This is a truly remarkable man. I got to spend ten or fifteen minutes with him backstage the second time I saw him, and he's really a genuine guy. I'll never forget the first time, he was promoting Return to Struggleville, and he would pick up a knife before each song, waving it around for the whole song, then stick it into a stump. then he would pick up another, try to sell it to us, then do his song, waving it all around his head and close to his chest. It was nerve-racking! So many kudos...

Dan Smith (and everyone involved in Listener by extension) knocked me for six. the first time (and every time) i listen to Wooden Heart i get goosebumps, the passion he speaks with is infectious and inspiring, i am very grateful he makes music and that i can listen to it and learn from it. Thankyou.
