the back leg yet). This plank pose however is a real challenge - I shake like a leaf. Would it have any effect if I did it against the wall first, until my hands strengthen up a little? I guess I'm just more bendy than strong... Please keep doing your videos, they are really helpful. Greetings from Bulgaria!

  • i got my yoga mat (not too long ago :D ), but i'm still slipping on it. any suggestions?

  • You may have the wrong mat. The more expensive yoga mats have a non slip surface. You could try talking powder on your hands and feet and see if that helps!

  • I know from experience that some new yoga mats also can be a little slippery at first. Possible solutions include: 1. Leave it out somewhere where you can walk across it barefoot more than a few times. Or 2. Wash it once or more, using a light detergent and treating it like a sweater (don't wring it, roll it in a towel to get out most of the water, then lay it out or hang it up to finish drying).

  • @belekas01 im no yoga expert but you can always get those rubber drawer lines for tool boxes at wal-mart....they aren't that expensive, and would be easy to cover a mat with it... you most likely wont slip at all on that stuff

  • On your original channel page you might be able to remove some of the crass comments people have posted. One of these goes something like this: men who do yoga are gay. This asshole clearly wants to show other men how to use their cocks, and is in all likelihood exceptionally obese and stiff, suffering stress and experiencing anger on a daily basis.
