And Esteban claims to have been trained by segovia, but said so ONLY after he had died, so it can't be confirmed. Listen to some Segovia, and then listen to Esteban. Not to say he's not a good guy. He did donate that money to the New Orleans relief fund and everything. Good guy, mediocre guitarist at best.

Skills in playing isn't all an instructor is meant to teach to their students, respect for each other and different types of play, as well as different levels is part of it too. Playing a guitar is meant to be for various reasons, being fulfilling to the player is one of the main reasons a guitarist plays a guitar. He sounds like a good man, there's no need to diss him.
esteban one of the top guitar players in the world - hands down. his guitars are great entry level guitars, so people that slam them either aren't taking that into consideration or they just want to slam on someone just because. i have some really great videos of him playing with the cleveland pops on my channel... check 'em out.
