I grew up in the 50's watching Amos & Andy & loved it!! I sure miss not being able to enjoy this show- it wasn't about making fun of blacks- it is just DARN GOOD ENTERTAINMENT!! They are classic!!

@nickelwindow53 it takes place in Harlem, which is in upper Manhattan, NY. Ther really is no plot, it's kind of like an original Seinfeld.

There's a Warner Bros cartoon with Daffy Duck entitled: I Want a Divorce. This show reminds me of that cartoon,, Daffy says "Yes my love" a billion times just like George does , his wife wears a hat that looks exactly like Mrs Stevens and yes, she wants a divorce, too.... what a hoot of entertainment! It's just way toooo bad some people just don't see the humor of these great entertainers!
