In response to a person who was demanding to see Obama's "long form birth certificate," i brought my son's TWO forms: his birth certificate AND the long form. They are two separate documents. Only the birth certificate is legal identification for my son. I know from experience. I've taken the long form to my local Social Security Office; it is NOT legal identification for my son.
Long form states: Send in. The state will send you your child's birth certificate stamped with the state seal.

Here's a hypotherical for you. What if Osama Bin Laden fathered a child with a U.S. citizen and the child was born on U.S. soil? Would we want a child of Bin Laden ruling our country? Just release the original, long form Birth Certificate (not the Certificate of live birth). The long form is on file as testified to by Hawaiian officials (originals were not destroyed as stated by CNN Chief John Klein). In the spirit of TRANSPARENCY of the Obama Administration, just release the original which shows the name of the hospital and the doctor and a witness of the birth. The short, computer generated form shows only that a parent or guardian applied for a birth certificate.

Around age 12 is when Obama started thinking about being president, so after doing some research and finding out he would be ineligible spent the rest of his teen years and his early 20's creating a time machine. He then travelled back in time, posed as his dad, submitted the birth announcement in the paper, placed some bets on various sporting events, and then after collecting his winnings came back and won the presidency.

I have only two reasons as to why I know where I was born. First, my parents told me, and second, my birth certificate. I assume the same is true of most everyone. Do the American people not have the right to ensure we know the truth? Why should we have to rely on someone from Hawaii saying I saw the B.C. so its ok? Does that just seem silly? Why cant we see the official form? Strange how they want to argue this away, seems simple to resolve, if they have the certificate.

The question of Obama's birth place was a perfectly reasonable one. In response to a person who was demanding to see Obama's "long form birth certificate," i brought my son's TWO forms: his birth certificate AND the long form. They are two separate documents. Only the birth certificate is legal identification for my son. I know from experience. I've taken the long form to my local Social Security Office; it is NOT legal identification for my son.
Long form states: Send in. The state will send you your child's birth certificate stamped with the state seal.

Lets see, when you get a state copy of your birth certificate (depending on the state) you get a short form saying "certificate of live birth". I have my birth certificate and it's says "certificate of live birth" and I am born in the U.S. it's the excat same as Obama's. It has his state seal and all the info. But on state copies, it does not have the hospital name. Again, this is on state copies.

I'm American. My son was born in Tokyo. His mother is Japanese. As the child of an American citizen (born anywhere in the world), he's considered a natural born citizen. The law does NOT require both parents to be US citizens.

Your definition of natural born citizen appears nowhere in the Constitution, in no statute, in no Supreme Court case, and is supported by no current legal scholar. Your definition retroactively makes Chester A Arthur ineligible for the presidency, as well as several other presidential candidates. As Wong clearly showed in dicta, natural born citizen comes from common law, which stated that all those born in the allegiance of that realm (jus soli) are natural born citizens. 169 US 649, 655.

A non citizen cannot be convicted of treason.
Also, look up the legal definition of "natural born citizen," if he was born in kenya to an american mother he would still be a "natural born citizen."
Finally Obama's supposed secrecy, if it even exists, is likely only in an effort to keep conservatives focused on this issue, which makes them seem petty and stupid, and keeps them distracted from the other things Obama is doing.

Just release the original, long form Birth Certificate (not the Certificate of live birth). The long form is on file as testified to by Hawaiian officials (originals were not destroyed as stated by CNN Chief John Klein). In the spirit of TRANSPARENCY of the Obama Administration, just release the original which shows the name of the hospital and the doctor and a witness of the birth. The short, computer generated form shows only that a parent or guardian applied for a birth certificate.

Obama may have been born in Hawaii, but Gibbs is being stupid. The birth certificate was NOT put on the internet. It was only a Certification. A birth certificate gives the doctor and exact hospital location, which Hawaii provided for in their 1961 birth certificates.

ok, so i'm definately not a conspiracy type guy, i'm not racist or stupid (for the most part. but what was presented wasn't a birth certificate, or even a certificate of live birth, it was a certificATION of live birth, which is of even less value apparently. the other thing that worries me is congress unanimously passes a resolution recognizing Obamas Hawaiian birth. BUT why would that need to be done if he were already a citizen? any answers? comments?

They passed that resolution to get people on the record that they acknowledge Obama was born in Hawaii. In the end even Michelle "Obama isn't pro-america" Bachmann signed it. You know they do some really stupid things in congress, but I have to say that was a pretty brilliant move.
Now the question is, are the birthers going to throw out of office their representatives if they said YAY on that biil? Seems like if they really believe in their movement they have no choice.

You have to think outside the box. Around age 12 is when Obama started thinking about being president, so after doing some research and finding out he would be ineligible spent the rest of his teen years and his early 20's creating a time machine. He then travelled back in time, posed as his dad, submitted the birth announcement in the paper, placed some bets on various sporting events, and then after collecting his winnings came back and won the presidency.

I have only two reasons as to why I know where I was born. First, my parents told me, and second, my birth certificate. I assume the same is true of most everyone. Do the American people not have the right to ensure we know the truth? Why should we have to rely on someone from Hawaii saying I saw the B.C. so its ok? Does that just seem silly? Why cant we see the official form? Strange how they want to argue this away, seems simple to resolve, if they have the certificate.
