  • Son for you, carineano?

  • Man I HATE those things by Kailua beach (located in Oahu) there can be a bunch on some days

  • Nigga what? Pfft, that's a dumpling wrapper. Just put chicken in there and fry it. :D

  • @Conskript dude ur right but also even plantes can kill u everything in the ocean can kill you

  • This is why man evolved and left the sea, because too much shit there can kill you, sharks, manetes, predator fishes, ect.

  • POP THAT MAN-O-WAR

  • ive seen 2 of these wheni went there, the waves sent them to shore but they were still alive and kinda twitching..

  • man o war :)

  • sqoooosh :3

  • poor thing....

  • Quick! Pick it up and put it back in the water!!1

  • dont be a wuss, kick the thing with your bare foot like Robbie Gold would.

  • omfg Poke it with the fucking stick o_o

  • OR YOU'LL DIE!

  • I picked up a man o war without knowing what it was.. it didn't sting me.. and until a random guy on the beach advised me otherwise I was walking around with it in my pocket!

  • tadinha!! ela ficou agonizando...

  • They don't normally look like that. It looks like someone hooked it with something or stuck something through it to prop it up like that. You can touch the round bubble part but it'll make your skin itch. Just don't touch the tentacles or anything else on the under side or it'll do more than itch.

  • Dude if you see another get away from it!That's the 9th most dangerous thing in the world, you'll get your butts poisoned off!

  • i see these things on the gold coast (Australia, queensland, goldcoast) all the time whats the big deal?

oh yeah and the bubble part is fun to pop cause it makes really loud sounds

  • Comment removed

  • Its not dead!! Btw, i fish a lot and i sometimes come across some along the beaches in Mauritius. I have popped one, it didn't sting me. I thought it was the egg of something.

Btw, my dad told me that his fingers were paining when he once popped one. But we didn't die, hehehe

  • i'm portuguese two!! xP

  • I want to pop the top of it lol . is there anything in there or is it just air ???

  • Why portuguese are man of war?

  • Comment removed

  • @XxTomR6xX

portuguese man o' war is a ship design.

This animal has a name refering to it because it's usually seen floating above watter surface (the baloon part) and barely sinks.

It's stings are very poisonous so it's advisable to avoid touching them on they're tentacles.

  • @rodasnepervilo im portuguese xD

  • shoulda just stomped on it and see what happened....... u.u

  • What happens if you touch it? The balloon thingy I meant. Not the tentacles.

  • @kazawesome

nothing happens... its like touching a small ballon lol .... buht the tentacle faaaaaaak it sting like shit lolz lolz dont even try touching it lmao =P i got stung playing on da beach with mates lol... ohh its da worst feeling of ma life..

  • @kazawesome Good question! I didn´t try it, but I guess it´s safe to touch the bubble.

  • @masterbister i don't know if people touch a dead jellyfish they still could get stung

  • @masterbister the balloon thing wont hurt you . they washed up on our beach one time and i stepped on the tentacles and i got a horrible blister

  • @masterbister Nothing happens. The way A jellyfish Stings is it has barbs that protrude from it's tentacles (when it eventually does sting) that pump venom into you much like snakes. the 'bulb' as some may call it, is not at all bad to touch. Handlers will always picks them up from that area.

  • @masterbister ya i went to the beach one day and we found those one stung me so we just started to pop those buble things i guess when ever u pop them a whole buch of jellyfish come because i poped a couple and then all of the sudden it was a sea of jellyfish on the beach

  • @TheAntonio13399 there not jellyfish

  • @masterbister

Well actually you dan take them safely by their saily thing for so far I know. We had such a plague on the last day of ou'r surfcamp.

  • @kazawesome The balloon thing doesnt do anything to you and its really soft but the tentacles hurt like hell.

  • @kazawesome my aunty used to pop the bubble with her heel so ya its safe

  • @kazawesome noting happens when i was a kid if i picked them up the life guard would pay me 25 cents every portuguese man of war soo yea you can pick it up from the top

  • @kazawesome the tentacles hold all the spears , the balloon or mantle, is completely harmless , i wouldnt risk douching it just incase a tentacle were to flap and smack ya though

  • @kazawesome A nuclear blast. Best not to touch it.

  • @kazawesome nothing that part is not posinous

  • @kazawesome Nothing will happen if you touch the cap. Especially if its with the tip of your finger, the chemicals on a jelly fish's stingers enter your pores and that's what makes it hurt, You don't have any pores on the tip of your finger.

  • If you poke them then they will pop.. but then it almost always happens the tentacles touch you..

  • @gullymob I dont

  • i wonder what happens if you poke it with a needle

  • @gullymob I always wondered that as well, but then i'm thinking - it's a living creature! I wouldn't wanna do something that horrible to something living ^^ But at the same time i'm very curious ;) So ...

  • pop it

  • I like stepping on these and hearing them go pop.

  • does it have any poison?

  • Everybody here wanted you to pop it.

    Son, I am disapointed.

  • Even though that Man-O-War Jellyfish is very small, that is just a new born. A full size adult is about 7 feet wide, and could get to about 25 feet long because of their long tentacles!

  • touch it ?

  • Will it blend?

  • @almaz405 Hi!

I don´t quite follow you - how could it blend? Do you mean sort of melted down?

  • @masterbister you know, the Japanese blend the jellyfish then putting the in ice creams , cookies....... they're CRAZY!!!

  • @masterbister He was referencing a popular youtube show called "will it blend" where a guy blends weird stuff in a special blender... like cell phones, etc

  • @masterbister you dont get it, its a show.

That term is usually used on things that are hated like 'fag in a blender' (cris crocker)

  • @masterbister Will it blend is a joke, there is a youtube channel Willitblend they blend things in a blender.

  • @YamiPoyo OK, i see. In Malmö/Sweden there were some sort of installation in an exhibition som years ago, were the artist had put aquarium fishes in a blender - free for all to push the button.

  • @masterbister Thats sick.

  • If you've seen an adult one, they can kill you. They are HUGE! but dont pop them, or it sounds like a small bomb hit.

  • hundreds of these at SE FL beaches. baby ones though

  • I once sat in a rock pool with foor of these and they bloody hurt!

  • That was the shitty part about being a Pro scuba diver ! oh and Sharks and crocks .. Alligators are pusses tho ..

  • is it poisonous?

  • @ScreamsOfLurve ya it is

  • @ScreamsOfLurve

    Yes it is

  • ive those but about an inch long and i poped un by stepping o them

  • thats a man of war, alright...

  • Ew I never even knew these were dangerous when I was younger me and my sister would walk right up to then not minding the fact they had tentacles (or whatever those stingy things are) and just poke the hell out of them Its a wonder how I never got stung

  • Screaming in my head: ( TOUCH IT! TOUCH IT! TOUCH IT....! )

  • what's a man of war? some kind of deadly jelly fish???

  • It's a deflating misshapen condom!

  • u know wind yhese days

  • Oh my this sure takes me back when I was a kid! I use to go to the beach a lot and always see those "Portuguese- man- of war" in the sand or in the water. I even got stung by them lots of times before.

  • @liloboy911808 if u got stung by them lots of times before u would be dead by now because their venom is so powerful

  • @777pearce You cant die by them! Jelly fish maybe! But not these guys! Unless you get stung by 100's of them at onces then maybe u can die or just go black out. When ever i got stung by one all I did was just rub sand on myself, it helps!

I live in Hawaii and the water is clean and the sand is clean here so I was okay :)

  • ok i dont care if its on the beach or in the water or anything im not getting near it. i heard if it stings you your dead or something like that

  • @Rooney134 yes, its very deadly

  • @KamiKazeKrepe not deadly at all, just hurts like a bee sting

  • @Rooney134 I think that's Box Jellyfish.

  • @LGTheOneFreeMan haha no a box jellyfish is tiny, and shaped like a cube. thats a bluebottle

  • @XpenANDpaperX

you dont know very much about these things.

they are called portugese MAN OF WAR for a reason.

if you are in the water, and you see this thing floating, you are within killing distance.

i would rather see a great white shark next to me than this thing. their paralyzing tentacles get up to 40 meters long, btw.

  • @sniktawleahcim Yea. I though that was a jellyfish XD Still is a living being and i think that thing could be more harmless in the water than in the sand...

  • their not really jellyfish, i read that their more like coral made up of tiny creatures or something like that

  • a year or 2 ago, this thing washed up on the shores of Alabama, we found out if you step on them, they pop haha

  • poke it ... i darezz u 2

  • omg! :O how small and soooo cute! :D too bad its dieing... D:

  • @leader16012 To bad it kills about 1000 humans a year, but as long as the jellyfish stays alive, were aaalll happy.

  • Omg I saw one today !!!! Soooooo scarey and ....ugly ! But the can't kill u .. Well prob not , they only killed 2 ppl b4

  • omg i wanna poke it!!

  • it looks like a funky blue balloon that's why people touch it lol

  • Just waiting to be stepped on. Natural Land Mine!

  • poke it with a stick, and see if it moves

  • @joaomarcosvelez No, dont poke it with a stick!

Its expecting that. This is how man-o-wars hunt! Its a trick.

It will just grab the stick with one tentacle, burn your hand with another and then use the rest as feet and go Shaolin ninja stick/tentacle on his ass.

    Ive seen it happen!

Right now its thinking: Get a stick... get a stick.. Cant you see my smurf-hat? Get a stick and poke it! Just a little closer...

Its using our instinct to poke bloated stuff against us.

    Fierce

  • hm i remember reading an encyclopedia tht even if the man o' war is dead , it still can sting right?

  • @aislebaiX3 Yes. It still can sting.

  • i'd pop it or fry it lmao

  • is that a blown up condom?

  • I got strung over 8 times yesterday by these little fellas:)

  • Touch touch touch touch! Touch the tentacles, it's not dangerous, only a bit of "excruciating pain"haha lolo.

  • I step on those all the time on the beach

  • I was born on feb 25th

  • Why didn't you put it back in the water?

  • rub its belly for good luck

  • Did it died?

  • @Pandolin11 Yes, it died.

  • @masterbister :'(

  • @masterbister can it still sting

  • @masterbister He's dead jim

  • @Pandolin11

FUCK YEAH IT "DID IT DIED?!"

  • @Pandolin11 No, it lived happily ever after.

  • small but deadly

  • is that thing a jellyfish i cant tell?

  • @craftwar12 No actually that's a common misconception though Portuguese Man of War are actually siphonophore a colony of four kinds of minute, highly modified individuals, which are specialized polyps and Medusa. Basically they are many organisms living in one body!

  • @MONSTATRUKK oh ok thanks for explaining that to me :D

  • This is why I don`t want to take a bath in the sea. Think I`m gonna hang on to the swimming pool =).

  • POP IT!!! >:O

  • condom goes where?

  • My friend and i got stung today while surfing by the same looking jellyfish. There was hundreds all across the shore. My friend got it the worse, i just got some in my fingers and back of my feet, it was still painful. Poor buddy of mine was in excruciating agony :/ but we are cool now XD

  • Alright, those of you who think a jellyfish that has washed up on the beach is dead, its not. They continue to live even after they are no londer in the water.

  • no, even a dead man-of-war is a dangerous one take it from me i accidently steped on a dead jellyfish and it stilll hurt and i had to go to the hospital

  • put it back in the water

  • @Puffthecarrier1 EZ get yer hands in its head not its leg

  • @zorbaknecromancer um technically, Jellyfish/man-o-wars don't have legs or heads. Just a body and tentacles/stingers

  • also known as blue bottles >.>

  • haha. i get stung by them every 3-4 months. but a week ago i got stung by them 3 days one by one

  • I hate these things man! I've been stung something fierce by them.....sucks!

  • I hate those little bastards I see them all the time when I'm fishing try getting the hook out if you snag one.

  • wait did that thing actualy lift itsself. hooly shit.

lol one time i was swimming on my boat and a shark raped a jellyfish -_-

  • lol wut

  • I remember swimming in the sea in greece. surrounded by sea turtles as they were at the hight of their breeding season so were getting ready to come up to shore at night to lay their eggs. While swimming alongside the beautiful creatures I felt an odd stinging sensation on my legs. Came back to shore and my legs were like tree stumps lol Don't know what sort of jellyfish stung me but it hurt like hell!

    Amazing creatures.

  • I got on on my finger last week while swimming at Miami Beach, hurted like hell for about 10minutes...

  • it looks like a balloon hahaha

  • I was stung by a man o war. 1 tentacle got wraped around my leg wile I was in the florda keys. It hurt!!!!

  • you shoulda popped it

  • i wanna poke a hole in a jellyfish and suck out its fluids

  • @Tonyrocks5

So you want to commit suicide?

  • Wow, I hope somebody cleaned that thing up or put up a warning or something.

  • ive herd that the bell is filled with hydrogen. jellyfish+match=BANG!

  • possible new terrorist wepon.

    JELLYFISH BOMBS

  • that whole terrorist thing is fucking bulshit goverment PROPAGANDA

  • @Binochy77 maybe when a terrorist reads your comment, they might try to make one :O

  • @Binochy77 rofl

  • You'll probably call me stupid, but why are the tentacle like things on a jellyfish harmful? Do Jelly fish have tiny spike, or are the tentacle's just poisonous?

  • they sting you and leave red marks

  • if they touch you tiny pipes shoot out and inject poison

  • There are protein stingers, tiny, in their tentacles. They spring out when they're touched. Usually just horrible pain, except in the case of the box jellyfish, which usually causes death in three minutes.

  • nematocysts, the stinging cells on the tentacles, fire harmful toxins

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD Good question actually! I'm no expert, but I think there ARE tiny spikes on the tentacles. They are microscopic, and when they come in contact with flesh they shoot out, injecting the victim with poison. It'll kill small fish for the jellyfish to eat, and the most poisonous one in the world, the box jellyfish, will kill a human.

  • The spikes on them are really small, the pain comes from the poison.

  • looks like a used condom that never been throwed away

  • i wanna come to a beach with a 22. and pop a cap in that things ass

  • oh this creatures are sucks. it made me giggle. i wnna kill them all. bitch thing!

  • Actually Man O' War are not jellies, they are Siphonophores.

  • i've been stung by these things many times when i use to live in hawaii. stung like a bitch, but it wasn't deadly. not to me anyway

  • that's his cousin, a jellyfish..

  • for those who want to know how jellyfish mate it is through asexually or sexual reproduction. in the sexual stage the free swimming female releases round gold eggs then the male gives out sperm. The sperm and egg both come from the medusae or bubble like part. the sperm and egg then make a larva with can attach to a rock or other surface then turn in a Polyp that in the asexual stage begins to form buds that become tiny medusae the medusae falls off and the cycle begins again.

  • good info.

  • @lexigale actualy, males release a long string of sperm which the females ingest and then release the egg that has been fretilised

  • Hehe.. They dont kill you .... they just hurt a bit.. do some research :P

  • bees dont kill people unless.... do i need to go on so yes they can kill you

  • XD your comments make me laugh guys

Yeah it's pointy it's probably from the kkk agaisnt the other jellyfish

  • How do jelleyfish mate?

  • i thnk they r like cells and split up into there offspring.

But tht is just a guess

  • Jellyfish are dioecious; that is, they are either male or female. In most cases, to reproduce, both males and females release sperm and eggs into the surrounding water, where the (unprotected) eggs are fertilized and mature into new organisms. In a few species, the sperm swim into the mouth of the female, allowing the fertilization of the ova within the female's body.

    Source: Wikipedia

  • when a mommy jelly and a daddy jelly love each other, or the jelly just trying to get sum pussay. they do it and have you. I mean Jelly babies
