J.D. here. My question was actually a theoretical one that my wife posed to me. If, for some reason, a metallic dragon was no longer good, would it still be a metallic dragon, or would it change on some fundamental level? Become a chromatic, maybe? I think it would make for a neat adventure hook... Go seek the help of a metallic dragon... Oh No! he's evil! You must defeat him! ..But that only works if you can have an evil metallic.
