There was a time that blacks were deemed to be "soft and weak in spirit and in mind," a prejudice used to justify treating them as second-class citizens. Blacks, because of their color, were also viewed as somehow "impure."

Furthermore, just because more blacks are in prison, doesn't mean they are in there simply because of the color of their skin. We don't have a perfect justice system, but it's pretty damn fair. Innocent until proven guilty, that is our way, and you should respect that, if you don't, then you should ask yourself what would be better, or even, what could be worse.
