Tangerine Dream... blah blah blah blah ....psychedlische rock music
Who needs to speak German? (Well, I hope noone is offended by my amusement at understanding little snippets of English amongst -to me - incomprehensible German). ha ha

Well, i like technology, so i love synthesizers. Musically in the harmonic i don't rate the synth-composers as very interesting. Bryan Ferry once joked that is takes much more money and effort to produce a Roxy Music Album than one of Brian Eno. As sound surrounding i feel synths much more free than radio songs. As soon as synth music began to sound like music, i got sad: Tangerine dream since 1975 or so are a Lemon-Nightmare to me. The archieved experiments are super!
They are singing "sing this all together" by the rolling stones (thier satanic majesties request album) to the music of "set the controls for the heart of the sun" by pink floyd.
Weird, like Tangerine Dream as the Doors doing the Rolling Stones' 'Why don't we sing this song'! Wish there was footage of the Tangs doing Phaedra live, cool vid tho.
this is my favorite tagnerine dream era. I wish they made more acid rock recordings like this.

This is fascinating for a hardcore TD fan. From primitive beginings great things can emerge.

Tangerine Dream have put out a lot of great music since then, but I love their early, completely bizarre experimental material like this the most.

In 1969 Tangerine Dream were support act to Jimmy Hendrix in Berlin. Salvador Dali was in the audience. Its true!

In fact Edgar Froese was Dali's protégé.

This band should have played Woodstock in place of Sha Na Na.
