So many Texas men make me almost wish the damned state would secede from the Union. But Texas has also given us many splendid women, such as Barbara Jordan, Anne Richards, and Molly Ivins. And they force me to reconsider my hasty, uncharitable impulses. I still miss them all, and our country is poorer without such wonderful women. Sarah Palin seems pretty meager by comparison, indeed.

I am a Republican. A Far Right Republican. But, I have a strong admiration for Barbara Jordan, Ann Richards, the late Geraldine Ferraro, and Hillary Clinton, are WAY better then Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. Im a Ron Paul supporter. Not a Neocon idiot. Anyway, my greatest regret is that Jordan,Clinton,Ferraro, and Richards were not Conservatives. None of the less, they are heroes.

Barbara Jordan is the 1970 EQUIVALENT of Sarah Palin! Listen to her words and ignore the political names and you will realize she is a conservative. Listen to her speech about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and then come back with real discussion. The Democrat party of today is NOTHING like that of yesterday. This speech is diametrically opposed with todays Democratic Politician (but probably not the average Democrat voter). Wake UP!
