I currently own both an iPhone 4 and Samsung Nexus S 4G. I really love the Nexus, but there are things it lacks that the iPhone doesn't. They are both great phones/brands for totally different people. I used to be opposed to Android, like the typical iPhone user; but then I tried it out and ate my words. Basically, don't say Apple/Android sucks if you haven't tried it out yet. If someone is really tech savvy, they don't care about brands- they care about quality. Just saying.

I totally agree about the difference. Robot ninjas are cool, but it does not tell me why I should drop a couple hundred on a droid. I want to see how I would actually use it and how it fits in my life. So when I see an iPhone commercial that shows me how I can easily share stuff with friends and family, it makes sense.

i think it's because iphone's are so recognizable, they dont need any story to lead up to the product. everyone knows what they look like, and there isn't so many models to keep track of. they literally only have to promote one phone for the whole year.

androids will always be faced with this issue though. because so many new phones are released so frequently, unless you're a techy person it's hard to keep track of what's new!

iPhones tend to be for the older generation and people that are avid apple lovers. I stick with Android because the phones are cheaper and for every one iphone there are tons more android devices coming out every month.

I think it also might have a lot to do with the fact that android software is so different from phone to phone that you can't really advertise the platform itself. Furthermore a lot of android phones lack the "inspiring" features that Apple packs into their phones so there isn't as much to advertise.
