Reach has amazing multiplayer and gameplay, definitely the best of the Halo series.

The Campaign, however, is a completely different story, and the reason why Reach wasn't the best Halo game. Not only is there little character development for Noble Team, but THE GODDAMNED STORY INCONSISTENCIES really got on my nerves. The game's campaign destroyed half of the book series. To this date, I don't consider Reach's campaign canon. And I never will.

@Malckeor The thing is that the books didn't have anything to do with Reach and the Halo books weren't created by bungie, it's not bungies story. Bungie could do whatever they wanted with the game, whether it made sense or not, they're the creators they were allowed to do what ever they want with it.

Sorry if this is written poorly it's really hard to write all that in a past tense frame, where now they have no control oover it at all

The first Halo book was called "The Fall of Reach," where the Battle of Reach lasted ONLY TWO HOURS, and the Pillar of Autumn NEVER LANDED. John and the survivors from Halo CE go back to Reach in First Strike, also.Bungie constantly said over the years that the books were 100% canon, and even gave the authors the HALO BIBLE so they didn't contradict the canon.

Bungie fucked up. Plain and simple.

Because,halo is more than just a 1st person shooter.now,I'm just making a comparison here,ok,so fanboys,chillax.CoD has no map editor,and just launched a theatre mode,which was probably 'inspired' from halos.Halo is MORE than just a first person shooter.it has more character-driven stories-more creative ones at that-and it has an amazing map editor.halo takes strategy to rack up kills,with the shields and such.

You know why do you hate games .... they are both great beacuse they have their own way and type of playing it.

CoD has been with us for years and was not very much changed in the way you play and the REAL fans want to keep it that way.
